Thanks for sharing your journey. I agree a lot of hard times turn into good memories, You captured on video. Wish I had said so much more to the life and times i lived. Anyway, play this song, by Joni Mitchell. THE RIVER.

16:50 It sounds like it's time for you to start planing a Grand Enchantment Trail hike, to see the rest of the state. 😎👍

@maxzomboni. NM is such a beautiful state! Unless you're stuck on a broken down Greyhound bus on Christmas Eve outside of Albuquerque, like I once was, lol

SUPER EXCITED to follow your journey! You're inspiring me and getting me motivated to start planning my own SoBo CDT section hike for 2025. Thank you for all of the really good, logistical info. I can't wait to see more of Glacier NP!

For those of us who have followed the entire journey, we’ll be nostalgic too. I watched your AT videos way after the fact and still got a little teary eyed at the end. Do you know if James finished the PCT?

Lordsburg is where the Ringo Kid had a shootout with, and killed the Plummers. I don't think he celebrated with a Big Mac afterwards, though. 😃

@ephraimgarrett4727. I don't blame Ringo kid for having a shootout with the plummers, they probably charged him and I'm an arm & a leg to replace the kitchen sink and clear the shower drain!

You crossed into MX, (Outside of USA)? Was thinking NM border might be the end of your travel.

Interesting point about water versus miles. Do you have any idea how many miles you get from one liter of water?

6:26 That species of plant sends up that tall shoot at the end of its life cycle, after spending decades as a low shrub. It's been waiting all this time for you to pass by and witness its grande finale.

Would you be able to do the same hike if people didn't leave water for you along the way?
@jimhenderson3877 сағат бұрын
I loved the quartz hill! Awesome. Never seen anything like that before. Looks like desert, for sure, but you still needed some dried cow skulls. Every desert needs those. At least in movies.

Do you take the water containers, or, fill your containers.

The quartz was kool. It sometimes forms little pockets inside that look like minature caves with crystals. The shiny stuff was mica and was used as glass many years ago. Quartz and steel can give you a spark for firestarting. That little cave was probably an exploratory gold mine. Gold often forms with quartz. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

Great video. That tall plant at about the 8 minute mark is a century plant and can reach 30’ tall.
