Grew up playing in the 80s, huge fan of Dr.J, Bird, Magic, Dominique, Iceman, MJ, too many else to mention. Been coaching 36 years and have a better appreciation of the game now more than ever. What this Lebron kid has done in the last 10 years is nothing short of unbelievable. He's like a combo of Magic on steroids, athleticism like Dominique, and is like a swiss army knife like Michael Cooper but 80lbs more of muscle. Need a block, a rebound, a timely 3 pointer, or an assist, Lebron Cooper will get it done. I think Len Bias is in Lebron's body. 80s-90s ball was awesome but never seen anyone like this kid. What's more remarkable is how he's kept his body and mental game at a high level. Anyone who's played a ton, knows how tired and banged up your body gets and how your motivation subsides, going on year 18 at his level is insane discipline. Keep doing you kid, you've done basketball a great service! 80s basketball still the best!!!

Another important point to bring out in your comment is that "Lebron is playing chess." This is what irks me when people compare people like KD to Lebron. KD is no idiot, but Lebron isn't just a scorer or a big man or a "piece" you put on the board. He is the chessmaster out there. I know people already give him credit for his basketball IQ but its more than just passing. This dude seems to think about the game cerebrally. So having a great scorer isn't the same as having Lebron. KD is an unstoppable scorer, Lebron is the coach-player. That is why ALL his teams have gone to finals, its not just putting any rando all star player next to him... and even if you do he'll find a way to make it work. There is so much more depth to being a basketball genius than just a good athlete who shoots well/dribbles or has basketball mechanics down.

I LOVED watching Skip Bayless, Jalen Rose, & others backtrack after the Clippers lost. SO many excuses were made. These same people even said that Doc Rivers' job was secure; WRONG again! The Lakers has a great chance of winning it next season, one thing that gets underestimated by the Lakers is that coaching, for them to go in and make adjustments after every game, even after wins is what separates them from everybody else. That's the reason most teams lost, the coaches don't know how to make proper adjustments after every game, only time they made an adjustment is after losses and those adjustments were very small, it was more like giving a bench player that never played minutes.

Going into the playoffs, I was confident about the Lakers' chances because of their defense. Too bad Bradley wasn't there but the guard rotation of KCP, Green and Caruso will bleed any team for points. Ask the Heat which team closed them down on their perimeter game more than any other team. Lakers can win but they need to improve their backcourt. They should focus on Bogdanovic from Sacramento Kings. He is not expensive player and can provide them with necessary 3pt shooting. He can also create hiw own shot and has solid off ball movement. He is not great defender but I think Lakers already have good enough defense. Or maybe even trade Kuzma and 2-3 1st round picks for some more prominent 3rd option.

LeBron is an Amazing player and better person. I don't know why so many people hate him. He gives back to his community. He doesn't get in trouble with the law. He doesn't cheat the game and gives it everything he has every year. He has played at a high level for 18 years in the league. He is a family man and great father. Most people don't remember this but Jeff van gumby is still butthurt after when Lebron was asked after the draft if he wanted jeff van gundy to be his coach in Cleveland, lebron said his choice would be larry brown all this aired on espn with van gundy in the studio listening to lebron james campaigning for larry brown. You could literally see the feeling of pain and rejection on van gundy's face.
