One of the most talked about accomplishments of LeBron's entire career is that he went to EIGHT consecutive NBA finals. But how impressive of a feat was that actually when evaluating the competition he faced during the runs?

The Heat were literally called a Super Team TM for a reason and were expected to WIN. Lebron is famous for bragging, "not 1, not 2..." and then immediately loses to a team that Wade had already beaten in the finals. It's one of the most laughable things in human history and I'm astonished that people defend this bs.

I saw something in another video that puts things into perspective when people say LeBron James faced tougher competition in the NBA finals than Michael Jordan faced. True, MJ never had to face an NBA champion juggernaut team like the mid-2010s Warriors (whom LBJ managed to beat only ONCE in 4 finals). But that's because MJ's Bulls WERE the NBA champion juggernaut team that kept all the other teams from winning rings. So the video asked this question: Which is more impressive - LBJ beating the juggernaut team of his era ONCE in FOUR finals; or MJ's team BEING the juggernaut team of his era which won SIX of SIX NBA finals? Because MJ's Bulls did something the mid-2010s Warriors were unable to do - 3-peat. And MJs bulls did this TWICE! So, NO, winning ONE finals and LOSING THREE to the Warriors does NOT make LBJ the GOAT, nor does going 4 of 6 in Finals make the Warriors a better team than the 1990s Bulls teams lead by MJ that 3-peated TWICE. In all 6 Finals he played, MJ was CLEARLY the best player on the court, while in all 6 of LBJs finals losses SOMEONE ELSE was the best player on the court, and in at least one (2011) LBJ wasn't even the best player on his own team. To paraphrase the self-proclaimed "Chosen One": "This right here shows EVERYONE that LBJ is NOT the Goat."

That’s what I’m always saying to those delusional Bron fans. How can other teams build their dynasty if there’s a conquering team that kept dismantling them. And they will make a notion that the Bulls played in a weak era. Well it’s just a logical way to understand that, because they’re not good enough to defeat the conquering team (the Bulls).

@@LeHitler you talk like its not a difference only by decimals yet MJ almost doubled the points. Its so funny has casuals only rely on stats yet don't know how a leader should be. MJ is a shooting guard who prioritizes scoring. He held his teammates to fulfill their roles. Instead of waiting for a defensive rebound he runs on the other end for an easy basket trusting his Big guys get the rebound. Pippen was partly has the role of a PG where he runs the triangle offense as MJ goes on the post, that's where he got most of his assist. If you really wanna see who hustles more check MJ and Lebron's offensive rebounds and steals. lol.. Lebron in his 21 years haven't reached MJ in Offensive boards despite being bigger. Lol.. That's 2 games worth of shots. MJ was a volume shooter. Efficient, but volume nonetheless. 2007 Spurs SWEPT Lebron in 2007 (and Bron Bron had a LOT of help in that series, his TEAMMATES played AMAZING defense and kept every single game close, average margin of victory was ~6 points, but Bron shot below 40% and led all players in TOs, a common theme in his Finals runs that nobody talks about - he's a TURNOVER MACHINE). 2008 Kobe GENTLEMAN SWEEPS THE SAME SPURS TEAM THAT SWEPT LeSteroids (remember, he takes EPO and HGH) 4-1. 2009 Orlando beats LeEPO 4-2, Kobe GENTLEMAN SWEEPS THEM 4-1. 2010 Boston beats LeHGH 4-2, Kobe COMES BACK from a deficit 3-2 and wins BACK TO BACK elimination games to beat Boston 4-3 while OUTREBOUNDING the entire Celtics team in game 7, 15 rebounds, the next closest Celtic had 10. KOBE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than Lebron. In fact, anybody who tells me they have Lebron over Kobe i IMMEDIATELY lose respect for their intellect. It's the greatest IQ test ever: Kobe or Lebron Simple: High IQ people pick Kobe because they understand that WINNING isn't reducible to a box score; low IQ people pick Lebron because they fetishize decontextualized stats that often had no real-time effect on WINNING. When Lebron played in the East the conference was so weak they nicknamed it “The Leastern Conference.” Lebron never had to face the physical teams that Michael Jordan had to beat to reach the Finals. Teams like the Pistons, Pacers, Cavaliers and 50 win teams like the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks. Michael Jordan beat more 60 win teams in the playoffs than Lebron and Kobe combined. During the Bulls championship run between 1991-92-93 and 1996-97-98, Jordan’s Bulls went an astonishing 388-104 during the regular season, that means out of the nearly 500 regular season games the Bulls played they only lost 100 games. What makes that even more amazing, it’s excluding postseason play.

