This is a new updated list to suit the re-upload version. 1 - Doom works on most summoned units, but doesn't work on BM's bear since it's classified as a Level 6 creature, and Doom only works on creatures below Level 6. It also doesn't work on Pocket Factory since it's classified as a Building, and lastly you cannot doom mechanical units. 2 - If Doom is cast on a summoned unit whose timer is about to expire, the Doom Guard is summoned regardless. 3 - Doom cannot be cast on units with Resistant Skin, Invulnerable units, and wards. 4 & 5 - Items that summon weak units can be cast with Doom, since those units are generally below Level 5. Items that summon stronger units, however, cannot be cast with Doom, since they are either above Level 5, or have Resistant Skin. 6 - Units raised by Animate Dead (hero ability and item form) are invulnerable, and Doom cannot be cast on them. However, units raised by Resurrection (hero ability and item form) are not invulnerable, and Doom can be cast on them. 7 - Doom works on Spell Immune units and units with Anti-Magic Shield, and you might be wondering why can't you cast it on units with Resistant Skin. Well, it's because Resistant Skin causes all spells to treat the target unit as if it were a Hero, for example Entangling Roots would last a long time on a normal unit, but on both Heroes and units with Resistant Skin, it would only last a few seconds. This also means that Doom cannot target Heroes. 7.1 - Doom can be cast on burrowed units, flying units, and on self-destruct units such as the Goblin Sapper, without causing the latter to explode. 8 - Notes from 1 and 3 apply here, but notice how they were able to cast Doom on the Mountain Giant marked with the color red, it's because that Mountain Giant didn't have the Resistant Skin upgrade researched yet, unlike the Mountain giant marked with the teal color. 9 - Doom cannot target ships, but that's because they're all Mechanical units. 10 - Doom cannot be dispelled. Doom Guard also takes no damage from dispel abilities (because it has Resistant Skin), but notice how the Wisp's Detonate still causes it to lose some mana. 11 & 12 - The debuff from Doom lasts forever, until the unit dies. It is possible to heal the damage dealt by Doom long enough such that Doom will be off cooldown and be cast on another unit again. Units like the Tauren have high HP pools, meaning you can easily delay Doom's damage using Fountain of Health and Healing Ward. 13 - Doom stops channeling spells, prevents auto-cast spells, and prevents toggle spells like Defend from being un-toggled. Doom also silences the target. 13.1 - Doom fully disables passive abilities, provided that they are actually handled by an ability and not by the Upgrade itself. For example, Animal War Training cannot be disabled because the ability does not provide max HP, it's actually handled by the Upgrade itself, and so the ability only exists for visual purposes. However, something like War Drums has an actual ability named War Drums whose stats and damage bonuses are handled by the ability itself (the upgrade only serves to unlock it), so it can be disabled. This logic doesn't apply to Backpack, oddly enough. 14, 15, & 16 - Same as 13 and 13.1, but on orcs, night elves, and undead units, respectively. 17 - Doom prevents workers from gathering and returning resources, as well as repairing and building structures, along with their extra abilities. Side note, if an ability automatically affects workers in an area, such as Garrison or Call to Arms, it will not affect workers with the Doom debuff. 18 - Same as 13.1, but on the Shade, and units with True Sight or Passive Invisibility in general. 19 - Doom doesn't deal Physical damage. 20 - Doom Guard's War Stomp affects mechanical units, as well as Ensnared flying mechanical units. 21 - You can cast Transmute to units with Doom debuff, instantly killing it and instantly summoning the Doom Guard. 22 - Doom doesn't deal Magical damage, as evidenced by the unit with Banish not receiving any extra damage. 23 - Units with Doom debuff cannot be devoured or transported. 24 - If a unit dies while devouring something, the devoured unit will be released. 25 - Doom's damage ignores all reductions, armor bonuses, and magic resistance bonuses. 26 - Staff of Sanctuary attempts to heal units with the Doom debuff. Staff of Preservation only teleports units to the highest tier Town Hall, so it does nothing to Doom. 27 - Units with Backpack researched will drop their items when they die, and Doom is no exception. 28 - The Doom Guard can be transported, and it has a transport size of 1, meaning you can fit up to 8 Doom Guards in a Zeppelin, unlike mechanical units that typically have transport sizes of 2. 29 - Doom Guard is classified as a Demon unit, meaning that certain spells that only work on Undead units cannot work, but abilities such as Death Coil and Holy Light that affect both Undead and Demon units will work. 30 & 31 - Doom can be cast on Neutral Hostile units. Doom also works on illusions, notes from #2 also apply. The illusion also takes bonus damage. (Wand Of Illusion is set so that the illusion takes 2x more damage) 32 & 33- Doom's damage is delayed when the unit is turned invulnerable (in this case, Big Bad Voodoo, Cyclone, and Tornado), or when the Sleep ability is cast on them. 34 - Charm and Possession are the only abilities that can remove the Doom debuff. 35, 36, & 37 - When Doom is cast on a flying unit, and it dies on a tight, closed, or really clustered space, such that no unit can logically pass through, (eg: trees and buildings), the Doom Guard is immediately teleported to the nearest valid pathable point. The same does not apply when the flying unit dies above deep water, however, which causes the Doom Guard to not summon at all. 38 - Doom can be cast on Neutral Passive units and on critters, instantly killing the latter. ...And I guess that's all. That was quite the long list indeed. EDIT: One last side note that isn't directly covered in the video. Units that die with the Doom debuff do not leave corpses, and instantly disappear after their death animation stops playing, meaning you cannot revive them.

