Best thing said about these times: the energy out there is gone. No excitement, no sense of community, no curiosity, no space to make mistakes or explore. There’s a fine or a ticket for everything. Absolutely. I walk around the neighbourhood of an evening and I feel like a ghost. There's a few regulars. But even they are reluctant to engage with others. There used to be a LOT more people out and about, and we would all interact. Even if just a quick smile or head nod. Nothing anymore. It's a lonely, isolating and totally unfulfulling existence in suburbia these days.

I haven't eaten ata restaurant in years. I haven't seen a movie in a theatre since 2015. I have a wolf dog and walk 10 miles a day instead. It's so much more rewarding than any experience capitalism can give you. Walking through the woods or along the shoreline and observing the seasons changing is something that gives me energy instead of stealing it from me.

I did everything I was told to do. Played sports, got good grades, went to a good university. Ended up graduating into a recession with a worthless degree. Broke my back (literally) working manual labor to get by, and from sports related injuries. I've been laid off 5 times in the last four years. My only option is to go back to school to get an advanced degree and hope I can find a decent job. Didn't work the first time around, not sure if I can muster the energy to give it another go. 6 months ago I left my girlfriend of 10 years, she wanted kids and marriage, I couldn't afford it. I was told by 5 neurosurgeons there is nothing they can do to help my back injury. I quit my shitty minimum wage job, and moved into my car. Life a scam, humans are wage slaves for the elites. The fed creates money from nothing. The central bankers enslave the world with fiat and usury. Religions psychologically control the masses. If you don't agree with them and follow along you go to jail, are persecuted, or killed in war. This place is hell. I decided I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want until my time is up.

That's rough brother. If you can try to get into tech / IT. Atleast something that doesn't require a lot of physical movement. Living in a van or car can be great if it's done right. I did 2 years In a van and I loved it. I had no bills except my phone / internet and food costs. I fix my own cars etc so that was never an issue with repairs etc. Life ain't getting easier. I feel like we were just born at the wrong time unfortunately. But that said, there's always gaps and opportunities in the right places if you can find them. Even in a broken economy. Otherwise how do they profit so hard on wars and economic collapse ? Hang in there bro, don't give up. Even tho shit is pointless ultimately, we only get one life so may aswell try to enjoy it as best we can.

I recently became a certified electrician at 20. After graduating, I attended a career event where numerous companies were eager to hire us. I told them, ‘Look, you need me; I don’t need you. So if you want me, you’ll need to accommodate my schedule.’ Sure enough, a couple of companies were willing to do just that. I ended up signing with one that even offered me a signing bonus, and I’m now earning really well. This month, I also obtained my CDL so I can travel across the U.S. with my dad, who’s an on-the-road driver. In the upcoming semester, I’ll be taking classes to enter the nursing field, and my electrician job is flexible enough to work with my schedule.

The video did well because there is a HUGE mass awakening of millions of ppl around the world. I used to think something was wrong with me, not wanting to do “all the things” that others were doing for the gram or FB. I’ve learned to embrace being content with less and less. I’m 42 now, I remember a time when the world was “fun”, restaurants and stores stayed open past 9-10pm, looting and crime wasn’t normalized through our country, there were clubs and bars were everyone hung out in peace, there wasn’t a new “crisis” every other day being shoved down our throats and politics were just politics. Not to mention we still had the illusion that the American dream was still attainable for anyone who worked for it. Prices seemed normal. The world has lost its luster for me, seems I’m not the only one. My goal is to obtain some land and live in a small home, be as sustainable as possible for ourselves and enjoy what is still beautiful in this world~ nature. I yearn for minimalism and enjoying whatever truth is left in this world. Good luck out there yall❤

Not to mention that the chemicals in boxed processed foods cause your hormones to go unbalanced. When your hormones are off balance it affects your metabolism which then causes you to become insulin resistant. Took family out to universal for Mario land. It was packed with kids and adults alike which is fine but they had timed entries and it was filled to capacity anyways. Then we bought a wristband for their points and they even had a worker that double checked the kiosk machine receipts as the area was shoulder to shoulder. We go through the rides/games and we get to the last section and it only allows entry to the wristband user or a child and parent… man I was furious cause I spent most of the day there, rides were dumb mini games focused on the theme (think press some button, team wack a mole, spin a wheel and roll off the character) and the best part is that one ride didn’t register the mini game points and the gun broke after we waited 2 hours to get on it. I honestly didn’t care until I was denied entry into the last section and I remembered how they had that worker checking receipts but didn’t inform us about the last section required a wristband… I felt ripped off since it was a charge upon charge upon charge going through the park. I expect some of it but they knee capped the experience and didn’t plan the experience. I shouldn’t have expected more but I did.

