One tip I can give is, scavenge as many leaves as you can. They may not seem worthwhile, but later in the game you will really need them.

It's not so much needing the leaves themselves as the fact that you can get xp for collecting AND depositing if you've unlocked the right things. So they're a fast way to level up.

One thing I didn't learn until more than halfway through the game - Fishing isn't a minigame, you don't need to click to catch a fish, just start fishing and let it go. I was standing up after every catch for no reason.

My experience so far on this game: -Prioritize upgrading your backpack and crowbar, follow by machete. Then knives and other tools. Machete is faster than crowbar and had almost the same damage, it can destroy almost everything if upgraded but crowbar can destroy better. - don't cook yet, ignore quest. Scavenge as many as you can until u find a farm. Craft seed bag and hoe. Plant all the seed you have, then harvest it and repeat. You'll have more food than you need. -you don't to build a flashlight, it's not that dark. Thermos give you 5% speed movement. Craft compressor, compass and sat link device (forgot name). Compressor double your material storage, compass allowed fast travel via link tower and sat link device remove zombie spawn.

Crowbar breaks rocks and metal, same with bat and sledgehammer. Machete breaks leaves and wood objects. So you need to upgrade all of it. One object doesn't break all.

As far as the skinless go, my strategy is to wait until the punch. Dodge the punch. Then deal a single attack. Dodge the next puch, deal a single attack. Rinse and repeat.

Best tip from someone who has almost 100% the game: When you have all farmable foods instantly start farming them on sanctuary farm because there's 2 large areas right next to each other where you can plant the seeds + radar tower next to it so you can easily teleport there +campfire where you can sleep max time to get crops faster. Then you can instantly make almost all recipes by searching incredients from fandom dysmantle page. You don't need to find the recipes, you just need to put the incredients in right order as in the page. Do that and your protagonist will be super buffed

I find it so difficult to find a game I can stay entertained in for more than an hour or two at a time. Dysmantle is one of those rare gem I can’t put down. One word I’d use to describe it is “Charming” - which is an ironic term for a post apocalyptic Zombie game. Kind of like Crashlands, It just oozes with charm.

indeed, I think most of survival game has in game purchases to boost your game progress which probably kill gameplay interest and make you bored as time goes by. Dysmantle is unique in its own way like the old game era. you just have to buy it and its DLC's and vwaalaa! no in game purchases no annoying microtransactions it's all grinds, explorations etc.,

I'm crazy addicted to this game. With a little dodge practice, the enemies are all mostly simple to fight until the bullets start flying 😉 You can save yourself a lot of frustration by grinding the base materials as early as possible. Level every house, yard, fence and trash pile you see to the best of your ability. Then when your abilities increase, revisit and destroy more. There are never too many leaves 🍃 in your box... NEVER!

Took a bit to realize: The number of slots for the weapons and the trinkets depends on the number of different items you unlocked, so unlocking bandages for example won't do a lot of good if you don't have enough slots free etc.

Upgrades to unlocked items count as well, i.e. bloodbag lvl 2 and bandages lvl 2 counts as 4 unlocked. So, when it says you need 5 unlocked you're 1 away. I thought it meant I had to unlock 5 separate items.

@@TaftisBack no upgrades don't count. Your confused. When it says you need five or ten to unlock it means total. If it says you need 5 you count how many of those items you have made. And if you have 4 you need 1 more.

from watching people play it really seems like if you are gonna get to the endgame stuff you're gonna need a ton of resources so max out your carry capacity asap and then destroy and collect everything you can

They are so many things to learn from this game not only to dismantle but to know how to progress in the game, the late game is not an easy task so you have to be good prepared for the missions, Plan every step you take because in some cases you have to go back to do things, take every mission for exp and do a farming for food for every food you collect. Do it and eat it because you gane bonus from the food.

Best way to kill zombies is not hit & back up… Time a charged attack & hit them as soon as there in range you can hit further with a charged attack btw. After the charged attack hit them with a quick attack & than dodge back. After you get the bat that has knock back. You won’t even have to dodge you can just do a charged attack into a quick attack. The baseball card trinket gives knock back as well. Mid game is where things become a lot easier. If your getting the modules for the escape pod your in a pretty solid spot material wise most likely.

I suggest when u level and choosing skills. I suggest picking skill for mushroom etc dont pick em early in the game so when you are level 5 on picking u pick 2x of mushroom and other .and fishing too for fast fishing and exp

This game reminds me of a legendary old school series "Commandos". But story-wise, this is more complex & creative. Only down side, the gameplay is WAY TOO GRINDY. You can spend hours just to get the effective weapon/tool level just to balance a single critical mission/quest. I tried this game few hours.. it's good, but too tedious for my taste. I mean, running around the map to collect materials while killing the same zombies at the same locations repetitively?? It ain't fun anymore after a while. If you're a solitude gamer type, this one is great tho..

I am extremely late to your comment but i have been wanting to write down my likes and dislikes about this game so here goes. The game itself is great. The ability to destroy almost everything is a really cool mechanic in my opinion. You are also not forced (too much) to progress with the main quests, you can get quite far just doing the side quests and grinding for your own goals. The early game and most of the midgame is fun, you can progress (relatively) quickly and the excitement of exploring everything is still going strong. By far its biggest drawback is the lack of action and amount of grinding needed. ESPECIALLY later on. Need to do this quest? walk for 5-15 minutes while being slowed down by zombies. Want to progress the main storyline? Sorry, but you are too weak and dont have the tools, get to mindlessly breaking things for an hour so you can unlock the thing you need. Most of the game is just going from spot to spot and doing some simple task once you are there. The fighting is good enough for such a game but it gets repetetive quick. There are only a few enemies in total, so get ready to fight them over and over and over... the enemies stop being a threat and start being an annoyance once you are strong enough, unless they bunch up in masses. Its either laughably easy or unfair, this is especially true for the bosses. I only recommend this game if you love low octane "cozy" games and have a lot of attention span. Otherwise it will just collect dust in your library.

Very poor as far as instructions and its NOT instinctual, too much trash in play, trees occlude views, no directional aid even after getting a compass, night is far too dark, and its overall too hard and long between upgrades. Devs unresponsive as well
