I’m getting a lot of comments that make it clear my explanation wasn’t easy enough to understand unfortunately and I will do better next time. So here’s a comment. I’m talking slow because I thought that would make it easier. Guess not. 😅 My history is not off. I have sources I will add to the description. If history is NOT FOR YOU, this video is not for you. 1506 marks GENERALLY when some Norse Settlers were coming to the continent America, including Canada and America. Which I said it was about general and not the FIRST and cut out which I didn’t think was needed, now I know I need to be much more clear. Again this is researched that image of the boats is directly from my resource that cites early 16th century. The resources also confirm these 16th century settlers were NOT Christian. I used direct historical references that align with the all of my dates. I didn’t make this up off my head and I’ve been collecting information for months which is why I didn’t post this video way sooner. I hope majority of people enjoyed this video and understood. Once more dates get comfirmed I’ll be making a follow up and make it easier to understand.

It's one of the reasons i both love and hate the writers of lost/from. I have a feeling in the end i will be disappointed, the conclusions rarely ever pay off from the theories/mystery's you got rattling around in your head. But it's a very fun ride till ya get the answers. Gotta love when a show becomes almost interactive in a sense by getting you the try and solve it before you get there. Oh and good catch faceless, i never caught the license plate. I wonder if it's gonna be revealed that the dates depict other cars and maybe others belongings. The show seems to love showing off the previous residents stuff. Maybe they are setting up that revelation but for what purpose idk. But maybe it will click sometime? Perhaps the numbers and cycles will let them traverse the tree. I wonder if the tree can allow them to go back in time. Lost had time travel to an extent. It's not too far fetched as time slowed after the mom touched victors dad. Not to mention a lot of other things from lost can be found in this show like the hatch fatima found etc. Maybe if they go in at a certain time of day they can visit other places. It would explain how the daughter ended up being the one to travel back in time to save boyd as we seen and given the fact martin doesn't seem to be able to die. I think they added the dates as a way/clue to find a way back to their time period/aren't forgotten. And the fact it's strung up on the magical teleporting tree. Says a lot i think they are a guide in a sense. p.s, i was writing this as i was watching this. So you probably already mentioned this and put it into better words than i could.

What if the Faraway tree is connected to these places & the monsters of each cycle? Who do we know who has gone through a Faraway tree and where did they end up? • Julie to the root cellar • Tabitha to the lighthouse • Dale to the pool/motel • Sara to the church • Boyd to the Ruins/Martin • Victor to the caves We know the Ruins had a monster in it (Martin). I saw somewhere that Martin's marine tattoo is from 1848 to 1867 - so he could be a part of the 1864 or 1888 cycle. The Ubume has to be connected to the root cellar somehow. And the root cellar is out of town, so could have been from its own cycle. If it came in 1931, the paint could still have been fresh enough in 1978 for Victor's flash back. Plus there's a ruined building behind it that you see Kenny and Boyd walk past in the scene where the Ballerina walks out of the root cellar in Season 2. Maybe there used to be a house there. Also interesting note, Thalia Massie of the Massie trial suffered a miscarriage due to preclamsia in the summer of 1931 - before she reported the assault. Could that be a connection to the Ubume? Dale seems to be the biggest odd one here. But if the monster for 1978 is the thing talking to Jim on the phone/radios and crushing the house. What if it lives in the missing Motel? There could be a similar hidden place situation happening with the Ruins with the Motel. And Dale was transported to it.

Great video! You have a lot of eye-opening points. Granted, the original Norse settlement took place earlier, but that does not negate the fact that the 1506 date is an important one... perhaps the time of the children's sacrifice that created this place. All of your other date connections are spot on. The connection with Norse beliefs and the "World Tree" with its 3 roots (as well as Odin and the one-eyed references we see in the show) is one that I feel will play a definite role. Also, in 1506, the Catholic church hadn't christenized everyone yet, and the older religions were very much a part of many cultures (it was the start of the Inquisition and forced conversions that lasted several hundred years), so no bibles at that time makes sense. Your theories and breakdowns are some of the best out there; it's what makes being part of the From fandom fun!❤

The landmarks around town do seem to link from various timelines, and so this theory makes sense. One thing we miss is that Victor staying alive through the previous purge caused the cycle to not refresh. The two powers, good and evil, that are playing this game with the living people, with children representing the good power, and adults representing the evil power, and how each try to manipulate the humans that are trapped there. The cycle should have ended with the slaughter, but because Victor stayed alive, it didn't reset, and the game continued, adding new players, new pawns, to the game. That's why no new buildings appeared for the next round of the game, Victor broke the cycle. I also think items hold memories, link people with their previous players. Victor and the monsters both collect these because they know they are key, and that they can help unlock the memories of those who were there before, and help the current batch of players. Victor doesn't want to remember, but for them to escape, to win the game, they need to remember. One thing missing is the reason for the bottles in the trees. In Southern America folklore they would hang colored bottles in trees to capture evil spirits at night that would get trapped in the bottles and die when the sunrise light hit them. Could the bottles in the trees be taking from this lore, and perhaps putting the dates in the bottles is trying to kill the evil of those cycles? I think we see folklore from various times at play throughout the show, from runes to totems to bottles in trees. They all are about warding off evil spirits.

