Heb je goed gezien, ben wel nederlands :) Het dempen doe je elke keer als je aanslaat. Dus elke D en U sla je als het ware met de zijkant van je hand tegen de snaren dichtbij de brug. Ik weet niet hoe ver je bent met gitaar spelen, maar voor de beginners is dit vaak erg lastig, gewoon veel oefenen en als het niet lukt, kun het het ook gewoon zonder dempen spelen :) Succes!

Wow, this sounds really good!! I was wondering if you could explain a little better what you're doing to the strumming when you slow it down? Also could you give me the strumming patterns? Thanks so much :)

I mute the strings a little. It's kinda hard to explain, but I'll try. You have to put the side of your hand softly on the bottom of the strings (where the strings end). It's a thing what is hard at the beginning, but after a lot of pratising, you get the feeling and then it works. So keep trying! This was btw not a dumb question :)

Nice video. Here's a tip though: For the pre-chorus, instead of muting the D,Em,G,A pattern, add a Bm so that its like: D, Em, G, Bm, A! But do two counts of Bm and two counts of A, it sounds just like the track! :)

The strumming for the pre-chorus is a little different, because you're muting. That means that you put the side of your stumming hand on the strings on the bottom (where the strings end). At the beginning it's hard, because you're not used to play like that, but keep practising. And if it still doesn't work, you can play it without muting. The stumming pattern is: Verse: D D U U D U D U Pre-Chorus: D D D U U D D D U (mute) Chorus & Bridge: D D U D D D U
