Is it possible to make decent money selling my vintage things as a vintage yard sale? I just do not want to do the online sales. And I have so many things that belonged to my Mother. I just don’t know if it’s possible because most people are looking to buy for resell. Maybe if I hang onto it long enough, I don’t know? I was going to get a booth at the one of the bigger Flea Markets here, but I really would love to just start selling these things from home. Do you think that’s an option that I should check into? @@melissa-lf7ht typically in my experience you will get quite a bit less seller at a garage sale versus selling online. Smaller market versus a national and potentially international market selling online. A flea market booth may get a bit more depending on the size of crowd it attracts. Good luck!

@@melissa-lf7ht Just make sure you spend a bit of time doing RESEARCH on the value of what you have before you put it up for sale. You may be surprised by something really valuable. Your mother likely would have wanted the profit from the items you inherited should go into your pocket, not someone else's.

We had our own garage sale yesterday and it was similar to this. We had our garage door closed and had to open it to put stuff out but once we opened the door, half an hour before the sale was supposed to start, people started moving into the garage but we had to tell them to wait a couple of minutes so we could get everything set up outside of the garage. We were one of only two garage sales in our town so it was busy from 7:30 to 11:00, when we finally had no customers, then about ten minutes later, they started showing up again. Finally slowed down about 11:45, and we were able to close at noon, our scheduled closing time. It was very busy and tiring, but we did very well.
