"Like it or not, Irving was the man behind the scenes pulling all the strings." Yep, puppeteers gonna puppeteer.

What.a great story! I appreciate Irving as you do. But, I am not happy about what has happened to ticket pricing in the last decade. I realize inflation may be a factor to a small degree. However, it does not explain how when I saw a band in concert in the 70s it cost me less than $10 . Where to see the same band today will cost me $1,000. Inflation, streaming services, you name the excuse. There is no rationale reason for that kind of increase other than pure greed. And of course. there are some who can afford it. And the bottom line is the bands or Irving are not in the business of performing as much as they are in the business of performing before people they have deemed worthy by their ticket prices to perform.

I appreciate hearing your intuition about people. I don't have that skill, until after something bad happens. I want achievers to be treated fairly. I believe in merit if our cultural ideals are also respected.

This is probably why " live " or so called concerts are in a dire state today . Not like in the days where live shows were more than lip syncing juke box shenanigans. Musicians actually played live mistakes and all

Irving Azoff? What a messy subject....brilliant businessman, but his main job that made him famous was running a hard bargain for the artists.

I've had lots of "encounters" with Irving. I've even spent time on his private jet and it doesn't suck. Lot's of stories. HaHa.
