I started my first hike here heading southbound from the new bridge. It was nice seeing some familiar sites from the opposite direction.

Kelly, so the picture you took of that mushroom the other day is called lions mane. It is very good to eat. Supposedly good for the brain. Look it up. Just tought you might want to know. Enjoy your hike! I have been watching your adventures since the AT. 👊👍

Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is a magical place. I never realized the Florida Trail came that close to it.

Wow, what an amazing adventure! I love hiking and basketball, so seeing you combine the two was really cool. The Florida Trail looks like an incredible place to explore, and the scenery along the way was breathtaking. It's so inspiring to see people push themselves and pursue their passions, even when it means going off the beaten path. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, and go Illini!

I watched Michigan win the national final title basketball game in 1989 in a bar in Vero beach florida. I was the only one watching it. Nobody else was even paying attention

When I was a kid we lived off tank water but in summer when it ran out we had to revert to a Sulphur bore, which was fine until you wanted to make orange cordial. 🤮

Where was that beach located? Looks cool. And in your last video y’all ate at fat belly’s was that good?
@BananaSixx Жыл бұрын
That beach doesn't really have a name but it's maybe 2 to 3 miles past the old Suwannee bridge. In addition the the FT curling past it, there's also a horse trail that leads to it. Nice place for a break or even to camp. Camping is preferable in winter. Don't want to share space with swamp kittens during warmer weather.

Kelly, Have you encountered more alligators than you have filmed? Seems like you have encountered a lot less than I would have expected. Not a bad thing but just curious.

What were you washing out in the sink? Socks? It's hard to imagine you actually wearing anything that filthy. I'm thinking I'm maybe not cut out to do thru hiking.
@claramullen Жыл бұрын
Yep you have to except the fact that you will get filthy and stinky when you do a thru hike. But that is all part of the adventure.
@kellyhays23 Жыл бұрын
Yes those were my socks! They weren’t even as dirty as usual!! Everything I wear was that dirty but I didn’t wash it bc I didn’t want it to be super wet the next morning. 🤣
