Pro skateboarders already have an INSANE amount of mental discipline. You use your mind to make your muscles manipulate a piece of wood into motion and often to slam your body into inanimate objects hundreds of times a day and decide to keep doing it if not the same day... then the next day - for what is equivalent to the amount of time most people go their jobs. I can totally relate at the ending when Tony talks about the agony of having to wait for medical treatment. I broke my back becoming paralyzed in a snowmobile accident and it took about 4 hours before they got me to the local hospital, then I have no idea how long between that and flying me to a further, more well suited medical centre. Took almost two days by the time of my injury before they got me in for surgery.

During the U.K. pandemic, my partner broke his arm in 3 places . I drove him 18 hours back to the U.K. while he took painkillers and we stopped for lunch. He then worked on a medical ward for 10 days without proper pain medication or arm support for ten days. That’s insane. He lost a lot of nerve and muscle control for a year or two as a result.

Honestly this is one of the best media bits in the history of the world. Breaking down humans in such an un-natural way, is so amazing. Sean Evans has got to be one of the best media interviewers in history. Just his pure drive to always continue to ask questions during such a painful moment will continue to drive me back to Hot ones in any capacity. Thank you for the years of continuous pain and suffering. Thank You Hot Ones, Thank You Sean Evans, Thank you Hot Ones behind the scenes staff.