I completely understood everything you were saying with np, if people had trouble then they must not be on our level of intelligence lol. But on another note I think your correct about the first bottle tree numbers being years, but I think I know what the numbers are on the other bottle tree, they are music notes, specifically noise frequencies. Have you ever herd about the explanation about the Pyramids being not physically moved block by block to move the giant rocks that they used to build the Pyramids with, but they were elevated in air and made weight a non factor through gravity by a certain frequency being played, and that's how they were able to move and make such amazingly huge creations like Pyramids. So I think some how you have to use both the trees to time travel and you have to put the year you wanna go to on the first bottle tree and the sound frequency needed to make the whole thing work with the second bottle tree, that explains why Victors mom Eloise used to play the Violin for Victor all the time and why Victor wanted Jade to play the Violin for him in season 2 exactly like his mom used too for him

Awesome theory! The talismans do look like Viking runes. 1931 might be Martin - he was a marine, could be just before WW2; 1752 might be for the guy Jade saw drinking from the skull; 1883 might pertain to colony house, which is Victorian era; and the 1600s date is the light house & Tabitha remembering her childhood dream which looks to be from the same period (?) But I do think the town runs in cycles of 47 years - the last one (current cycle) starting in 1978 with the massacre - the next massacre to occur next year. I think the numbers in the bottles are co-ordinates and you need one on you to go to the right place, eg: Tabitha had 1597 to go to Henry's house; Boyd had the 1864 one on him when he ended up in the well, which looked to be in a Civil War era structure; Dale ended up in the pool wall because he did not have a code on him. Yes, Julie, Sarah & Victor have been through the trees, but I feel they are characters with a purposeful connection to events. I don't think Tabitha is reincarnation of Miranda, nor Jade the reincarnation of Christopher. I don't think this about reincarnation - I believe the people who are having visions/hearing voices, are psychic, being there are different levels of psychic ability - some just hear, some see visions, some can see/hear the dead, and some can even have their bodies possessed. So Sarah, Julie, Randall, Elgin, and Jade I believe are psychic and one of them is the chosen one - likely Jade. They others have parts to play. Victor is just experiencing memories. The two cars that arrived when Victor was a boy has not been explained yet - we are assuming Christopher was one of those cars but that might not actually be the case. Obviously, the other car was not Miranda, as she and her kids were already there. It is mentioned that the massacre happened because of the people in the two cars - that does not mean they did it - they may have just been the catalysts. What happened to Christopher?

Yggdrasil also connects 9 worlds. There are 9 numbers on lighthouse wall. Odin also sacrifices his eye to the wellspring. I think Jade will sacrifice his eye for knowledge like Odin The wellspring is located beneath one of three roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, a root that passes into the Jötunheimr where the primordial plane of Ginnungagap once existed. In addition, the Prose Edda relates that the water of the wellspring contains much wisdom, and that Odin sacrificed one of his eyes to the wellspring in exchange for a drink.

