The lyric "Black Diamond" is so fitting here. It's symbolic of how unfit he is to be a diamond, in the emotional state he is in as represented by the video. He's grown to be merciful and friendly, but also unstable and dependant. That doesn’t suit the leadership style of the Diamonds at all, and if anything it makes him a threat to their hierarchy system. He also opposes his mother, and by extension all of the Diamonds, after realizing the sinful and bad people they are. The Diamonds are all bright colours - Pink, cyan Blue, lemon Yellow and pure White, so to be a Black Diamond would put him at a very opposite status to them, and I think that really shows in this series of clips.
