My tip is have a strategy: Invest the item your constantly replacing. So for me it was white trainers and hoodies. So what I did instead of high street hoodies that loose their shape or don’t keep me warm and high street fashion trainers that wear really easily. I invested in those first, because i knew I’d wear them. Note, I am aware sport brands make good quality version of these items but I’m talking more about a more “fashion” versions that don’t look sporty. Also I did the same thing with jumpers I wear for a smarter look or in winter; instead of crappy poly-random mix, I saved for high quality jumpers or bought them in spring sales for the next year. I’d suggest don’t just focus on the “golden” brands, except for maybe key items like a bag or pair of shoes. High Designer RTW unless it’s super classic is very risky, you might saved up for a top or pants only for it go out of style or it’s “too good” to ever wear. There is so many high quality designer brands at a cheaper price range like Isabel Marant, Paul Smith, APC, Vivian Westwood, Etro, Ganni. I love Cassie channel because she does bring us around to new brands or designer brands that are not like Dior RTW money. Finally, don’t be afraid of the usual local mall suspects like Tommy and Ralph. They actually do very good quality boots etc. If you want a simple but high quality leather item or cashmere jumper, thats EU made and you won’t need to replace, look at less popular / logomania lines of popular brands. Some of their lines targeted to older / more formal people actually can carry really well made stuff that simple and can add a layer to your outfit. So imagine a nice simple HQ luxurious jumper that you can wear with those £500 shoes you saved for. It’s better than wearing a poorly made £20 jumper. It means your shoes or whatever can do the talking but the look isn’t interrupted with a poorly made top.

Never say never to the Toiletry Pouch 26. I used to wonder why people spend their money on pouches and not save up for a bag. I was curious about it so 3 years ago when I went to Paris, I searched for it. I couldn’t find it and then about a month ago, I found it at a local LV boutique! I was impressed! I thought it would be awkwardly big on me but it was a good size for my petite frame. I love it as a clutch! I made a video with 8 ways of wearing this pouch. The best thing about it, it fits my sunglasses with the LV case! I’m really happy I got this pouch! I know it’s not for everyone but if you’re lucky to see it in person, I’m pretty sure you’ll change your mind. The price is great for its versatility😊

So many rubber slides are made in the same factory in Italy. I used to work with designer shoes and when we flipped up over the Valentino ones they had a Valentino style, textured camo print underneath. When you flipped the Boss ones (which were less then half the price) they had the exact same print underneath…

I think a lot of this comes down to patience. Many of the items you list are at lower price points, and what I believe people typically go for those items because they feel like they can afford or can’t justify the money for a bag, shoes, etc. You just end spending more money that way because those items never scratch the itch.

I agree 100% with the, "let's add a chain to this ugly LV pouch and call it a bag" situation. No, stop, people know exactly what you're doing and it's a bit embarrasing. Besides, that pouch looks like an awkward rectangle hitting the hip. I think the small leather goods and designer belts are worth it only if those are the items we indeed want, not if we get them just for the brand or to own a luxury item as soon as possible. That said, I notice I feel so confident when I wear my luxury items. I try not to, because it's odd, but I notice a shift in my attitude and the way I feel about myself. IDK what it is exactly, but there's something about that bag, belt, sunglasses that just makes me see myself differently, better.

Going back to the video though, you meant to tell me that me wheeling myself down the street wearing sunnies, (we will have to skip the belt unless we get 2 and thread them together!), a scarf that I wouldn't normally wear, with a Chanel brooch I wouldn't normally wear, with a key holder in a sponge bag wearing rubber slides that I have spent my money badly? I am so glad that you did!! I am still saving for that first bag, a Fendi one was nearly mine but it just wasn't to be so I continue to save and not purchase weird stuff!

Loved this! Especially converting the pouches... I think it does look cute on some and I’ve almost but a kit... but then I realized I had bags lol - so my toiletry stays where it should... in the bathroom lol! But I see how pple starting would think it’s cute - but so many other options... you can get a Prada nylon bag for same price(practically hehe) I love the slides but I didn’t start getting them till I had - bags, belts, make up bags, sneakers etc etc I wanted first - now I love a good simple slide but it was years before I bought them for the exact reason you said lol I loved this “anti starter collection” type video rather than the usual one we see on YT:) Have a great week 💗🤍

I truly believe it’s learning to mix high end and low end. Go high end luxury for the classics that you’ll wear forever or the standout statement pieces and then fill in the look with lower end. If you do it right, the entire look ends up looking fabulous and luxurious without shelling out tons of money for the pieces that are less important or will need to be replaced often (ie. white t-shirt. I’ll never spend a lot of money on a white t-shirt unless there’s something special about it that will make it statement piece. White t-shirts just get dingy, stained, pit-stained too easily.)

Agree that you should spend money on things you can use often. If item A costs more money, but you will use it daily vs item B , which is something you’d only use every few months, then id opt for A. Also patience is key. Sometimes that luxury item you want may take many many many months or even years to save for. But its worth it. Id rather have the item i truly want in 2 years, than a bunch of cheaper alternatives in 6 months. Its ok to hold out for what you want to buy.

I’d love the coussin style but in mono, I guess the T26 is the closest to that in style. I do find the tag on the side annoying but I get why it’s become thing, it’s nice a shape and structure without being a classic style.

I would love to see a list of things that you would pay luxury prices for. What I mean, we've all gotten something for a relatively low price or from a brand that isn't considered high end but the quality and design were on point. Something that if it was a luxury item, in hindsight, you would hand over your credit card and get it in every color.

Some items I totally agree with you (slides and costume jewelry) and some I disagree (key holder), but that's not the point of the video. The point is to think about what could be upgraded in your life and to buy those items, and I totally agree with you. I live in California, so I wear sunglasses most days of the year, so I have a few designer pairs. But this means I throw them in my bag a lot too; so the key holder is great for me because then my sunglasses don't get scratched. That's true for me and my life. One thing I don't really buy is winter attire. I have a pair of boots... somewhere... if I need them.

Cassie i agree with most, especially Chanel. I just sold majority of mine costume jewelry. Now about TP vs bags, most not, but a few exceptions i think. If you know what you want and going to wear all the time, then no. but if you are just using for now, its not true love 😝, or crazy situation in the world, and who needs luxury bags 😳 , then some options, are ok. I am so happy that i didnt buy Gucci velvet bag, but got belt bag( because i loved the cobalt blue color ) well i havent worn yet😳 , well at least i can always use the belt . I think YSL puffer pouch looks nice and closer to the bag look than others. I dont think i need another Gucci moment😝 but for someone who just starting, i think its a reasonable option🤔 Blessings🙏💕

Hey Cas well luxury rehab was horrible and i had to escape. I told them its my money my choice and the only thing its hurting is my bank account and at this point its elastic lmaoo.....but so back.
