If you aren’t sure about the size it might be a good idea to trace the pattern out on paper so you don’t have to repurchase the pattern. That gets expensive.

I love the Brillo pad fabric you are wearing. Yesterday I found that fabric at my local Hobby Lobby (on sale for $1.60 per yard!). Did you pretreat the fabric or have you tried washing your garment after making it? I pretreat my fabric before cutting and wondered what I should do with this fun fabric. I appreciate your advice; thank you!

Ooh awesome and for an awesome price! I pre washed the fabric and used a fabric softener. I also washed on a gently cycle and hung to dry. I have not put this fabric in the dryer and don’t intend on doing so. It air dried beautifully! The fabric was easy to sew and presented few challenges when cutting. Have fun! Happy Sewing!

I have a Brother 1034D. I’ve bookmarked many great tutorials on KZbin and have a book so I know I’m in great shape once I finally just sit down to figure it out.
