@@AUGHHHHHBBG It was the whole ILLIT manager incident, Hanni tried to greet ILLIT, but somewhere across the line, their manager told them to disregard her. The situation itself isn’t as serious as what action were taken later on. Hanni (or her parents) reported the incident to ADOR and the company notified BELIFT and gave them access to security footage. By the time any action could be taken, the footage was deleted/erased/missing and the suspect manager had left BELIFT. Then BELIFT said Hanni needed to apologize for bringing the situation. It was just unprofessional. The action taken in any other scenario would be just as bad. Imagine a detective giving a notified suspect the only evidence that incriminates them and then lets them escape the country.

Since you mentioned hanni accusations I’ll mention belift and ador accusations: They claim the timing of this was before the new ceo, which puts hanni in a pickle cus even if this did happen it can look like she is playing with the timeline to villainize the ceo The second thing is belift claimed to start an investigation. They got a written report which them and ador questioned people in this situation in their label. They checked CCTV to see if they even crossed paths when hanni reported. Outside of that they couldn’t do anything because it was he said she said… Now I wanna make a good point about the CCTV footage btw: SK have a law that deletes footage after 30 days. That’s not deleting evidence and if it was so important hanni or her parents could’ve collected it beforehand. They didn’t. It also hardly serves anything cus it lacks audio. It’s just shows they crossed paths and it’s better we do not have it because whatever illit member is in that video and the manager with gets dozens of hate.

I think NewJeans has always had a lot of haters. They are the most popular group of the 4th and 5th gen by a lot and they are also women. When you look at sales and streams, they always top the charts. The thing is these haters have never had the opportunity to come out until May. When the Le Sserafim hate train began, it was because of their performances. The Illit hate train was kickstarted a year before they debuted because of R U Next. NewJeans, on the other hand, has never had any bad performances or controversies. It was so hard to find something to hate them for they had to bring up a noodle soup dish just to try to tarnish NewJeans's reputation. After the events in May, these haters saw an opportunity to antagonise them. What is interesting is Min Hee Jin's conference on KZbin has many positive comments yet she received hate on other social media platforms. This is because people purposefully twisted her words. At one point, netizens claimed she had said BTS had copied her work when such a quote was made by Hybe, as there is no proof of it actually coming out of her mouth. All the hate towards NewJeans and Min Hee Jin is based on claims with no evidence whatsoever. I will say I do think a part of it is misoginy, mostly by other women. It's frustrating because when you look at these people's Twitter profiles, there is always a male idol with she/her pronouns in their bio. It's women hating other women because they are more successful than them and actually get attention from their idols. If it was a boy group that went through this, there would be significantly less hate and we all know it. What I will say though is that NewJeans hasn't really lost any popularity. The haters have always been there and they have now found a way to come out. People who supported NewJeans before still support them. Not to mention that Belift Lab spent months releasing songs and content for Illit to get to where it is now only for jeanzforfree to get more followers in a week without Hybe's help. It's clear that, no matter how much Hybe tries to downplay their popularity, NewJeans still have a long career ahead of them

I believe that most porcents of tokkis understand that the Labels are to blame here, especially after the leaked documents, and that Hybe has preferential treatment for some of its groups even to the point of wanting to alienate others, not to mention the comments made and emphasized about groups from other companies. Tokkis have, even throughout this drama, supported and praised NJ's interactions with other groups, with LSF being one of the most supported at the beginning, the friendship of Hanni and Yunjin, Eunchae being considered the sixth member within the fandom, even Eunchae being clear in wanting to be closer to Haerin for being the 06 line and so on. Even now I barely listen to other songs from other groups but I've still gotten to know sm abt the dark side of this industry. Ik such industries are filled with harsh treatments worldwide but kpop is even worse. The standards are insanely high, toxicity is in every corner and you get hate for things that don't even make sense. It's not easy to stop yourself from becoming toxic once you get into this industry. I was a normal fan of hollywood artists and even a normal nj fan until all this drama began. I realised I started talking like those toxic haters/fans in the comments at one point after seeing the hate nj recieved. Luckily now I realised it so I stop myself from doing it. Fact is that make sure that you watch everything about Kpop and also watch and read other people who not only put out one side of the story. Kpop is that kind of fallacy where many fall into a trap - I will give you one example do you know that training one Kpop trainee costs 120M won? Start from there. Do you know that CEOs have to gravel and bend over to ask an investor to work with them to support one group? There is a lot more than that. I only wish this had happened during their last year with ADor, then it wouldn't be so much of a mess. It is messy and young people shouldn't have their mental health put into jeopardy by anyone. That said of all the Kpop artists in SK, njs is the one that has enjoyed the least hustles of gaining fame, having to live in very old halls like BTS did sleeping on bunkbeds in one room or even dividing a room with cardboard. Not only that going to the US to be racially abused(concerts were cancelled bse people threatened to kill one of the members), but BTS begging on the streets for people to come to watch their first concert for free. Not only that they also had BTS to be attached to so that they could be accepted.

