+Claire Hagler I have a tip for you, try out edge of the mists! You can access it through your [B] WvW menu. As soon as you're on the map, make your way to the commander tag displayed on your minimap. There will likely be a group of other players on this commander, capturing objectives and seiging towers. This is in my opinion the fastest way to level up, and it's a great intro into WvW if you haven't tried it yet! (Mapping to 80 burns me out too!)

+Claire Hagler You're not bound to the typical "Grind in level specific zones". You have the opportunity to run Dungeons and Edge of the Mists. Hell, you can even level up through WvW and PvP (through the acquisition of Tomes of Knowledge). The number one thing also to take into account that there's no real race to the level cap. Half the content available to you is through the experiences you witness by exploration

Finished Personal Story on my first character , always felt shallow, and didnt really care for it. Because of that I have never really even played any of the Living World content except for some of the scarlet stuff...So for this weeks release of HoT, I decided to power through Living world story 2...and my god. I was blown away by how amazing it was, everything was incredible! The story was engaging to a point that I looked at the clock, only to notice its 4am in the morning and thought "Where did the time go!?", the boss mechanics are 100x better then any dungeon boss, and while the Story in HoT was not a selling point for me at all, its now in the top 3.

Very well made video WP, thanks! And since it wouldn't be me if I didn't grumble about something ... sad to see the end of WvW liquid experience. I honestly don't think I've ever used a non-banner/food exp booster so the liquid exp replacement will be pretty much useless to me. On top of that, I tend to play roamer/scout so the amount of WvW exp that I actually get is nothing compared to being part of a zerg (which is nice to do every now and then but drives me nuts if I do it for too long) so an exp boost won't be anywhere near as useful to me in filling those roles as liquid exp, which at least went some way to making up for the shortfall.

I'm actually wondering if raids will have any specific rewards that can only be optained during that mode. I mean, it sounds fun, I like a good challenge here and there, but I'm scared that after a few weeks, people will start to learn back towards easier and more profitable content. I mean, I can't deny, I won't be a raid-farmer myself because I don't have enough time to spend hours and hours in there on a regular basis, I'll probably even wait a few weeks until we know more about them, even though I'd love to join in on that period of experimenting and trying new tactics. Who knows, I'll do all the solo- and practical stuff first.. until I'm done with that, it'll probably be holiday season again and I'll have some time to check out the rest. I do really believe that the Guild Halls are gonna be the biggest change for me. I missed that since launch. For me an MMO is a social hub of people getting together fighting for various goals or just hanging out. I don't care about the story, I don't care about competition. There is other media that I can enjoy when im in need of this. Back in GW1 after I already spent a huge amount of time in the game, most of the time I just logged in to see whos hanging out in the Guild Hall and what others are up to.

6 Years of GW1, 8k logged hours, ~3000 GvG matches. Preordered GW2 and quit in disgust one year in. After hearing about HoT my reaction was "meh, this is a lost case anyways". I am a veteran player of the game, but the guild that I was in recently had a falling out. With all of the upcoming additions/changes, and being a player of all game modes, what qualities of a guild (ignoring the emotional aspect) would make me choose one guild over another? What qualities should I be able to expect from a guild without question?

You didnt mentioned the changes on the existing WvW Borderlands (e.g. the "removing" of them and replacing them with a more desert theme instead of winter theme and removing all jumping puzzles, achievements and etc.) So if someone is an achievement guy you have 2 days to make them !

Thanks for the update, but after many years enjoying GW and a few months of leveling all classes and being disappointed with GW2, I still see nothing that indicates that they are doing anything to make the new game worth buying. A guildie of mine suggested katanas earlier. I thought it'd be too similar to swords but the way they explained it was that using the sheath would be a major part of combat, could be cool. I personally am lobbying for kunai, ranged throwing weapons are much more interesting to me than guns and bows. It could fit with a cantha xpac too.

Arkham Creed Erm no. Throwing daggers would look dumb as fuck with current dagger skins and any class that would be cool with throwing knives already has daggers. I use incinerators and they would look silly if they were thrown weapons as the primary form of attack.

WP, do you think they'll change the pricing options when HoT is out, or do you think they'll just stick with the current pre-purchase pricing options (but without the beta-access perk obviously).

+Johnbastian They'll obviously lower the price at some point in the future, but I don't see Arenanet immediately lowering the price after launch. The last thing want is another incident about the pricing of the expansion, and how it's unfair to some people.

+Ray Q That's true, but I wasn't necessarily thinking of a price drop. I was thinking along the lines of changing the bundle contents itself. e.g. are they gonna keep the 3 packages they have at the moment or they going to go back to something like Heroic vs Deluxe edition, or even a new bundle set altogether?
