@@AnimeWins Yep, the next arc is perfect length for a movie (I think it would be more awkwardly paced in a season) and they could seamlessly continue with the anime if they decide to do so after that. Content wise to the manga, this is basically the half way point of the series.

The final sequence really got to me. So beautifully presented, and the writing across all 3 seasons perfectly set up the emotional impact. Kudos to Kaguya-sama for getting better over 3 seasons instead of taking the easy, lazy road.

I also want to add how smartly they did the "he's leaving early" bit. a lesser romcom would have made it a "convince him not to go cause he loves you" thing, which is horseshit. not only would that leave him throwing away his once in a lifetime chance for a relationship he has no idea if it will work, but also making someone give up their future for you is so toxic. Shinomya KNOWS she can't ask him to stay and is happy for him, which speaks volumes to how much she actually cares for him. The gut punch of knowing she has to let him go both is more heartbreaking in my opinion, and also fits better the this season's theme of "time" (she wanted more time with him). the reveal that she's going to try and leave with him is more compelling, allows for a lot of future plotlines. most stories struggle to follow up on romantic storylines after the confession scene, but here its clear that there's still a lot more to come.

1 year too late but read the manga and you will marvel at the author's foresight in his plot for the story. The next arc in the anime will have to do in how Kaguya and Shirogane breaks free from the strict hierarchical system in place that puts so much pressure into Kaguya in order to live out the family name. If you thought Shirogane is already a chad, its with the next arc you will see him better. Remember when Kaguya asked him about how sad the Princess Kaguya stuck in the moon is? He told Kaguya that if he was the Prince, he would bring the moon back towards the Earth no matter how long it takes - and he does just that and so much more.

So, personally, I 100% suggest that people watch Kaguya dubbed as well The sub is great as well, but the English narrator adds an insane amount of unhinged energy to the dub that I deeply appreciate I have never laughed as hard at a show as I have at the dub

I'm mixed on some parts of the dub with narration (sometimes too over the top for my taste; so 'less is more'), but it is definitely worth at least checking out for a somewhat different experience. lol

So many anime never get follow up seasons, and when they do they can be a complete wash, losing arc progress, and even changing studios. But not Love is War. On a graph, the quality just goes up, the comedy just goes up, and the character progression just goes up. If we do get a season 4, which we just have to at this point right, all signs pointing to it being the best ever. Also, thanks for your videos, I only ever skip the ones covering anime I don't want spoiled.

Ep5 is a god tier adaptation. It is to date by favourite Ep of Kaguya Sama outside of the S3 finale because god dam that pay-off was worth it. A-1 Pictures thank you for doing all three seasons. If any other studio had taken over from you than I don't think I would love this series as much as I do. The animation, music, sound, VA and everything else make this one of the best anime adaptations to date. Also only three seasons for the main couple to start dating and actually share a kiss is actual pretty dam fast. God older anime rom-coms were a legit pain to get through sometimes.

If you read the manga, its also funny how fast they did the deed as well. The author isnt actually too pussy to be weirded out by it as all teenagers go through that kind of a story in a way. Reminds me of how I got mine as well thats why it resonates so much to me

I actually like the most that nobody was expecting Tsubame to have an answer for Ishigami's "confession" right away (even if it was initially by accident) Zero pressure, she needs some time to get to know him better and make a decision, and that's A-OK!

If I may recommend, go watch Mothers Basement hour and 40 minute video on Kaguya sama, so many references hit different knowing the cultural touchstones they reference, plus love the ED for a) starship troopers and b) the call back to season 2 where Shirogane said he would drink the immortality potion and rescue the princess from the story from the moon!

Would love to see you do a "Everything GREAT About" video on "Ascendance of a Bookworm" as it's an anime I really enjoy. Can definitely recommend it. Keep up the good content :). Short resume: The story follows Urano Motosu, a book-loving post-secondary college student and soon-to-be librarian who ends up crushed to death beneath a pile of books at her house during an earthquake. With her dying breath, she wishes to be reincarnated in a world where she can read books forever. Urano awakens in the body of a weak, five-year-old girl named Myne in a world where books are scarce and only available to elites. Myne, retaining her memories from her previous life, decides to create and print her own books so that she can read again.

I seriously love this anime, after season 3 I read the manga too I really can't wait till they animate more of the manga because its incredibly great although close to end I believe Another thing I adore about the series is the fact that its so visible if you were to compare season 1 to season 3 the way they absolutely developed, from under no circumstance confessing to one another and having far too much pride for anything of sorts to admitting they like each other and confessing (at least half way) This is now one of my top favorite anime of all time and I really wouldn't understand if someone dislikes this series

I used to be a solely manga reader but this series made me want to watch the anime as well and I have to admit albeit it missing a few scenes, the anime is definitely a better experience compared to the manga. I pay attention to soundtracks and everything but never have I realized just how complete some scenes feels just by the company of well-put songs. The spread out music such as the zenzensense in ep 8, the a-ha and persona in ep 11(i think) and especially the usage of the previous ED in the confession hyped and added personality to the scenes so much more than what I anticipated. Kaguya-Sama already excels in animation and seeing a studio put this much care into it brings me joy.

