Those damn rain grooves! Ha! Ha! The 2 Track tires handle them better than most. Off road, I agree that they are fantastic. I've found them to be slippery on cold wet pavement... better than some & not as good as others... but that's a hard ask for most knobby tires. Overall, it's a great tire at an amazing value.

Just got back in late October from a 6500 mile trip from Asheville NC through the Appalachian mountains to the upper Midwest and back on a T7. 2/3 pavement. 1/3 off road. Love the 2tracks! Very versatile. Hooked up good off road and offered confidence on pavement. One point that most tires suffer from is rain performance. I got my share. Acceptable performance as long as you acknowledge the limits of such an aggressive tire. They really get scary on wet road paint! I have approximately 7000 miles on these and have a respectable amount of tread left. 4 marks to the Tusk 2 track tires! Well done!

Hi Travis, I really appreciated your video; your comfort on the dirt and mild discomfort on the street, especially in corners mirrors my experience. I too noticed disconcerting wandering of the dual venture front; I just ordered a 2-Track to replace it on my 790. Your reasoning about the stiff sidewalls makes good sense to me, as does your suggestion of running 28psi. Thank You, Travis. Subscribed.

Enjoyed your vid. I thought your off-road perspectives were very valuable and you have the skills to back them up. I've been tearing up big knobbles on my 990 for a couple decades. From single track to twisties and slab, they are the only things I run, and they have never been an issue. Big knobs do fine on the road (less wear rate) and In my experienced opinion, if people are breaking DOT knobbles loose unexpectedly on the road, they are riding too fast, or their skills are too low. Period. I just spooned a set of the 2 Tracks on for a trip through Idaho in a couple days. On a hundred-mile break in yesterday, the tires felt good and performed well on loose climbs, small steps and asphalt twisties. No serious trail abuse and I don't have the dirt skills you have, but so far so good. This upcoming trip is a thousand miles or so with a mix of tarmac, twin track and some wide single track. I'll update wear on my return.

Thank for the good words ❤️ Really excited to see what you think of them after you get back from your trip. These were pretty stiff so I felt safe at 18psi where on other tires I felt I needed a higher pressure to fight off flats. Have a rad trip

Just finished Sec 1-3 of the MABDR on my Tuareg this past weekend. It currently has a Motoz Dualventure front and Rallz in the back. I dislike the Dualventure. I ride lightweight 300-450cc dual sports, and I have been satisfied with the Tusk Dsport tires. They perform excellent off road, but the Dsport front tire can be a little bit sketchy on the road... It appears that the 2 Track front tire would feel more planted on the road, but how will it compare to the Dsport off road, on the smaller bikes?
@EverySingleSunday
@EverySingleSunday 11 ай бұрын
On road I think you will definitely see an improvement going with the two Track upfront. I would definitely run a lower pressure on your bike because the carcass on this tire is so much stiffer. As for off-road, it should be pretty good on hard pack, but I don’t see it being great in the sand versus a nobby Moto tire.

Great thorough reviews as always. Going put a set on my T7 tomorrow. I’ve always run the stock Pirelli’s because I do so many road miles to get to the dirt I want to ride. It has always limited what I ride when I hit the dirt which sucks because I am capable of riding much harder and funner terrain. I have no doubt they will be fine on the road even though I carve pretty hard and fast. My biggest concerns is how much they vibrate. Their smoothness so to speak. Obviously they won’t be as smooth as a 50/50. How smooth are they?
@EverySingleSunday
@EverySingleSunday 11 ай бұрын
I haven’t noticed any vibrations or loud noises from them. Obviously take it easy in the turns as they won’t be as good as the Pirelli on your way to the trails but offroad it will change your life. Thanks for the good words 🤙

