Spectro and Tapestry of Nations will always be my favorite parades I actually enjoyed the car design experience and have a collection with all 5 (2 or 3 balanced designs) but the “story” was meh so 🤞🏼 we get the best of both worlds

The last time I was in Epcot we were waiting in the queue and I noticed a whole piece of track that was NOT supported by its intended foundation (you could see the concrete was broken) and the whole track was way over flexing every time a car went over it. That’s why it’s down for so long. Severe architectural failures

I worked at Disneyland when Space Mtn. was bring built and as a CM we got to ride it before it opened for training (I was in Merchandise). It went much faster until they adjusted the wheels before it opened.

Disney's approach to projects in their parks seems to have less to do with dependable timeframes and schedules, and more to do with an attitude of "We'll get to it when we get to it. Whatever". Any timeframe projections they make when first announcing projects should be taken with a grain of salt.

I don’t know if it’s really going to happen but I hope Disneyland Paris does bring back Space Mountain From the Earth to the Moon for its 30th anniversary celebration because that was the attraction that saved the park from bankruptcy in 1995.

Big Thunder is closing for a big refurb next year so as much as I'd love for it to, they'd never close both coasters in that park :(

Yes, Tom, a person like me. I totally understand the process and most likely. Yes the construction will happen anyway but what I’m happy to see is that Disney has to abide by rules that all the other theme parks are now agreeing to they have to.!! They have no choice that is the rules of the game. Disney had their own government. They had their own set of rules. Well now welcome to the world Disney because that’s not happening anymore and for each hurdle that they have to jump. I’m enjoying this because it’s been a long time coming and if it takes a little longer, so be it tough crap I say deal with it Disney.

I definitely prefer the original test track. It actually had thought and imageneering behind it. Test track 2.0 was a high school project that name true. Haven't been to Disney in over 10 years and will be there next year and it's sad test track won't be open yet. After that it looks like Disney will be under construction all over the place, Epic looks like a good place to try

What about Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular? It’s been there since the park opened. In fact, Kevin, now an announcer and trainer of incoming stunt performers, was the original Stunt man for the show and was invited to the premiere of the latest Indiana Jones film.

31:46 I very much agree here. I love Dinosaur because of how janky it is, and if it were a ride at my local park, I would absolutely be up in arms about its closing. It unfortunately just isn’t up to Disney standards anymore, though I feel like it's pretty easy to forget that in Animal Kingdom, since every attraction outside of Pandora and Everest is janky. That and, like you said, attendance. Disney is a once every couple years trip for me, and my past few visits I've just skipped Animal Kingdom altogether. I understand why people are sad to see Dinoland go but it’s unfortunately overdue.

Im surprised you guys & so many fans love og Test Track…it had/has zero animatronics, yet replaced the ride with the MOST animatronics (and Davis gags) in parks history! TBF I never rode World of Motion, but TT def seemed like an objective quality downgrade for the sake of more thrills.🤷🏻‍♂️ I guess nostalgia is a big part of og TT love🤔 …Especially when you view TT in the context of Journey to Center of Earth which opened like 2yrs later‼️

See you pointed out something that I’ve been complaining about for over 20 years, they need a better maintenance schedule. There’s no good reason for a pine tree to be growing out of the Millennium Falcon, none. These parks used to have daily inspections and refurbishments…DAILY! Why is it so hard for current Disney management to understand that people notice this stuff? Is that why they want our faces imbedded in our Smartphones all day? I come to Disney parks for a few reasons, but most importantly…to escape. These parks used to be a totally immersive experience and there are times now that they are not. Seeing broken or faded set pieces, seeing items that are in dire need of maintenance, visible construction walls (I mean they used to be obscured, now right out in the open), attractions that should be operating much better (might address the queuing issues), and lack of non-ride attractions. I mean there was a time where you could be fully entertained and not ride a single ride in any of the parks. I know, for some stupid reason, they view long lines as a sign of success. Park goers see long lines as a major inconvenience and, the savvy one at least, will skip attractions with long waits. I’m paying more than enough in admission to not spend extra money standing in line. We all spend lots of money in the parks, not to mention at Disney Springs and the resort hotels. If Disney is crying about their profits, maybe Disney needs to let go of some of their upper management staff. After all, they are the one that are supposedly responsible for the daily operations of things. I mean they take credit for all the good things, right? They’re also responsible for all the bad stuff too. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. The simplest solution to all of Disney’s current problems, stop trying so hard to beat Universal. Heck, they’re trying so hard that they’ve adopted some of their tactics. I’ve only been to Universal Orlando o e time since it opened, once. Why? Well, I’m not a big fan of roller coasters to start. Also, we visited in 1991 using free passes that my parents got because when they visited earlier in the year, most of the attractions didn’t work. Upon our visit, 2 months later, we encountered the same issue and received no return passes and not just because we had free passes for the day. No one that day received return passes. I didn’t like that the one attraction I wanted to ride had a 75 minute wait immediately after opening, as in the 7 minute walk to the ride had that many people wanting to ride it. The wait ended up being around 50 minutes and it was the last ride at the park we rode. The entire experience was over in less than 4 hours as most of the rides were inoperable. We didn’t even stay for lunch. I know that Universal has gotten better over the years, but still have no strong desire to visit. Maybe after I move back to Orlando it’ll happen. Back to Disney, they need to return to their own business model and not worry about how Universal does things. It is ruining the park goers experience. In all the years visiting Disney World (56 visits since 1974), it still is a place I hold near and dear. It is still a place that can hold “magic”. I had that from my first trip at 5 years old. Universal did not give me that feeling. When I see things that I know shouldn’t be the way they are, it peels away at the magic. I hold Disney to a higher standard because it’s what I’ve come to expect. They created an experience that was so much better than the other area theme parks, but it was only slightly more expensive. Now, it’s incredibly more expensive and I don’t get the same sense of enjoyment. That’s what needs fixing, because I wouldn’t mind the price increases if I got what I paid for. I used to get more than my money’s worth from a Disney vacation, in recent years (I’m talking over 20 at this point), it’s not worth it for me to go and be disappointed. I feel that if they can’t find a way to entice me back into their parks, and I’m a huge fan, how are they going to be able to continue to do business? Something for them to think about, I’ve got time.

If they remove the Rivers of America Riverboat Ride and Tom Sawyer's Island I will no longer come to the Magic Kingdom. I come every year with my 4 grandchildren and stay on the Disney Property. There is always the new Epic Universe opening at Universal Studios in 2025 and non Disney Hotels near Universal. Why isn't Cars located in the Hollywood Studio as it makes more sense.