1506 • Exploration and Unknown Worlds: Early European exploration parallels the characters’ discovery of the mysterious town. Much like explorers encountering unknown lands, residents of From face the unsettling unknown without understanding how they got there. • Death of Christopher Columbus: His death marks the end of an era of discovery, hinting at the loss of hope and closure for those trapped in From. 1609 • Henry Hudson’s Journey: Hudson explored new territories, including the river that bears his name, often sailing into the unknown. This mirrors how From’s characters navigate the uncharted mystery of the town and its dark forces. • Jamestown Settlement: The struggle for survival in harsh, isolated conditions aligns with the residents’ experience in the show. Themes of community, adaptation, and resourcefulness echo the challenges faced by early settlers. 1752 • Calendar Shift: The adoption of the Gregorian calendar by the British colonies involved a literal adjustment of time, symbolizing the manipulation or distortion of time-a key concept in From. The way time works in the town is unclear, as characters don’t age and events seem cyclical. • Pre-Revolutionary Tensions: This year reflects an era of unrest, foreshadowing rebellion. In From, characters rebel against the oppressive forces of the town, seeking freedom from their entrapment. 1864 • American Civil War: The war was a period of intense division, chaos, and bloodshed, resonating with the internal conflicts and the desperate fight for survival in From. The town’s residents are often forced into allegiances and confrontations with one another. • Thirteenth Amendment: The fight to end slavery is symbolic of breaking free from oppressive systems. In From, the characters’ ongoing battle represents a quest for liberation from the supernatural forces enslaving them. 1931 • Great Depression: The hopelessness and despair of the Depression mirror the emotional and psychological toll on the town’s residents. The shared struggles of a community during hard times are a central theme in both contexts. • Hoover Dam Construction: A monumental feat of human engineering that reshaped landscapes could symbolize the characters’ attempts to reshape their fate or their environment to survive. 1978 • Jonestown Massacre: This tragic event parallels the themes of manipulation, coercion, and loss of autonomy. Just as Jim Jones controlled his followers, the town in From exerts control over its inhabitants, preventing escape and fostering fear. • Love Canal Disaster: Environmental disaster and contamination serve as a metaphor for the corruption and pervasiveness of evil in the town, as the supernatural forces seem to seep into every aspect of life. 1883 • Krakatoa Eruption: The catastrophic eruption and its global consequences reflect the destructive, far-reaching nature of the forces in From. • Brooklyn Bridge Opens: A symbol of connection and progress, it contrasts sharply with the isolation and stagnation experienced by the town’s residents. . Thomas Edison also installed the first electric lighting system. Which we have seen electricity be a theme throughout the show. 1672- The third Anglo - Dutch War. Best analysis out there! Such an amazing theory. One thing that bothers me about current theories is a dichotomy of Good and Evil/Yin and Yang. Especially concerning the Boy in White and Man in Yellow. If time, like your theory suggests, plays a pivotal role, then I'd say its more like they arent good or evil, but forces of nature. They manipulate, but neither seems to be all good or all evil. The Boy could represent the past, the trauma of the innocents, magic, imagination, faith and hope. Perhaps he is the manifestation of the sacrificed children's hope. The Man could represent adulthood, the future, technology, calculated logic, harshness of reality. Of course this is less a theory and just an overview of perceived themes. But I do think these two forces divide and manipulate the characters' choices throughout the seasons so far. If more characters than Jade and Tabitha are reincarnations, then perhaps the cycles repeat themselves but in different ways. That's if they have anything to do with each other at all. If it really is the landmarks, then perhaps the Man has specific boundaries in which he can operate? The Boy was in Camden, so not sure the extent of his power/boundaries. I dont think the Man is ancient in any way. I do think the Boy in white is though, but I think they have more to do with the locations. They might have to flee the town and live in the woods. Who knows. I have mo evidence just speculation. Love the vids! Your analysis and style are so spot on!

I think the town and buildings somehow got trapped in this dimension just like the people. In the current town it appears all things that identify a building have been removed like the "Star Magic" sign above the motel (seen in the flashbacks). Also it's hard to make about what the school was named (current clinic) as if it's been obscured. On some of the mailboxes it appears they used to have addresses that have since been scratched off. I always thought that the original town was from the 50's just like the creatures. Just a thought.

The lighthouse has similar architecture of what New England would have in 1883. I also notice that 1883 is written differently than the other numbers. The script being Fraktur.

Canada is in America, North America. So is Mexico. The United States is also in North America. Calling Canada 'America ' is accurate and correct lol

According to the IMDb page the Man in Yellow appears in episode 10. Maybe he’s the one walking around and is a different kind of Monster where those Sculptures in that Village were erected to protect from? I haven’t read any spoilers so I’m just guessing. I just know he has to be an important part of this FRoM town in some way. I’m just thinking he’s not a good guy? I also think he’s the one talking on the phone and Radio as the big bad guy you referred to in the 1978 cycle?
@levinia3332 ай бұрын
when you were explaining the talismans and them being runes for protection .. it literally looks like protection rune and they drew people attached to it, so maybe protection of the people which is why it keeps the monsters out?? this is so interesting! thanks for doing all of this!

Finally(tbh U been on it) a theory actually based on details in the show that ppl should actually be paying attn to instead of who's the mole & "who's turning into a creature, & who's such n such that ends up being such & such when the show hasn't made reference to any of these things. I've always 🤔 1978 timelne & the the other dated structures in the show. Love this theory

In regards to the dates: Britain 1752 the country skipped ahead 11 days when it changed from the Julian Calender to the Gregorian Calander in alignment with the rest of Europe. Essentially time travel ?

