It happened again. I got a lot of new things last month and in this video, I want to share everything I decluttered and everything I got, bought, and found last month.
I also want to talk about how things can or can't make us happy, my comfort zone regarding consumption, and how I felt during the past month.

I'm Israeli, I follow you a few years now. Thank you for admitting you're not educated enough on our situation. No one here is happy with the war. All my friends and brother got called to the reserved, a friend of mine was killed in the nova festival. And still we want peace. So thank you for your voice.

I never miss a video on this lovely channel, but I don't usually comment; however your comment really touched my heart so I wanted to reply. I'm deeply sorry for the pain your nation is going through at the moment, and even more sorry that so many around the world make no effort to understand the trauma, grief, sorrow and worry you are all going through. I hope that peace will come soon, that the hostages are returned home and that a brighter future will dawn for everyone in the region. I also hope that this channel remains a place where everyone interested in simple living, minimalism, intentional and sustainable lives will feel welcome and included and can find some inspiration and comfort in the midst a world so fraught with strife, division and pain.

My heart breaks for everyone in the current war and everyone suffering in this world. It is so much for one person to shoulder and not one of us can fix the world. However, I love that your videos bring peace, acceptance, and a community for us to enjoy throughout everything going on in the world.byour videos and your person truly bring me joy and I hope another happy and fulfilling month is ahead of you!

Thank you for speaking about the hardships of the world because it’s on so many of our minds. I wake up and go to sleep thinking about it all and too feel helpless and hopeless. Sharing our feelings though helps each other not feel alone in it. I love your in and out videos! I got some podcast episodes to catch up on now 🙂

The world is such a heavy place right now. I think the way you spoke out in this video was gentle and balanced. It’s always good to remind each other that we are not alone in our grief and heartbreak about current events. I’m glad things are going well with you. Joy is important as well. Take care!

You have a son!? I'm a new subscriber and love your videos. I would love if you did a video regarding minimalism and kids. That's one area that challenges me the most. I cringe every time someone buys my son something especially clothes and toys because most of the time it's something he does not need. And by the way I feel the same as you, I'm heartbroken for the world and everyone suffering.

For the blazer i would put it in a delicates bag, wash it in the delicate cycle, and hang it up to dry. I think the dryer really damages things more than the washing machine especially because of the delicate cycle.

You're doing such a great job, your videos are very inspiring! I remembered you said you were a mum but I don't find any content related to minimalism and having a child on your channel (let me know if I'm wrong 😊). My little one is turning 3 and I would love to know how you deal with everything with your family, if you have advices for raising a child this way and so on. Thank you ❤

Thanks for your honesty and empathy. Situations in our world are heartbreaking. And we can at least acknowledge that. On the extra stuff: last year I had a no buy year and it was well worth doing. It was a refreshing, non-stressful,illuminating experience. This year has been mostly a no buy year but this month I acquired more items also and it felt weird. And I think it’s because I’m used to making do, thinking about what’s essential, and committing to a life which doesn’t revolve around stuff. Take care🍂🍁🐇

I throw most things into the washing machine, regardless of the label - I would happily put those trainers through a machine wash. However, a blazer might be difficult because of ironing it afterwards, it may lose its crispness and be spoilt. But you still have options, like dabbing any stains with isopropyl alcohol or other things you can try. Check out Nancy Birtwhistle, she has fantastic and very easy, ecological solutions for almost everything and only uses very simple products like washing soda, bicarb and sodium percarbonate (green bleach), isopropyl alcohol etc. that aren't toxic for the environment (they break down into salts and water).

You can wash tennis shoes easily. Just throw them in the wash machine. I do it all the time. They come out squeaky clean.

I’ve washed quite a few dry clean only things, I have never had a problem I just use a wool and silk ( delicates) detergent instead of regular detergent and put on the hand wash cycle with a low spin x

This is your channel and you have every right to express your thoughts and to be political (which should not be such a taboo, btw). Nobody's "educated" enough and I think we are all just so sad to witness this moment in time.

I wouldn't wash the blazer in the washing machine, but rather spot clean it.

War is normal. That s it. We will always fight for our Interests. I has always been like this, will always be like that. Animals, insectes also fight. That s it. You are really on point when you say « to buy something makes fun the Moment you buy it and the few first times you use it ». That is it. After we get used and don t find it fancy anymore. Material stuff is clutter very quick basically!

When speaking on political issues on their channels, some creators I follow will give a brief summary + their opinion on what they stand for during any current crisis they bring light to for their audience. Typically then they will mention the links they leave in the description that thoroughly explore the topic from more knowledgable sources than themselves for those interested. You could try something like this if you want an idea for incorporating politics into your current content : )

I am Ukrainian and no one in our country wanted the war we’re in. I understand that it is very confusing for someone unaffected by war to pick sides. I was the same. But when the war comes to your home, you don’t even have a choice to make. What is important for democratic countries right now is to unite against terrorist states. It IS important to support fellow democratic countries such as Ukraine and Israel and to NOT let the terrirists win. Because terrorists will do everything to involve as many peaceful citizens from both sides of the conflict as possible, those who didn’t choose the war

I don’t believe you need to be educated to conclude that the suffering of any innocent people on all sides is justified. Seeing the images of those children traumatised by such horrific acts can never be justified at any level and for most people just like Lia you can see just how disturbed by recent events they are.
