I remember driving though Ukraine in bus, i fell asleep. When i woke up the first thing i saw through my eyelids was just pure yellow, the brightest yellow i have ever seen. As my consciousness catched up with my eyesight i saw what it was: past me, about 10 centimeters from my head was an ocean of sunflowers. Just sunflowers. And above that a clear blue sky. I just gazed at it, the sunflowers seemed to move like waves, it was the gentle hills they where growing on. When i looked to the other side there was another yellow ocean, with above that same sky. The whole bus and everything in it bathed in the warm yellow light. It was one of the most magnificent sights i have seen, and still i dream of that endless ocean, flashing by the buswindow. I don’t know if they used CGI in the movie or not, but i have seen the Yellow Oceans myself. And i still dream about seeing them again.

extremely important film given the russian fascistic invasion of the ukraine now
@mattrasmussen32322 жыл бұрын
Russia has invaded for two reasons and only two reasons: 1. Ukraine is Ukrainian and has many Russians that live there. There are many more Russians that live in Russia with family in Ukraine. So? Ukraine was on its way to becoming a successful Western nation with all the benefits that go along with it. There was/is still a lot of work and progress to be done, but it was on the path....there is zero doubt. So? How long until Russians would say, if Ukraine, why not Russia. For sure, Russia has always been perceived as being wealthier and stronger than Ukraine. It would be like a little brother beating up the older brother. The older brother could show what it means to be family, or he could hold that little brother back years before that fight by mentally degrading and physically reminding him that he was stronger....until the little brother was demoralized and broken = Russian invasion. 2. Ukraine found natural resources recently. They didn't find a little bit of resources. They found a Russian equivalent amount. Russia wealth is from natural resources. Russia is a Petro state = fact. That wealth and power that allows the oligarchy and Putin to rule the masses and have influence over Europe is due to its gas. Now, imagine that little brother taking that away, or becoming an equal competitor in the area where Russia's only viable power comes from. No way. Invade. And so they have. It was said today, by a Ukrainian hero, anywhere Russian military goes, dreams and human ambition don't exist.