I prefer to get my information through Korean channels, using the translate function if anything. International K-media has no moderation and anything can spread due to mistranslation. Korean news has often covered NewJeans and the content you see on the Korean side is completely different. Korean channels actually mention stuff like laws and it's way harder to lie because it's easier for K-netizens to fact check Korean stuff themselves. International channels make watered down videos and spread information with no sources. I remember Illit's planning proposals being released in November, I could only find detailed explanations of them and their similarities in Korean, particularly on News Naver. English content is never gonna show the full picture because those channels purposefully filter what they don't want to show

I have been out of touch with the whole issue for months now but I notice the intense nastiness from people towards these girls and their justification is generally based in paranoid reasons or as a response to fanwars. Another thing: While misogyny is a factor, I think BTS fans are extremely insecure about BTS's success and legacy. New Jeans, a group from the same parents label as them, became extremely popular right when BTS enlisted. Add to that they now see Min Heejin and New Jeans' actions as a betrayal towards BTS because the entire issue created a lot of company related uncertainties and divided public opinion before they come back. At the end of the day, ADOR would have to be the ones to commit the acts against njs, Not Hybe, Not Belift, Not Source, but Ador. At mhj first injunction she got the court to rule that hybe is a separate entity from the companies they own, therefore, if ador ain’t do it, it doesn’t matter. And idk what njs or you delusional ass bunnies think ador is supposed to do but all they can do is ask other companies/ employees from those companies to apologize or take post down, this is not a bully on the playground, they cannot force people, especially outside the ador, to comply😂 be mad womp womp but mhj and njs and their parents have yet to show any proof of any type of grievance while ador & hybe have been producing evidence and a coherent story. Fact is when you genuinely listen to njs and mhj side, literally nothing makes sense, their whole side sounds sketchy Complains about living in a dorm with roaches BEFORE Hybe acquires Source. Has any member from BTS left their company? Hybe might not be that good, however, have you ever seen them seek to leave. And I would like them to go somewhere else but they haven't. So do not say that the the creative community supports them. Even the Blkpk girls who said they love them haven't left YG. Yet YG bulldozed GD and if you are so into YG fandom you will hear what they talk about the company. Even if any of these people actually supported them - do you think young girls who have just started their careers should be put in a stressful situation that was started by a CEO who has been in business for over 18 years. Who also confesses that I only joined Hybe to get to the top? Njs can seek to be fully self-employed however, do not even think that m8j will take care of them. Because at the end of it all it is about the money. And if for some reason they can't make it they can be sidelined. It is the entertainment industry not the 9-5 jobs. Those young girls are having stressful nights however much they can smile on camera. No one who loves you can advise you to be in a position that can lead you into a huge debt. Ofc with a miracle they can win the case, however, the toll is too much for them. These are the times they should be enjoying their music and lives however, they have this cloud over them. And I hope that one day it goes away. Many of you are just looking at it on the point of getting one leg over hybe however, it is not just that. All companies have one thing on their minds - and it is money. People who don't want money are sat at home. So even Mj choosing to work for hybe and then deciding to seek ways of taking njs is about money.
