Another bit of trivia to remember. David Simon was a journalist at the Baltimore sun. One of the guys he worked with, William Zorzi, plays himself here. He also helped write a lot of the political storyline.

Writer's strike delayed this season a bit, so you can tell some of that affected the show. If you remember the previous mayor ran a $54million deficent.... ugh.. therre was so much hope

“The bigger the lie the more they believe.” I love how every seasons opening theme really conveys the themes that the season offers going forward. I’m so sad you’re on the last season of this show, it’s my all time favourite! Another great season with some absolutely insane moments coming up! If you haven’t seen “The Sopranos” or “Succession” I really would love to see you react to those at some point , just a suggestion! Keep up the good work!

This is where things take a bit of a turn wire wise... Still a fantastic season but easily below par. Saying that, one of, if not the only, truly "good" character in the whole series features. Btw, that opening scene. David Simon actually saw the homicide detectives use that tactic when he shadowed them in the late 80s
