I was so glad to see the van made it there and back without issue, but so disappointed to see that crime in Portland OR has gotten to the point where you have to boot your van on your own property, and Home Depot locks Romex up! 🤨 Just a thought...could the lack of heat and twitching temp gauge be caused by a low coolant condition or an air bubble in the cooling system? I owned a Honda cb360T while I attended Portland State University. I drove it all year round. Winter I dropped 1 tooth off the front sprocket so I could travel very slow so i did have to put my foot down at traffic lights. Just moved at slow speed. Then spring til fall larger sprocket and traveled all over Oregon to BC. What a time.

it's not a copy of the suzuki carry but a joint venture. this is the Changhe-Suzuki Changlingwang minivan. it is basically a suzuki carry for the chinese market with a bigger engine (800cc and 1 liter).

Seems noticeable that you’re having to lock stuff up more there, it’s really sad 😢 that little van was popular here as the the Bedford Rascal which was basically a rebadged Suzuki Carry. Great video

If I am not wrong, I assume this is an eighth generation Suzuki Carry based van, quite popular un Latin America when I was a kid. It has a bullet proof easy-to-mantain 800 cc engine made by Aisin (Toyota).

it is a 4cyl. 797cc engine , but valve cover says, Dongan , I thought Chinese? I hope its Toyota !

@@2stroketurboTo be honest, I suppose this van is a licensed one from Suzuki (or even copied). The vans imported to Chile in the early 80's had this engine made by Aisin. If this is a chinese one, I don't think it could have a japanese original, nevertheless, the design of that engine is a marvel, and that makes irrelevant where the engine was build.

@@2stroketurbo the Chinese bought a lot of older car and truck designs or got them under license. Being a British car fanatic I can tell you that the Morris Marina was built under license in China with a Chinese name. The Chinese also bought the complete factory and designs for Diamond Reo trucks. Who knows what other deals they made.

It is about half what I normally pay, then again my car does better than 24 km/l - 55 miles/gallon.