32 & 33: Looks like Doom's damage over time component is removed entirely while the unit is sleeping, even after the invulnerability period ends. Does it reapply once the unit wakes up?

Nebulous Neuhaus: I know Doom won't work on an enemy Doom Guard summoned via Demonic Figurine, but what if you used Doom on your own Demonic Figurine-summoned Doom Guard? - You can't do this because Doom Guard is a level 8 unit with Resistant skin.

Also, doom is not permanent. It actually has a duration of 1 hour (3600 seconds), which is the maximum buff duration in wc3.

Actually it can be higher if you shift+enter it to edit the segment. That's the default cap if I'm not mistaken.

The critter part is interesting. When attacking with lvl 6 pitlord and you want the doom guard ASAP you can cast it on a critter

kurzackd: Most interesting and surprising things to me: Beastmaster's level 3 Bear is Doom-immune... even tho it's NOT an ultimate ability... Woah?! WHY?? :O 11:23 is really weird too... Doom Guard is considered "Undead" when it comes to the usage of Death Coil and Holy Light, but NOT in other cases! :O Doom produces a Guard EVEN FROM ILLUSIONS. Casting SLEEP on already-Doomed units stops Doom's damage, and they are not woken by it. Possession / Charm completely STOP Doom. (wow!!)

DoomG and Fel beasts are "Demon" race. Demon race heal from death coil and is damaged with Holy. im not sure if infernal is UD or Demon.

So basically toying around with a dreadlord and/or voodoo trolls can give you your own doom army, that you can load in a zep

DID YOU KNOW? In Warcraft DOTA, Tresdin's ultimate skill called "Duel" works on same way as Doom spell. Why? Aside from both you and your enemy are forced to attack each other, don't forget if most of your skills (and even items) are disabled when Dueling. So that's indicating if you're under dueling effect, you are basically being hit by Doom spell. What's make it interesting is : there are certain skills and items which still active when dueling. I have no idea how that happens (because Doom spell was supposed to disabling all abilities) I can't write all of them, but there are some examples : These skills will be disabled during duel : • Frostmourne, Abaddon • Geminate Attack, Weaver • Headshot, Sniper • Frost Attack, Dragon Knight Elder Form level 3 • Incapacitating Bite, Broodmother • Geostrike, Meepo • Caustic Final, Sand King • Poison Sting, Venomancer • Phase Shift, Puck • Fury Swipes, Ursa • Split Shot, Medusa • Last Word, Silencer • Permanent Invisibility, Rikimaru • Kraken Shell, Tide • All Bash skills • Blur, Mortred • All Cleave skills • All Critical skills These skills will not be disabled during duel : • Feast, Naix • Blood Bath, Bloodseeker • Strygwyr Thirst, Bloodseeker • Untouchable, Enchantress • Backstab, Rikimaru • Greater Bash, Barathrum • Reincarnation, Leoric • Spell Shield & Mana Break, Magina • Liquid Fire, Twin Head Dragon • Juxtapose, Phantom Lancer • Phantom Edge, Phantom Lancer • Craggy Exterior, Tiny • Moon Glaives, Luna • Fervor, Troll • Bristleback, Bristleback • Dragon Blood, Dragon Knight • Counter Helix, Axe • Corrosive Skin, Viper • Desolate, Spectre • Dispersion, Spectre • Backtrack, Void • Flesh Heap, Pudge • Necromastery, Shadow Fiend • Return, Centaur • Overload, Storm Spirit • Psi Blades, Lanaya • Berserker Blood, Huskar • Essense Shift, Slark • Hunter in the Night, Balanar • Borrowed Time, Abaddon Can you explain why?

