My 20yo daughter bought these for my 11yo daughter's birthday last month to see if we'd do it. It was hilarious! I was the only one who made it an hour without drinking anything. It was hot, it tasted horrible, but the worst part was the nausea. It made my stomach hurt for a while. It also raised my blood pressure quite a bit. I'd never do it again unless money was involved😄

My grandfather and I used to eat hot peppers in a challenge, I didn't know at the time but he was eating bread while we were eating peppers, bread pulls the oils of the pepper down with it so it cools you off. I never lost but those were some hot peppers my grandfather grew in his garden in North Carolina (yearly visits for a couple weeks) but I grew up in Southern California and ate hot Mexican food all the time so I was used to hot.

I actually have a trick that can instantly work after eating spicy food....the trick is to lick some garlic aioli by itself like off a spoon and suck on that for a while. But peanut butter also help, although not as effective as garlic aioli. Basically I was trying to create a really delicious sauce and accidentally discovered that the aioli kept taking away the heat from the spice so my hot sauce just wouldn't work

I've done the one chip challenge. There is a proper way to prepare. 1) start getting your tastebuds used to hot foods like Mrs Renfro's ghost pepper salsa in the days leading up like 2-3 days. 2) get some pepto bismol pills. Take a couple an hour before to prep your gut. Do that, and you should be golden.
