I did not expect to relate to Garnt so strongly. Specially when for every thought I had, he'd say it 2 secs later. Like how my Mum used to throw away my old, falling-apart, clothes when I wasn't home, too.

Ooof I feel like a mix of all 3. I rarely buy clothes because I can hardly find nice stuff that fits, but sometimes I find stuff that will last me YEARS! Or I find something nice that's on sale. I like to keep nice clothes but rarely have a chance to wear them. I'm the worse with jackets and t-shirts, i have a lot of them that i don't wear or wear the same one for months. I only throw the clothes away if there are truly f'ed up. then again, I've repaired some of my clothes and jackets to make them last longer. XD

I really like clothes, but I’m to lazy to buy clothes most of the time. And I purged my closet after highschool. So I actually don’t have all that many clothes rn (junior in college). However some of my clothes are literally things I got in middle school because my style hasn’t really changed that much and the quality is pretty good. Even before the purge I pretty much wore 80% of my clothes regularly because I hated doing laundry so I’d pretty much go through my entire wardrobe of clothes until I’m forced to do laundry.

I don't really have any problems throwing old clothes away, the problem is that I can't be bothered to most of the time. I've got 10-15 year old clothes (still in good condition) that I just don't really get around to wearing, some of them are too small as well.

I just wear clothes for really long time. I don't really throw them away. I buy very rarely aswell. And when clothes become unwearable there's this service that shreds those clothes and then make pillows out of them.

Belt talk: so many belts are absolute shit even the expensive ones. They are basically cardboard wrapped in a thin layer of leather. Garnt's belt you can see is a 4mm thick slab of leather. That's the true top tier belt! A belt like Garnt's will last for decades.

I had the same problem as Connor with belts until I swapped to the proper leather ones you can get from places that just specialise in leather products (not that kind Filth brain), basically the sort you'd typically use with interchangeable buckles (but don't always have to). These things will literally outlast you providing you treat them every now and then to stop cracking, they are a little more than what you'd pay somewhere like Primark but even made in places like the UK or USA they're cheaper than designer stuff and a lot lot tougher.

I encourage you guys to look up the number of times you can wear every clothing item so ya’ll can save on wearing them down via washing. Also, if you can, please buy from charity shops/thrift shops, they have a gold mine of clothes and helps avoid contributing to fast fashion

Lol its ok Garnt... The goal is to not have to replace clothes often - just make sure you get rid of all the stuff with holes and that's wearing out. I, too, have a metric f**kton of clothes I've been hoarding since my teen years (35 this month) :'D

And no its not normal to buy new clothes every month unless you're both rich and a clothes-ho who only wears things once. :x I'm firmly of the belief that fast fashion and quick wardrobe turnovers are bad all around... If I had the skill, I'd probably make a good 40-60% of the clothes in my wardrobe.
