I forgot how nice the Kurzweil sounded. I've always wanted one back in the day... use to sell them when I worked at West L.A. music a very long time ago. Beautiful stuff you are doing here!

Genshi Media Group Thank you, the Kurzweil really has some special sound - it's deep in the basses and crispy in the highs. And it's all-in-one... the synth, sampler, sequencer and FX processor :) Cheers!

retro yet mint, great neat sounds. truly like it
@_oscillator9 жыл бұрын
Brodo Usually I'm using also external samples for wider spectrum of sounds, especially for SFX, drums and percussions, but this track is based only on internal ROM waveforms of the K2000. I recorded in sequencer the bass track, pads, drums etc and leaved some space for adding some samples later on, but finally I leaved all this "as is"... because I'm so lazy :)

Awesome dynamic range. Also, those sounds all gel so well in the mix. Only on the Kurzweil. The dynamic range is quite evident in your other videos too. One of things I noticed lacking in software synths. You can compensate with level management of course but it's always nice when you can do this at performance level. Lots of kurzweil patches have a great velocity response. Like a real instrument should I suppose. Great work.
@_oscillator5 жыл бұрын
Hi ! Yes, this track was recorded using only the patches based on Kurzweil internal ROM. Drums, bass, pads, soundFX - no any samples were used. K2000 is great synth with deep programming capabilities, same as another of my favorite synth, Emu Morpheus. I prefer hardware synths, although the software synths are also powerful - Absynth, Serum, FM8, etc. By the way - I finished the new patchbank for Kurzweil K2000/2500/2600, so those 100 patches will soon be available on eBay. A promotional video will also be posted on KZbin, so stay tuned if you are a happy owner of Kurzweil :) Regards!

@@_oscillator Brilliant tracks you have created with the Kurzweil ! I have subscribed ! You have an Emu Morpheus ? Will you make any Morpheus tracks for your youtube channel ? I am a new owner and explorer of the Emu MP7 Command Station. It seems that the Kurzweil may be the next keyboard, after hearing what you have made with yours, thank you again !

@@1heUndertaker Thanks mate, the Kurzweil is definitely worth to have. Great synth! About Morpheus - I already have demo of this synth on my channel, also 3 parts of "Insanity" track, only Morpheus synth were used to record this, no other synths. Best Regards!

oscillator Wow, I missed it ! Thanks for telling me. I will also check out your ‘Insanity” vids too. Interestingly, I’m in a band with my wife, singer, and another couple who have been good friends for 30 years!). We have a song called Sweet Insanity by Superfluity (Superfluity is our band name) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qquVoYd4mrirbs0 and there have been people ask what synth is used to make the sound, but it is an old pedal board, ... vox tonelab se... I prefer using older gear and exploring the possibilities which are available! In the future, when I can afford, I may be able to find an affordable Morpheus... or maybe the Dave Rossum eurorack Morpheus module, for even more Z plane filtration ! Thank you again, I’m off to check out your other videos !

My computer is simple old Asus N53 laptop. I used external USB soundcard, because this computer does not have audio inputs. So I connected the Lexicon Alpha audio interface to the computer's USB port. As recording software I used Audacity - nice, simple freeware program.

MAIA MUSIC Singer Songwriter I see the music as food, like a soup for example - the bass is potatoes, drums are salt, pads are water and lead is meat. Sound effects are spices, can be very different :) And what is soup without potatoes? :) So the bass is foundation for the sound! And it have some magic in my honest opinion... :)))

MAIA MUSIC Singer Songwriter Oh yes... :) If you started to talk about classical music - before I always thinked that classical stuff is boring and surely not for me (back then, when I was young, now I'm 46). I discovered the classic music accidentally, when I got my Kurzweil K2VX synth, that was about year 1998. So this synth has a demo song to show the famous Kurzweil Piano sound and that song was the "Arabesque" of Debussy... That was first time I heard something really great from classic :) Now I have many,many CDs of symphonies and this is my TOP: 1. Holst - The Planets 2. Debussy - Three Nocturnes 3. Berlioz - The Fantastic Symphony 4. Elgar - Enigma Variations 5. Mussorgsky - Pictures in Exhibition 6. Tchaikovsky - Romeo and Juliet If you have a time, Maya, it worth to hear these Masterpieces - I don't have another word to describe this.... :)