Great video as always, you narrated brilliantly arguments we've put across for so many years. When you tell LeBron stans that the east was historically weak they can't understand just how lop sided it was. I've always maintained that if you stack the deck in your favour you had better win. The greatest indictment on LeBron's career (aside from allowing everybody to feast on championships during his era) is that he manipulated events to put himself in the best position possible to win every single time and still came up woefully short.
@jonnuanez71839 ай бұрын
Any chance you can do a video on his size changes and "longevity"? Take a look at him just before he went to Miami. Then look at how big he got when he was there. Then, somehow, he shrunk when he left. And some have said that he just happened to hit the gene pool lottery, which is some explanation of his decades long career. But we all know better...

I still think the league screwed over Melo in the draft with that random move to Denver instead of Detroit so that LeBron would have an easier path in the Eastern Conference. Melo in Detroit would have made it harder for the league's chosen one to dominate in the East and he would have won a championship his first year in Detroit and they probably would have beaten the Spurs in 2005 (Detroit lost in that 2005 Finals because they lacked offense which was what Melo could have given them). Plus, Melo should have won Rookie of the Year, he had the same numbers as LeBron that season, plus he made the playoffs in the tougher conference while LeBron missed the playoffs in a weaker conference. And LeBron had no business getting swept in the 07 Finals. The Spurs didn't dominate in that series, the games were close, Duncan and Ginobli played average and Parker basically carried the team. LeBron got outplayed by Daniel Gibson off the bench game 1 and then had the most turnovers in the entire Finals. He had help from his teammates but he couldn't close out the games. Mind you, the last 2 games in Cleveland, the Spurs won game 3 by 3 points and game 4 by 1 point. LeBron had no business losing in 2015 when he was up 2-1 without Kyrie and Love and he allowed Iggy to come off the bench and change the series....SMH!!! And 2018 was no excuse either for getting swept. The Cavs could have won game 1 in overtime but LeBron had a meltdown and quit on his team instead of leading his team in overtime for the win and game 3 was winnable because Steph, Klay and Draymond played like garbage with 27 points COMBINED and KD literally had to carry the game for the Warriors. Plus, Love was dominating in the first half and Rodney Hood was playing well but LeBron wanted to play heroball and didn't want to let Rodney shine and stopped feeding Love the ball in the 2nd half. LeBron wanted to get to swept to justify leaving the Cavs AGAIN on the guise that "he had no help" narrative. And the fake cast in the game 4 postgame claiming he hurt his hand to justify ANOTHER FINALS SWEEP yet was doing a 2 handed dunk in game 3 and was dapping his boys with that same hand game 4 was RIDICULOUS...SMH!!!

The league screwed the bulls too not allowing melo to join D rose and butler to prolong LeBron run in the east.

In all honesty all of his finals runs have been underwhelming. It was his Superstar teammates that came in clutch during those finals.
@skap_attack9 ай бұрын
Not a single one of his 10 finals runs were impressive in the least. He played great teams in the finals, sure. Kobe and Duncan had to play those teams 3 times out of 4 opponents every year to just get into the finals. We should celebrate them.

would have never beat the Spurs without Ray Allen coming in clutch. I've been a Heat fan for a long time now and I've never seen a player disappear and look the way Lebron looked in those finals games. Dude goes ghost mode and his face looks like he knows it to.

i need to know when we started giving participation trophies??? going to 10 finals and only winning 4 is beyond a failing number... 20 years in the league on 3 different good/superteams and only winning 4 titles is crazy where jordan played 11 healthy seasons on the bulls and went went to the finals 6 times winning all 6 wit 2 3 peats and being the only allstar on the team.. people need to knock it off... bron gettin swept TWICE in the finals is where the goat convo was done for him... bron not even top 10 in his own era let alone top 10 of all time CTFU... stop it get some help.

Here's some more. Lebron is 3rd in minutes and 10th in games played all time but ranks 176th all time in fouls. Noone else on those top 10 lists ranks lower than 30th in fouls. Lebron has less fouls than Jordan and Isiah despite playing 349 and 500 more games than those players.

Lebron brought all of this down on himself. He entered the league with years of people pumping up his ego already. He feels entitled to...well...everything, AND he has made sure that everyone KNOWS that he is entitled. He looks more and more like a stat guy and not a team guy as time goes on. He has the league in his back pocket and everyone knows it-and he's OK with that. All Time Greats: Don't have to tell you how great they are Don't tell you they are the GOAT Don't have to tell you to respect them Don't team-shop chasing rings DO make the players around them better DO sacrifice for the team DO take the team on their shoulders to win championships when they have to LJ is a good player, but not an All-Time Great.
