I so agree with that Amy that it can be sooo exhausting when people ask so many questions about your life and I personally find that very exhausting but it never has to be a aggressive boundary like you said.

Awhh! We lived in Southern California for a while then moved to the DC area! It was amazing! Best of luck on this new adjustment!!! The weather is the absolute best! I recently left my job as well and i gave them 3 weeks' notice, the mood change is insane after you let them know.

I just moved from FL to the PNW after leaving the military and the major change is just what I needed! I don’t know anyone there and it feels like an adventure.

I’m happy for you! That’s a big step. I left for the Bay Area with my husband for his job in 2015. We lived there until 2020 and then we moved back to the east coast. I hope you enjoy it there. It’s very different and has both good and bad parts. During wildfire season make sure you have an indoor air purifier!

I’ve been job hunting since early June (and have 10yrs in Marketing) and it is ROUGH out there. Im almost 50 applications in and only gotten 4-5 interviews even having a new optimized resume and website. Hope your luck is better and October really IS a lucky month for us all :) Cheers to your new adventure!

Came across your video and clicked on it for the golden gate bridge in your thumbnail! I’m a Virginia native but moved to the bay after graduation 4 years ago - best decision!! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. CA has its unique issues but it also lives up to every hype. I’m convinced there is nowhere with this much to do in such a close proximity - no it’s not DC/ NY (I do miss the east coast) but 10/10 recommend anyone to live out here for a few years if possible. Also a coffee addict - LMK if you need any SF coffee chat pals :) good luck with the move!

Okay so I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know you had a boyfriend lol. Totally makes sense why you would move out there. I moved to LA from Michigan when my ex moved to California too. I have zero regrets and you're going to have so much fun on this new adventure! San Francisco is beautiful and the weather is much better than SoCal imo (more mild). Enjoy every moment!!!

I don’t like that they said you needed to give them more than 2 weeks. That’s the standard and nothing more is required….they kinda set you up for an awkward 6 weeks like you mentioned when the vibe shifts…you did so much for them they should be happy with anything 😂at the end of the day no matter that job we have or how important we are at our organizations we are all dispensable and if we leave well they will figure it out!

everyone is going to be in a different position. like i said in the video, bc I was in a leadership/managerial role i felt 2 weeks would put everyone else on my team in a really tough spot and i didn’t want to do that to them. you are free to do whatever is best for you!!!!

totally agree but i got super lucky that my landlord was so so kind. they let me out of my lease early with no penalty just because i took good care of the place 😭

hahaha im thinking it will be similar to when i had roommates in college/my first year in DC. im sure from time to time yall will see him walk by in the background or help me in the kitchen etc, but not full focus like a boyfriend tag or couples vlog if that makes sense!!!
