TLDR; comment is long, basically I think it would be cool if you all make a slightly detailed timeline with events and when you think it might have happened. So I had an idea about what I would be interested seeing from you in a video/artikel on the archives website. It would probably be a lot of work, but I would be interested in a rough timeline (of what you all think happens about when). For example the drawing of the umbral & amstral era's in your general history video, but add some lines of about here the Allagan empire attacked Eorzea, or about here Dalmasca fell, +/- here Bahamut got imprisoned etc. And then eventually split up in muliple vids or spoiler blurred parts with ARR, Shadow etc. Timeline. Because I remember you saying there are like 9 umbral era's or something and left that is expansion stuff that can be blurred for those that haven't reach that point yet (like me). It prob a lot of work, but sounds cool to me.

I think that is a lovely idea and while yes a lot of work it’s the kind of thing that’s been on my mind as well. Video-wise something like that may be interesting to do post END (which should also fill in a few historical gaps) and update it yearly kind of like what Starwars explained does for the galactic time line. On the website side I’m sure Niniri will love this idea and try to find a way to make some version of it work when/if they have the time. Thanks for the idea and the engagement we really do appreciate the passion and thoughts. -Elioaux

Most likely in Eorzea, it currently is still more expensive to use aether/ceruleum-powered machinery than relying on the fodder-powered chocobo, and the benefits provided by machinery may overall still be considered marginal. In our history, the Industrial Revolution marked our transition from oat-powered civilizations to ones run by steam engines. Coal/coke was readily available and abundant as a main fuel source, while oat farms that primarily fed the horse populations became geared towards human consumption, contributing to our boom in human population. For Garlemald, they likely had to immediately move on to develop ceruleum engines as the harsh environment would not allow them to sustain regular chocobo population such as those in Eorzea, while ceruleum was very abundant.

Great video, and chocobos are way a lot cooler than horses, also its basically a trademark for Final Fantasy so its goood to see they make a good use of this.