We hit up garage sales, farm stands, eat at a cheap diner and turn back home. The Six Flags near me is garbage. Everything sucks, LOUD obnoxious music, rude people. It used to be a place called Story Town (Lake George). Y'all should look it up. It was all story book themed, we walked through an Alice in Wonderland themed wooded area, swan boat rides, tiny villages with buildings just tall enough for a child to enter, such fun.

I’m about to turn 40, and in many ways I saw this coming as far back as 2015, I just never was mentally prepared for the existential disenfranchisement that comes with it. Nothing in the culture fills me with joy, it’s all fake and ghey. I do fortunately make enough to own the roof over my head and make enough for maintenance and repair… but the dread of being around masses of people dying/crying inside because the death of the culture still comes home to my soul. All I really do now is listen to podcasts, work and tend to a garden/food forest wondering when these fever dream of bullshit is going to end for everyone else so we all can enjoy it. As for digital… I used to be huge on building gaming PC’s in the mid 2000’s and now I rather not be connected… I have this suspicion that the hype of the digital age is over and that being disconnected 90% of the time is where it’s as now. I mean, working in tech I guess I’d want to own a portable convertible tablet/laptop but I don’t want to be bound by any of it anymore than I am. It’s like we’ve all been bound to it now by force, instead of augmentation it’s like a g’damn symbiotic parasite. “Mediocre fuckin meals”, man, even before 2020, there was already this consensus from an article titled, “Premium Mediocre”, we all were eating this fucking slop for years. And when we have to eat it, most of the time it leaves this internal feeling like, “should’ve just made a sandwich or some fucking PB&J”

Some of us 50+ think your generation works very hard, deal with lots of stress, just to have things you should be able to obtain continue to move further and further out of your reach. We hate this for you. My two adult sons (with no families of their either) work hard and it takes most of their incomes just to have their own places, vehicles, pay bills, and have some fun money. They each came home a couple of times, one for a year to save up money, the other for two years to get completely out of debt. Then the little birds flew away again, armed with a bit of extra cushion money. I see the pain, it's now awful out there. "Funny" story; when I was 7 years old my friend's dad was a mailman and mom a stay at home with 3 kiddos. This mailman could pay for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, with this job alone. Yes, we are ripped off. Demokratic institusions are down. As a Norwegian I se EU changing laws to make a dictatorship. Norway is not even part of EU but the big shareholder globalists are ruling every thing. I feel bad for how my grown kids are treated. The change began in 1987 with the bail out of the banks and ruin of people. The hyper greedy 1% and their puppets are thiefs. Nothing left for the youth if not among the exlusive elite. Its feudalism on steroids. Capitalism just for the 1% . The rest are slaves. The agenda 2030 say all borders will be removed. The great reset is the last money transfer when we go digital and all our information is on a chip. The chip is not controlled by us. But the 1%. Its all written in EU documents. Claus Swab, top EU byrocrat say " you will own nothing and be happy". Modern coup is upon us. In England a lady said she did not like that millions of illigals burn down her village. She was arrested for saying that. Mranwhile the criminals get out of jail to make room for people who just speak against the establishment agends. In practise free speech is criminal. Politicians work for the globalists/ 1% and they owns the media. They will own everything and have freedom to travel. And continue to live in extreme luxury. No wonder the young and the entire culture is depressed. We know things are not right and its getting worse and worse.

With all that said I think whatever story we're living right now is slowly coming to a dreadful end, and we cannot lose hope. But.. it’s been years since being able to afford and enjoy anything else in life ie; travel, occasional supper at a nice restaurant, affording any kind of hobby. Hell, I can’t even afford to host an evening at home with some drinks and appetizers for my friends anymore like frequently used to. I’m so sick of any little extra bit of life enjoyment in life revolving around money. I now stay home,I go nowhere, I do nothing, not because I choose to, but simply because I cannot afford to. The cost of the fun I want to experience in life has just gotten too expensive for me. I used to be able to afford going camping, taking a fishing trip, or even going so where tropical in the winters (I’m in Canada), but those experiences are just so far out of reach now. Going out sucks. I go out rarely. I prefer to stay home and spend my day off at home. I keep my hobbies very simple and cheap. Artwork and cartooning, some things on the computer. Photos and videos. Digitizing things, etc... Going out is anxiety to me, and also expensive. When I DO go out it's to my local nature preserve and lunch at a local place outside of the preserve. So the only money spent is lunch. The preserve is free. Spending time alone among the trees and nature is my ideal way of going out. Other than that, I either spend my time at home, or over a friend or family member's house. My sister and brother in law live the next street over. Walking distance, or short one minute car ride. They have a back yard pub shed. Great place to hang out with a few drinks of our own, rather than overpriced bars and pubs downtown.

