Great video Sir!..Just a question from the client perspective, how would you consider the advance payment to contractor and monthly retention in the cashflow? Does the monthly amount needs to be "net amount" considering these things? If yes, then I can imagine that the very first monthly amount and last monthly amount in the cashflow would be equal to advance payment and total retention respectively.

Thank you for the support and watching the video. In my opinion advance payment is made against form of security, which means that this money is secured somehow. However when client prepares himself for payments based on contractor approved cash flow, advance payment shouldn’t be added to the first month, because a portion of it will be recovered in the first month itself. The purpose of advance payment is to enhance the contractor’s internal cash flow. And also advance payment will be recovered throughout the project. Which means that until the last day in the project the contractor will have money in his pocket more than the executed works and that’s why the advance payment security is required.