@@munkh-ochir1571 Aha, that's it Maybe any skills that still active when dueling are not "real skill" but using Triggers or something like that (which ignores any disabling effect)

The impale spell from the Cryptlord ud hero also momentarily makes the target invunerable untill it lands back dow to the ground when the animation of the spell ends. Like dreadlords sleep. Check that too

Страшное заклинание... Doomed значит обречён. Спасибо за видео - если кто-то попадет во вселенную Варкрафт 3 и на него будет наложено это ужасное, терзающее душу и плоть заклинание, то есть малюсенькие шансы выжить в зависимости от обстоятельств. Вряд ли кто-то конечно из них прибежит к вам на помощь и будет тратить силу и ману на вас, но всё же... Дредлорд вас будет постоянно держать во сне (считай медикаментозной коме), что позволит вам жить хотя бы во снах Друиды-вороны будут вас кружить в ветрах - вечная карусель Паладин вас будет вечно лечить и вы будете чувствовать чередуя адскую боль и невероятный кайф от лечения (либо комбинация приста и друида -медведя и прочих хилок. Возможно вам придется поселиться рядом с источником жизни женившись/выйдя замуж за юнита-хилера. Возможно вас постоянно будут стафать сразу несколькимт стафами , а если "повезёт" , то стаф будет лечить 40 хп в секунду (столько забирает в секунду печать) и потому вас не надо будет много стафать, но вы будете парализованы всю жизнь, смотря в одну точку. Может вам повезет чуть больше и красивые ночные эльфийки разрешат вам много пить со своих лунных колодцев, естественно отрабатывая это соответствующими услугами ;). Если совсем повезет (хотя это как посмотреть), то в вас вселится одинокая баньши или красивая рейнджерка вас полюбит и овладеет вами, то есть подчинит себе, также как рукой сняв заклятие. Если же нет, то вы будете в течение часа гореть адским пламенем, вашу плоть будет терзать демон, которые то ли как паразит растёт в теле, то ли тело это как одноразовый портал, короче ничего хорошего

It would be so sick skill if doomed units would kiII a kodo when they are devoured. Like you see one of your units get targeted by devour and you doom your own unit before that happens and would I kiII the kodo too as a doom guard emerges. Better yet trick an neutral elder dragon into eating one of your doomed units to cut the time of fighting it.

I used to make muliple doombringers in the undead campain. If you use sleep the dmg ticks delay the damage over time. By that you could get 2 or more them.

Надо было ещё попробовать на бэтрайдере, когда он уже летит взрываться к цели, это проклятие отменяет взрыв, или он взрывается, а ещё демон выходит

Pretty sure it would be similar to Footman's case - the ability will be passived out and you will not be able to do so Upd: I'm not sure if Silence works the same way though

@@The-jy3yq I was curious mostly because either two unit can initiate the move. I'm guessing you're right because it probably requires both units to be able to "cast" the ability in order for it to work.

You didn't cover what happens to Doomed units when they: enter burrows, get picked up by a zepplin, or eaten by a kodo/dragon.

I distinctly remember being able to cast Doom on a Destroyer, to whom it would then deal no damage. That was probably patched at some point.
