Hello just a thought for welding cast iron is to heat cast with oxy. Have found this to work well. Thanks for the great videos of your workingife on farm. Thanks Again
@jimmycricket53662 жыл бұрын
Also, keep a pot of sieved sand handy which you heat on a gas cooker nearby whilst you are sorting out the welding... Then as soon as welding is done, place the job on a tray and pour your hot sand over the job and leave for a few hours to cool evenly.
@ewanstewart80112 жыл бұрын
I remember welding cast in college (40yrs ago) anyway I was first finished and our instructor picked it up with tongs and dropped it into a tank of water to show us what happened when it was cooled down too quickly, but for some reason the welding wouldn’t break, it was done with oxy/acetylene gas welding 👍🏻🏴

Thanks for the video Matt. The new building edition on the development block will be great. You get days like that during harvest when everything in the paddock decides to have a break down. We are seeing lots of seed shooting in pods with all the rain we have had.

Does anyone near you ever try and grow pumpkins? I grow pumpkins in Illinois, USA. I just grow a few acres. This year I have about 15-16 acres. Not much compared to what you grow. I am a retired Foundry Worker and I was an Art teacher for 20 years too (My last 10 years I was only 1/2 time). I spent 38 years at the iron Foundry. We made castings for Cat and Case.

Hi max, when the trucks are too far away the chaser bins can’t get back to the header quick enough, particularly when it’s high yielding. That’s why we try get the trucks as close to the headers as possible👍😁

Harvest has been pretty hit and miss this year with all the rain. Quick question Matt, do you have a preferred brand for your big recovery/tow straps? I'm in the market for a couple that need to pull bogged road trains, sowing rigs etc. Keep the videos coming!

Hi mate, it’s been an interesting harvest, we don’t really have a specific brand we use, we actually have been using big lifting straps, they are cheap and strong👍