I think Tabitha wrote/scratched those numbers on the lighthouse steps different times she went through, the hand writing looks very similar if you look closely

I think those numbers are not necessarily dates. There is more to those numbers in the faraway tree bottles. I do believe the Anghkooey kids put that tree in the road to be "rescued" but there is much more to that story and those that sacrificed them. Children are important in FROM, both the ones there and the ones that are brought there. Did you notice all the children wear white? The Anghkooey kids, dirty white, the BIW, totally pristine white, and Tabitha's dream girl, the skirt she is wearing is dirty but white. is there something symbolic with that? Anyway, love your analysis and breakdowns, keep 'em coming!
@TheFacelessGirlYT2 ай бұрын
They are most likely dates. The numbers in the faraway tree are something completely else though I agree. And I believe it relates to 1864 which is why it’s the only date in the bottle tree.

1752 - the year we moved to Gregorian Calender, resulting in a loss of 11 days of time. 1752- Liberty Bell 🔔 Also, many of these years are LEAP years...

1931 was the date of one of the worst cicada swarms (ok technically grasshoppers) in history. There were so many that it literally blocked out the sun, plunging areas into darkness (would be interesting if this happened in the show since maybe the monsters could come out if bugs plunged Fromville into darkness). This date/event appears to be linked to the cicada dungeon and probably Martin, who I believe might be the man in yellow and who we'll hopefully see in the S3 finale. So we have a landmark (the dungeon) and a monster (the cicada monster and possibly Martin, who might be one and the same) potentially attached to that date. Victor's mom's car was apparently a 1980 model (found this from a reddit post), which means 1979 is probably the earliest they could have arrived given that car models are usually named according to the year after they're released. We could cut the writers some slack here by stretching the logic a bit and just say that they arrived in 1978 if we need to. And we know the buildings in the town existed before Victor arrived because he said that he and his sister played in those houses and mentioned the church existing as well. I agree that Colony house definitely has colonial architecture (hell, it's right there in the name colony house), but it has always seemed strange to me that it has electricity like the more modern buildings. Since new buildings presumably appear in Fromville at the beginning/end of each cycle, I think we'll see at least one or two new buildings pop up in the finale (particularly since the Matthews house collapsed and everything in Fromville gets replaced). If the boy in white isn't lying (which I'm not completely convinced of since "everyone lies here"), then the only way to "save the children" would have to be to go back in time to when they were sacrificed, and time travel appears to be a thing now. The lighthouse in From looks very similar to the first one that was built in America (1716 in Boston Harbor... very close to the 1711 date in the lighthouse in Tabitha's vision). I believe that Miranda made some kind of deal with the entity to protect Victor. There has to be some explanation for the fact that he has lived literal decades longer than anyone else ever has in this cycle of Fromville, and the monsters being ordered to leave him be seems like the most likely one. It may also be that as part of the deal, she had some kind of involvement (even indirectly) in the massacre, possibly becoming a monster herself. Spoiler from s03e09 at the end of the comment for some supporting evidence of this (I put it at the end in case people haven't seen the latest episode yet). Regardless, it certainly seems like everything in From was created out of the imagination of the initial sacrificed kids based on whatever story they were told (probably involving Odin, Ygdrassil, etc.), and Fromville incorporates other stories/dreams/fears/etc. from the various people trapped there over the years. The Crominocal story is going to be integral to whatever is coming. I love your analyses! They are very well researched and well thought out. Thanks for avoiding whatever spoilers are out there from unaired episodes, as the most fun thing about this show is theorizing, and I don't want to know for sure what happens next since that would rob me of that fun. Spoiler from s03e09: Note that when Smiley grabs Miranda, we don't actually see her die, and if I've ever learned anything from watching too much tv and movies, no one is dead until you see a body, and even then... double tap. I think we'll find out in the finale that she survived and discover whatever deal she made to keep victor safe.

Another thing that might help date the lighthouse is the type of light shown as operating in the lighthouse, as they changed over time.
@Cecelovesbirdie2 ай бұрын
The lighthouse was drawn in the mountains and by the sea. Camden maine is 1 of 2 places in that area where the mountains meet the sea. Not sure if that could help with dates. Also the new cop that came is named Acosta which originally used to describe people who lived near or came from coastal areas or lived in the mountains. I think there might be a connection between her and the lighthouse.

Love your analysis. Seriously the best I've watched. Im not really into comparisons to LOST (i was a big lost fan) BUT the lighthouse has always stood out to me as a really odd similarity between the two. In lost was built to bring people to the island. Their specific coordinates were represented by numbers. I think it is entirely plausable that in this series that the lighthouse is drawing places and people to Fromville (essentially an island the imhabitants cant escape) The result is a number (year). So not the same concept as lost but similar elements in a different order but also supports your argument.

Maybe the lighthouse was the guide for the initial settlers. They saw the light and sailed to this very spot! It 'called' them.