It’s truly a testament to how good this season was at wrapping up the initial story plot (will they, won’t they) and how good the anime is in general that it’s sitting at #1 on MAL over Fullmetal Alchemist. Can’t wait for the next season/OVA that they announced (a project was announced just don’t remember if they said what kind)

This show truly is an incredible experience but yeah season 3 is just a masterpiece on a whole other level and it was an extreme pleasure to see such wholesome confession and bonding. Also, at the end you talked about the season 4, I honestly don't know if it was announced or if the manga went further than this point but I ain't gonna lie, an other season would make me so much anxious because I think it was the greatest finale that could've been given to us and if we see more I fear it would lose its substance since the goal has been achieved. I may be too fearful since such great job was done for the 3 seasons, it wouldn't be odd that the 4th season is as good as them but that's just my opinion.

Ending on S3 would not be the true ending for Kaguya and Miyuki in a narrative sense for their romance. There was not even a direct confession yet (I love you), so can't even say that goal has been achieved yet either. They still need to fully face their insecurities, which is what will be covered in the new movie announced for the next arc.

4:12 "strange but lovely 80s vibe" that's because it was parodying multiple old references here. The music is straight up parody of the theme song for Passion Continent (Jonetsu Tairiku), a long running documentary show from the 90s (still ongoing btw) And the colorful background is from the 80s anime Kinnikuman, the Muscle Prince. It even has his signature gyudon (beef bowl) floating in the air.

Btw, if you want to hear it to compare, search KZbin for "情熱大陸オープニング" (Passion Continent opening theme" and skip to one minute mark pas the intro. The main theme song start there, and it's nearly identical. A lot of anime these days are doing these theme song references, but Kaguya in particular this season did a ton. For example it used Detective Conan's iconic "There is only one truth" on mystery segments, or the Japanese CSI show Kasouken no Onna when Kaguya was brewing tea, etc.

Last 2 episodes made me cry, the sheer amount of emotion. It absolutely breaks me every time I watch the practice confession and Kaguya says "I love how he's always trying to move forward. So how can I tell him, "Don't go overseas."?". The ending of it was perfect too and I cannot wait for the movie.

God that sequence in episode 13 makes me fucking bawl every time I see it. Literally cried even watching just clips with little to no original va. I knew when I read it in the manga that it was gonna be beautiful, but A1 knocked it out of the park, the atmosphere, the galaxy with that one. It's my favorite scene in all of anime, no contest, and is gonna stay there for a very, very long time

Let’s be real though, a lot of these scenes are even funnier in the dub. One of the best examples is when shirgone’s dad shows up for the parent teacher conference and talks to kaguya. I kid you not, one of his lines is literally: “why don’t you start calling me daddy and see how it feels?” I was rolling after that one.

This ending put a smile on my face but also kinda made me feel sad. I don't know if another season is going to be made now that they have confessed. This is the only time I felt that the anime might not cover the entire manga and end it on a good note. Yes it was a major boom and the studio knows that and it did make them a lot of money but I don't know how they will make another season without it feeling off from the other ones. The content in the Mangga left to cover is fantastic and I hope they adapt it, though I still can't shake off the feeling that there won't be another one for some reason and what really hammered it home was the final scene and the first Ed playings

Um, sorry, but I came here expecting an upload of the entire season. EDIT 1: Jokes aside, this was fun. There's so much greatness in this show - and this season in particular - that it's easy to miss everything. Good to appreciate it moment to moment like this. Also, I still can't get over that ED. Of all things, a Starship Troopers parody. Amazing. EDIT 2: I keep adding to this comment 'cause I posted it before I even started watching, but the Shirogane siblings have the best brother-sister relationship I've seen in anime (some would cynically say that's a low bar to clear). They just feel so real. Which is what this show just consistently does: despite its heightened reality and stylised elements, at its core it feels very real, and I think that's why so many people relate to and love it so much. EDIT 3: Maybe because I'm used to American media which doesn't even know rugby exists, but them using an actual Gilbert - sorry, 'Vilbert' - rugby ball is excessive attention to detail. Then again, Japan actually is a fairly serious rugby country, so I guess they would get that right.

This romcom is mostly defined as "UNLIMITED BUDGET WORKS". THIS IS A ROMCOM but you are sure as hell seeing the COM first before the ROM. They Split visual and comedy + music (Yes, another VERY IMPORTANT part of comedy) evenly. The flexanor of this studio though. I know A1 cuts corner from other anime but THIS anime is another story. Like they realized that they needed to do it justice 100%

The best part about this series is that A-1 Pictures that animates this really loves doing this series. There's very no cutting corners when it comes to animation and hell they even put in experimental stuff like ACTUAL manga panels. They really do bring out the best of the manga and this is A-1 Pictures crown jewel along with SAO. The good thing is that they are doing a movie which WILL cover chapters 138 to 160. My prediction is if the movie does well then there's really 3 more seasons that will finish up the manga series. 161 to 202 or 203 for season 4, 203/04 to 240 season 5, then 241 to the finale in chapter 281.
