2024 was the year of rediscovering writing for myself and fully committing to childhood indulgent behaviour. I write tomfoolery for myself and myself alone and even when I get in my head about how stupid or how unprofessional it is I always have to remind myself I am my only audience and I'm grateful for the crutch it's given me to cope with reality.

this was the year i got into writing. it was february 26th, the day i started my first draft :) I'll literally never forget how fun it all was to start the book, so grateful to have gotten into the writing community and found lovely creators like you to encourage me in my journey!

2024 was the year I discovered your channel Ana and I really have to thank you- Thank you for being my introduction to the world of authortubers , thank you for helping me see writing as a more positive part of the comic making process because as a visual person- I struggle with writing, but your channel and videos have comforted me, inspired me, really motivate me to enjoy writing & doing the writing part of my comic! You slayed this year with all of the writing you have done & I am so excited to see how you will be growing in 2025!

The clips in the beginning are so beautiful and aesthetic! You truly embody what it means to romanticize writing. I can’t wait to hear more about your secret fantasy project. And I 💯 get the stress over uni, being a student and a writer myself, it truly is next level productivity. Good luck with uni and finishing ghostcide!

Also don’t underestimate the power of simplicity! It can be easy to feel like you need to make your projects more complex plot wise but sometimes more simple plots can leave room for your characters to breath and develop change within the reader.

2024 was the best year for my progress in writing. I think i discovered your channel in 2023 or 2022 and with all of your videos you have helped me in some much ways that i can't explain and when i had writers block. i kept on watching your videos consistently and now i am proud to say that i am a writer.. this is quite irrelevant but when i was bored in class i went on docs the app i write on and my friend saw and she asked if i was writing a book and i said yes and she said she believes in me and that really touched my heart. so ana thank you so much i love all of your videos and i hope you keep making more !

I loved in the Netherlands for a year so I completely understand the idea of being lonely but also in such an amazing place and soaking in the new culture. Congratulations on getting to experience that great country.

This year was actually pretty incredible! I finished my first ever manuscript, I participated in my first two writing contests, and had a blast plotting things for my passion project. I also found several good writing channels like this one ❤ Thank you so much Ana, you have no idea how much you’ve helped me!

girl I loooved listening to your reflections! I also love that you had a poetry era. I wrote lots of poems while I was in college; I’ve sort of fallen away from it, but I honestly miss it so much!!

This was so so interesting! I also honestly love how passionate you are about starting a bunch of different projects at a time. You inspired me to just be able to do the projects that I want even if it's multiple at a time because I know I'll have fun with it. Thank you for posting! I love your videos so much🫶🫶

One of the best parts of your channel is seeing how you have come to a place of accepting your creative process. I remember your Leigh bardugo vlog where you first started realizing that your writing always will be there, but now it has started to settle in you and its so lovely to watch that! Hope you can keep growing in years to come!

I feel that fear about changing big picture things of a project that already had a place in your heart. I have a project that I ADORE, but I know to make it better(?) I need to rework the whole thing and it is terrifying, so I haven't touched the story in a long time... Even though it is the story of my soul. You got this, sometimes a break is needed even when it feels like you are letting someone down (which is usually more a feeling we ourselves feel rather than the people we are supposedly letting down) As a fellow writer of sad and tragic books I can relate to this so much. And whenever you are ready to share "ghostcide", whether that is in a month, a year, or 10 years people will be excited, and it will have been worth the wait. ✨

This year was a wreck for me, but I also improved a lot of my hobbies. Even though a lot of it was negative, I'll just take the positive things to heart. You've inspired me so much this year, and the previous years where I discovered your channel. You are above all my absolute favorite youtuber. This is because we share so many interests, (toilet bound hanako kun, genshin impact idk if you are still into them but i am) and also when times are tough I love being recharged by your videos remembering the glee I first felt when watching one. thank you so much for the amazing writing videos this year, i'm looking forward to many more!

this year i got published for the first time! its a short story that I have a lot of love with, I wrote a lot of short fiction this year and also started my fifth novel. To be honest this year i focus way more onto discovering what things I like within my genre -horror mostly- and what things I didnt. Also my first article got published and that made me very very happy :3. It was a very productive writing year, next year Im going to start querying the novel that Im currently working on ❤

Fav project: my last one-three teenage girls were summoned to the castle and taught how to control their elemental powers. The evil queen then sent them on a deadly mission and that’s where I left off bc I lost motivation. I LOVE my new project too tho Fav character: Emersyn Faxon. She’s from my current project and I just love her Fav song: War of Hearts by Ruelle. Just the feel of the song helps me right and helps me focus Fav line: “‘Emersyn,’ he says, his voice shaking. ‘What are you doing? Put the gun down.’” Fav poem: none, I can’t write poetry for the life of me

My writing favorites was my project WE’RE ALL TERRIBLE PEOPLE- which is about a college student trying to solve the murder of her predecessor. It’s basic but I put a lot of effort into the characters and plots and I love the plot twists! I didn’t even see them as I wrote them! I feel like my characters talked behind my backs hahaha 😂. My fav scene was definitely a scene between my main character and her love interest. It’s where my main character and her love interest, Sal, begin to team up to love Sal’s father’s innocence. My favorite line is this: “I loathe you for coming into my orbit. I loath you for becoming my sun.” That’s my enemies to lovers project- something I won’t dive into, lol. Sorry for this wall of text lmao. ❤

I was going to figure out how much I wrote this year but most of the words I wrote was were not really my own words because I've been using character ai to write and it really helps me. And it really helps me get into my characters voices by making them in this app. Oh and thank you Ana for making a video about character ai I love it and I have used it I think pretty much ever since you put up that video!!!!! ❤❤❤

All the best with Ghostcide! I’m at a similar place with my own novel project that I’ve been thinking of as “debut.” I’ve reworked the plot and now it has a new beginning and what I’ve written will need to be reworked 🫢