You aren't the only one who feels that way and you are young, not old. What has happened to this world for it to get to this state is unfathomable. When you don't have money, you tend to stay home because every time you go out it costs money and it is expensive. There is nothing left. Besides, you are tired. We yearn to be free and breathe. The problem is finding people who are on your same wave length and that can be hard. I don't think that at least 50% of the people are going to accept a cashless society and probably more. It is their money, however, we have been using it for a long time and we don't want to change. We have been ripped off and continue to be ripped off mostly by the rich and politicians.

What about lifeguards? They'll need to be paid, don't forget. And also don't forget the chlorine, you don't want people getting sick in contaminated water do you? There is a service that maintains the water for you and its only $500 per month for the average sized swimming hole. And parking, does the area offer enough to satisfy local zoning laws? Better look into hiring a site engineer, they'll be able to steer you in the right direction in this regard! As far as the temperature of the water, its wise to get a heater so you can extend your season, propane heaters are economical and reliable so its best to get a 500 gallon propane tank (minimum) to avoid running out! May I ask how deep this swimming hole is? If its too deep or even too shallow, better get liability insurance to cover any lawsuits....just in case. I think its a great idea but please, hire a business consultant to put together a business plan and follow it to a T if you want this swimming hole to be successful. A decent consultant is only around $5,000 usd. Make sure you adhere to all local and state laws! Have fun! Sincerely, the government and partners

Here in Santa Barbara California, the cost of living is beyond anyone's means. I don't know how other people manage.

This last weekend I went to the grocery store to buy ingredients to make a torta caprese (a simple Italian chocolate cake) with hazelnuts. The cost for ingredients was $80 !!! It's insane yet the media and our politicians tell us that inflation isn't real. I agree with you, Michael !!! You're a realist. We must revolt against the oligarchs. Stay strong.

You are not wrong. Everything is expensive. Everyone is trying to make money on every angle. They haven't figured out how to charge for air and sunlight yet, but you know they are working on it.

Thank you for your video... prices have soared and everywhere you turn they rip you off... find cheap hobbies like hiking, backpacking.... I just got into cheaper used motorbikes... I may be older but I saw and see it happening, your generation got ripped off from a society standpoint... that is why I say do those activities that are physical and free.... stay healthy... Dave, 65, Arizona, I took up motorbikes st age 63, my wife and family freaked out... kawasaki 650 I plan to buy a few more just to have my own little stable of bikes.... I use to backpack, ski, ride horses, sail .... I am not rich, just doing OK but you need very little money to have a healthy life.... be well young people

Its 100 percent true that companies you work for could care less about you. My last job i worked my ass off for 6 years for this person never missed a day. One day I walked out because I was so fed up with how rude and mean he was. You want to know what he did? Called the higher boss and told him i was fired. In the end I was happy i left though because i learned that the companies you work for could care less about you and i learned that i could make it... these are the times when I'm seriously thinking about going to look for land where you can build a little cabin or shed or something to live in off grid. If you're gonna put all this work into something might as well do it for yourself and your own stuff that you will actually own.

Your attitude is fully justified Michael. Born 1945 watching this all unfold at first slowly but now super rapidly w people taking their cues from government/business leaders who lie/manipulate daily, but things were different in my youth, not perfect but at least people were wo internet social media = narcissists in training!! I am most happy to avoid ALL social interactions, had my fill of user narcissistic stupid people who donne their virtue signaling masks projecting their genetic faults on everyone they meet. The future is a dim prospect sir, due to environmental/social conditions it is doubtful any of us will see the next decade, enjoy your peace at least what you can find of it, learn fine art of solitude ~~

@@itsMichaelJoseph Exactly Michael, people are not stupid but many many are very slow leaners yet even these dummies instinctively feel something "major" is in the air these fine days. In 1967 did tour of duty VN, before leaving everyone was pro-war, upon returning 1969 there was a 180-degree shift, "friends" I augured with early on now apologized admitting VN civil war was tragic mistake horrible waste, my point of view early on, yet it was decades later the shock of losing indeed betraying this unjust war crept into their friggen thick heads when Gulf of Tonkin lies upon lies became actual history. What mankind now faces is exponentially vastly beyond concern and comprehension!! A biosphere in hospice and a genetic degradation several generations in the making now irreparable and declining ~ best we can do frankly is kick back light one up and enjoy our unique place in history, just possibly last of our species ~
