Lowkey I would hate if after finally getting a switch after only having the switch lite, another animal crossing game only worked with the switch 2 😑 and after putting so much work into my animal crossing island for it just to be irrelevant after the latest big update to it only being a couple years ago, would also be kind of annoying

i mean.. thats how its always been, you've never been able to pass your animal crossing save data onto the next game, its gonna be 5 years next year since ACNH released so you've had quite a long time to do stuff, nobody knows if the next AC will be a day 1 launch with the Switch 2 so we might even get to 6 years, which is closer with the ACNL-ACNH gap which was a rare occassion by itself considering most Animal Crossings had a 3-4 year gap between eachother. i think the next AC will either be a 2025 or 2026 release 100%

I like to think that games from the first switch could still be used. Like now the normal ds games can still be used on a 3DS. Besides they also wouldn't have put so much focus on getting new switch lites that are connected to animal crossing; the coral and green looking one if switch would be irrevlant. Try not to worry too much, new horizons wont be irrelevant that quickly. Hope you continue your island! I'm still putting in work from finally figuring out what theme I wanted, as well as using another switch to a=make more themed islands. :D

@@kitty3999 it has already been leaked and basically confirmed that the switch 2 does in fact have backwards compability with switch 1 games, even more so after the recent massive leaks from chinese factories and even photos and models of the switch 2.

The new switch better be a more powerful console it needs to be as strong as a PlayStation the graphics on most games are terrible and laggy the fact animal crossing becomes laggy was insane.

The graphics are absolutely fine. It's the frame rate that's the main issue, especially on Aniimal Crossing and both of Legend of Zelda games.

I just bought the Maple's Pumpkin Garden lego set from target! I almost got the Julian's Birthday Party set too, but maybe next time :) I'm an adult so I just bought the lego set as a novelty.