Is this the same tire as the Waypoint Adventure? The tread pattern looks the same but I haven't heard them referred to as the "2 track." If not the same, do you know what the difference is? I got the Waypoint front and rear in preparation for the CABDR North in late August. With just a little bit of testing in all conditions they seem good (but won't know for sure until I really put them to the test). My only gripe about them so far is they were so sketch on rain grooves I had to bail off the freeway (felt like I was going to devolve into a tank slapper). I'll play with my tire pressures and try again - interesting to hear good feedback about that (if it is the same tire we're talking about here). I found them to be very easy to mount (didn't seem like they were that stiff).
@EverySingleSunday
@EverySingleSunday 5 ай бұрын
They are different tires. The 2 track is made for ADV bikes and the Waypoint is more for 690/klr600 or 500s. The 2 track is stiffer and the rear tire has much bigger blocks to last under more HP and weight I just did some testing with the waypoints on my 500 and will be working on that video in a bit

14-17 will destroy wheels on a bike this heavy. If I was just going to ride single track in loose conditions yes it would definitely help but so would real knobbies and narrower wheels. A ADV tire on a 4.5 or 4” rim these come with works pretty well but definitely not amazing

Thanks for the review. I’ve been curious about and also a bit leery of these things. The price point almost makes them scary. I’m curious if you have ridden the motoz tractionator adventure and if you would call this a direct competitor to it or even the rallz. Also, have you tried the golden tyre gt723r/rh? I’m also on a t7 and on a mission to find that sweetheart tire. The bike is an interesting size and it seems that we have tire options that not all riders have. You can kind of go either direction, from full knobby to full street. I’ve found that the motoz and Pirelli offerings in the tubeless varieties leave a bit to be desired when riding aggressively off road. Especially on steep loose downhill sections and loose gravely roads. They are ok, but definitely a compromise, as these things tend to be. Im just starting to lean into the tube type category to see what those offerings feel like on dirt and the street. I have the golden tyre 723s in the garage, but it’s not time to mount them yet here in Colorado. Thanks, Travis. Have a good one!

Ok. Excellent. Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I’ll give these things a shot one of these days. I’ve been running rallz and Pirelli scorpion rally’s mostly. I don’t care for the motoz adventure/dual venture setup. I agree they are streety. I’m anxious to try the 723s and I’m also wanting to try the scorpion rally tube type as well as the d908. I get the impression that the rally raid style tube type tires are gonna be the sweet spot between adv tires and full on dirt tires. Time will tell. But, for the money, it’s worth checking these tusk tires out for bdr type rides or whatever. Thanks again, brother. Have a great night!

All depends on the route you plan on riding. When I do Baja I am mostly offroad and want a full knobby tire vs a dual sport tire. But I am 90%+ offroad for that trip. Pick you favorite front and then a rear that will last you the trip. I’ve been using the Tusk T45 in the rear as it’s cheap and works good enough down there. I’m assuming these won’t really work on a KTM 500? Been running a tusk dsport on rear and stock up front till it is too worn. Well it’s time to replace both. What tire combo do you recommend? I ride probably 60/40 dirt/street but like you really want the off road to be better as far as tires go. Live in East Texas and ride a lot of black top, gravel, fire roads and trails. Also ride a lot of rocky terrain in southeast Oklahoma. TIA!

Ive riding my Tiger 900 Rally Pro with the Trailmax Missions. Planning on a San Diego down to La Paz and back, in a few weeks. I was thinking hard about the Raids for my next trip after that, but maybe will consider these Tusks too.

No, a small date range of rear tires were recalled. Not all 2 track tires.

Looks like the "comment" function got fixed on your channel. Over the weekend, all of your videos that I was watching, had comments turned off.

They may have to rethink their pricing after the release of these. They are both great fantastic tires.

They have been fantastic compared to most other tires I’ve tried on the big bikes.

The front tire is it as good as a Motoz Dual Venture or the old gone but not forgotten (by me anyway still my fav front) TKC80 ??? im kinda with you on that , i just want a tire that doesnt step out or squirm around on the highway but works as good as possible off road and of course that lasts like a Motoz

My time on the MotoZ stuff is very limited and I do not know it well enough to compare the two in depth I have ridden them, but not to point where I know that tire I’m a huge fan of these and think they are a great tire even if they cost the same amount as some of the other stuff on the market
