Just wanted to add that I wish that all the brands of rider gear jacket and pants were made in TALL sizes! There’s nothing worse than when you raise your arm and your cuff goes to your elbow!😂 I’ve yet to find one that fits me at 6’2 with broad shoulders. Most of them online don’t even offer tall. Thanks for the content Ben. I’ve been enjoying you’re content lately keep it up 👍🏻

I'm 6'2" and I have a revit jacket in XL, fits better than anything else I've owned.

You can get a tall size jacket from cyclegear brands. They are the only places I’ve ever seen them. (Bilt has a mesh/vented, and I’m told but never physically seen J&P Cycles jackets)

Thank you for coming to Texas. Glad I was able to meet you. You have been a big inspiration to me to get back into motorcycles and camping. Thank You agan.

Compared to what you've done in Oregon, Washington, California, and Utah, that must have been extremely underwhelming. And I say that as a local from right down the road, closer to San Antonio. There used to be a lot of nice country dirt roads to have a bit of an adventure in the Texas hill country, but the march of progress has seen most of them get paved. The majority of good dirt riding is on private property and that usually means single track for dirt bikes, not ADV bikes. That being said, I am hoping to do that Big Bend BDR-X soon.

All land in Texas is either government or privately owned. Definitely cuts down the number of places to do off highway riding.

I’m from Texas, and that’s a good representation of life here. I will try to plan a trip to Big Bend, maybe my fam will drive a truck loaded with water so I don’t get dehydrated.

The main reason there such little off-road land for such a large state is that most of the land in Texas is actually private land. It was part of the agreement when Texas became a state. This is why there is only 2 national parks in the state.

The vast majority of land in Texas is private. Public accessible easements get paved or improved with well maintained gravel because Texas has a lot of money (ie, taxes from oil and gas drilling).

WAIT--WAIT--Did I hear you praise and speak admiringly while riding a 690 ktm?? I remember a "Dork in the Road" not that long ago who was more than underwhelmed while riding one, and spoke slightly disparagingly towards the subject bike! Did someone have an epiphany? I sure love mine!
