When thor called his hammer, Frigga said "It can take a while" meaning Frigga, as his mother, knew he was always worthy and always believed in him. I think that was a large part in Thor's recovery and that made thor realize that he should fight.

not gonna lie, it made me tear up a bit cause amazing parents will always believe in their kids, even if the kid may have experienced many failures. the main reason i tear up was cause of one time i wanted to go to colleges with prestige, cause i felt i could make my parents proud that way, then i told them this and they told me something i would never forget: “we will always be proud of you, we might not always say it out loud, but no matter what you do as long as its something you enjoy, you can fail, in this case not get accepted, as long as you know you did the best you could, and it doesn’t hurt anyone else, we will always be proud” sorry for the essay but just had to say why this scene means so much too me 😂

7:47 Apparently it was actually Hemsworth's idea to have Thor not revert back to his former, shredded self in this scene, which was the original plan, don't know if it was just because he found wearing the fat-suit funny or because he really wanted to do a realistic portrayal of substance abuse/depression, but I feel like it's worth a mention, even if this video is nearly a year and a half old.

Lots of comments accusing me of forgetting Strange's hands shake because of the car accident even though that was a huge plot point in the movie. I guess I worded it STRANGELY but Wong implies that he can stop the shaking through magic and he (seemingly) does so at times from then till now. But if he's focused on other magic, his hands wouldn't be a priority. That's all I was saying..

And the sorrow, confusion and fear that a small child goes through when she's lost a parent is perfectly portrayed on her face. Even the way she hangs onto her mother for dear life. I wouldn't even let my mom go the bathroom alone for a while after that because I was afraid she'd go away too. So her performance was perfect in that scene.

Missed huge win: When Hawkeye shot an explosive arrow to knock Nat aside on Vormir, it was the first time in 5 years he fires an arrow. When his family vanished because of the snap, he gave up his identity as Hawkeye and became Ronin, which focused on using the sword to fight. Five years later when he is finally doing something for his family, he drew his bow.

I get that him never using a bow is a coolish theory but I dont know where its coming from, like why would he stop? Does he think archery killed his family, is his massive gang murdering spree so easy he can stop using the weapon he is best at? He took his bow on this mission, Im not sure why anything thinks he stopped using it in the 5 years. Its not impossible sure I just dont see any evidence in fact Nat and Rhodey seem to narrow down it was him killing gangsters based on how he did it. They dont say anything like 'no arrows but it still might be him'

That's what I was gonna say too. "Sometimes it takes a second." It's also such a wonderful Mom moment of she's been with Thor for fifteen hundred years so summoning Mjolnir is even less unusual than calling his puppy from another room. It's practically banal to her, but she understands that a stranger like Rocket doesn't know what's going on. It's honestly adorable. The thought of Mjolnir not coming never even crossed her mind.

Something that still nags me about Thor calling Mjolnir. We saw when the group of 3 goes to New York that the main cast has gone back in time, yes, but more specifically also to a new reality. So when Thor goes back to Asgard...there's another Thor walking around. When he calls the hammer, is alternate Thor just getting the crap kicked out of him because his hammer was jacked, and now it's been transported to a different reality?

@perrycarters3113
@perrycarters3113 5 жыл бұрын
@@dereksantiago3870 More appropriate question: Would Mjolnir have been worthy of Tony? In all seriousness, the answer is still likely 'no' because Mjolnir isn't just about willingness to sacrifice. Tony is still a very deeply flawed human being who would compromise on a lot of things if he thought it was for the greater good, whereas Thor and Cap are 110% only ever going to do what they consider the right thing without a second's hesitation. Tony, upon realising he could save everyone, didn't immediately call Cap or Banner or Nat or anyone. He put his daughter to bed and then talked it over with his wife; There was a part of Tony that was too desperate to hold on to his own personal happiness to commit to the idea. Once Pepper basically told him he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't try, even he was unwilling to compromise Morgan to undo the Snap. Had Tony been presented with that binary choice of "Bring everyone back but lose Morgan or keep Morgan and everyone stays gone," I fully believe he would have chosen Morgan. But once Thanos was on the board again, the only thing in Tony's mind was "I now live in a world that contains Thanos and Morgan. This is a state of affairs that only ends with at least one of these things no longer existing. *Kill Thanos* "

@@perrycarters3113 I agree with the whole Morgan thing, but the whole not calling everyone when he figured out time travel, not so much. As he is usually selfish he consults Pepper and not the Av. but, with this, we know that Tony knew what was right. He knew it was right to tell them, but he was afraid for Morgan, he's a father, and a good one. I say this because the snap was immediate-ish, as in he didnt hesitate at all.

I mean, Tony wasn't wrong - he warned that time has a way of messing right back, and Thanos got brought right back into play, and they ended up seconds away from Thanos wiping out all life in the universe. Sure, they didn't know Thanos would be able to hijack the time heist, but they still ended up with a double-or-nothing situation as a result of their meddling (and that doesn't count the other timelines that were also put at risk).

We never get any representation like ever, and when we do it's either patronising or a device to make a bad guy creepy, but this time it seems to be relatively (perfectly) balanced (as all things should be). It's always something that Marvel has been more in tune with than DC (ahem, New52 Oracle). Some examples, non-exhaustive: Physical disabilities like with Rhodey, Prof. Hulk, Daredevil (he counts), Strange, Bucky and Tony for the first few Psychological conditions like with Hank, Bucky again, Banner, Tony (plus extra after Avengers), Rocket and Carol Even a few more specific examples with Peter's sensory overload (yo I'll take it as ASD rep) and Yondu's (non-explored) amputated fin.

A shadowy portal materializes and Cloak and Dagger appear, Tandy brandishing a light sword. Lockjaw appears with the Inhuman Royal Family, Medusa back with a full head of hair. Another portal, and the Runaways are there. Wong: Huh. That works.

I love the scene where they kneel it’s actually a call back to the old man with loki in the first avengers in Germany. Loki: “You’ll always kneel” Old man: “not to men like you”

With the difference being that this wasn't a kneeling of submission, but of respect and honor. Damn. More chills.

The scene difference was that a god wanted mortal men and women to kneel. But gods, an archer, soldiers, monsters, and aliens kneeled to a Mortal man. Also little fact the man that played the man that stood up to Loki was a Holocaust survivor!

Also its a refrence to modern sports. Many compare the last battle scenes to a football game, the avengers the offesnse, thanos and his army the defense, the van the end zone, the gauntlet the football. In football games, when a player is injured the other players kneel in respect and love.

I love the little detail that Thor started his war cry slightly earlier than everyone else after "assemble", further emphasizing that he's not over his failures yet, but he's so determined to use this opportunity to do the right thing.

The amount of emotions in the epic Avengers war can not be explained. I cried. I smiled. I laughed. That scene is and still is the best MCU moment of all time to me. And the Avengers Assemble line gives me chills too and can not be matched by many other lines. Even the all female Avengers doing their thing is an insane moment in it too when you get into the story. And the sacrifice of Tony and his death is always something that’s gonna put tears in my eyes. No other heroes death brought me down than his after getting through his story and how much character growth went on through movie through movie. Even his final line to his daughter, “I love you 3000.” Is also what gets me hard. This movie is so amazing that it deserves more and more love and remembrance of how amazing it is and the cast proved that. I know this is a very old video, but just glad that you enjoyed it just as much as me and many did.
