That Volvo engine is almost indestructible. I had a '66 122S, and there have been times I wish I hadn't sold it.

A boat upholstery friend of mine told me how I could save my boat seats and vinyl tops and car tops & upholstery when they started to get old and chalky was on a hot day cover your vinyl with petroleum jelly the petroleum will soak into the vinyl and Revitalize it.

Love the Singer! 😍 I recently bought a 1970 Volvo 142 and want to restore it, it has almost the same engine, a B20.

But it's not a Singer : It posseses neither of the Singer's main attributes , neither the underslung chassis frame, nor the traditional overhead cam engine : Only the peripheral cosmetic shell is of original Singer manufacture : The frame is MGA which is overslung at the rear , presumably retaining the MG axle/diff assy , judging by the widened mudguards at the rear,.... and the front i.f.s. is presumably courtesy of the MGA ,too. The power train is Volvo , so it's a tad disingenuous to stick a Singer badge on the rad. cowl .

When I was young in Australia,Singer sports cars like this one were regarded as rubbish. They had a reputation of falling to pieces when driven. So I guess this why your car is a body on a car transplant. IHaving said that it was seeing this car that alerted me to your interesting channel.

I have a friend that owns a Napa Auto parts store. Years ago he got a Mazada sport car and I use to ask him how it handled. Well fast forward one day he told me he added a super charger to it and I teasing him was it fast now. Well almost lunch he asked me did I want to see how it ran? Well I was amazed at how fast and responsive it was > It was an amazing experience. What do you think ? A super charger for the Singer???????????????????

Got to be careful when buying Singers. It's easy to get stitched up. Ah as it didn't run nor drive I see you were stitched up. Get them sorted and they run like a sewing machine though. More jokes and puns to follow in another thread.
