Undocumented immigrants aren't causing a significant rise in housing costs because they aren't buying up houses. I'm in Kentucky. What happens here is, they come over and live with relatives who are here legally. 10-12 people in a 3 bedroom house that a legal resident owns. They will live this way for years, working and making money and contributing to that specific household. They aren't taking housing away from anyone.

Hasan, your math isn't mathing to say that 12 million illegals have a negligible effect on housing. They have to be housed somewhere and it's low-income housing that we have the largest shortage of in this country. They aren't staying in posh condos or houses, or Airbnbs. So this effects the poor the most.

It really depends on where you are talking about and the status of the migrants you are talking about. For springfield, the Haitian migrants have been moving there for like 5 years and have the appropriate status to work in the community. So over 5 years they added 15,000 legal work force people and the city never picked up home development.... In Denver, they have rented out hotels to house asylum seekers, etc. Now I don't know the numbers for how many young americas there are looking for starter homes vs the amount available, but I'm hesitant to think migrants are renting every decently priced apartment and starter home. Especially when their status determines if they can even rent or get a job to pay rent.
@youngras47113 ай бұрын
Well like the first clip said you need specific documents to purchase property and even more documents to rent. In my opinion it’s hard to assume that the majority of people illegally migrating have access to people capable of and willing to forge government documents successfully.
