We’re living in a dystopia bro. Society in general has grown more separated and divided. I also notice so much more of people talking about being happy and posting motivational stuff like crazy. Society at its core thrives on being connected in a natural way and not through a phone. I’ve found the main way to feel better is to become “spiritual”… that sounds cliche but I just mean looking within yourself, meditating, being conscious of where you waste your energy etc, and other than that exercise will help a lot and taking walks etc. Edit: also wanna say when i say spiritual im just saying theres a .spirit inside of you that craves something real.. you can say love, friendship, etc. in this world we often only live in the sense that we're just a piece of meat walking around and the world tries to influence us in a way where it drives us away from what our souls truly desire. Not all souls desire the exact same thing, so thats why I say you have to look within yourself, because if you dont then the world is gonna influence you and confuse you on what brings joy to your life. That doesnt mean you have to become a recluse monk your entire life, it just means take some time off and really reflect on yourself, and then when you're ready come back into the world full force knowing what your soul truly wants.

It is cliche to be honest, the whole meditating reflecting shit doesn't help at all, and I'm convinced people just pretend it helps them to sound virtuous
@kingof20620 күн бұрын
@@NomadH02so what helps then? Self reflection also means changing up your friends etc or changing certain aspects of yourself. We live in such a rat race world where everyones busy all the time and people barely have anytine to self reflect. Idk, im just saying someone might self reflect and realize hey I really hate this office job, i really wanna go rescue animals or something like that. The root of life and your core experiences starts within you, if youre not reaching down to those roots then you're probably being influenced by other people. Ive met some very cheerful and positive people in my life and they always seem very in tune with themselves and who they are in a loving way i guess you could say.

I agree . I do my own thing too. Keep myself happy whatever is in this negativity in this world I don’t let it get to me. I don’t matter what I do if people want to get mad I just block it out even though it’s a cliché. I think most majority of people are doing this because there’s a prophecy of end times or maybe people are just scared of it and they don’t know how to handle it. In the revelation prophecy that were in , it can be very scary for people to realize it but most people don’t realize that they’re in it so they freak out and panic. The whole key point is to not break or lash out.

Comparison is the thief of joy - Teddy Roosevelt The facts are that life isn't fair, never has been, and never will be. Some folks win the nutsack lottery and are born into wealth and opulence while others are born into poor families in 3rd world countries. Sure, you can see rich folks on social media, but you can also see folks who live in squalor, you're just not looking for them. Accepting that life isn't fair is the first step to being contempt. Everyone is entitled to happiness, but happiness is partly a state of mind. You can choose to be miserable within your circumstances, or you can choose to be happy with them. And it's much easier to work harder to achieve your goals when you decide to do it with a smile.

I've made the mistake of trying to confide things like this to people I know, and they look at me like I'm crazy. Then I get patronizing statements like, "Maybe you just need to get outside more. I mean, take a trip somewhere, or get a dog." The truth is that people do not care about you, your life, your problems, your health, your pain. Nothing. And what's worse is that rather than owning their attitude and simply saying, "Dude, I really don't care.", they gaslight and make it about you. Meanwhile, these same types of people seek validation or assurance from others when THEY are in trouble. They said the 80's was the "me" decade, but the 80's were a cake walk compared to the self-absorption that exists nowadays. Even mental health ads lie and gaslight people, making it sound like it's just a matter of reaching out to get help or find a sympathetic ear, then most counseling morphs into listing what you're doing wrong or not doing and then another list of all the things you should be doing. A lot of people are just looking for a sympathetic soul, who's just willing to listen and give a shit without judgement.

Idk i feel like people mistake the trees for the forest, like what makes you think that one person out of billions of people in the world having a "positive minset" could fix everything? Like bruh, does that not sound idiotic? Like genuinely. You gotta fix the root cause of the problem and not the problem itself.
@Paladin.BrandisАй бұрын

I get what you mean, I've thought about this cliche of having a positive mindset it doesn't fix everything for everyone, there are people who are born into deep poverty and can't do anything about it even if they get a job because they just happen to be born into bad circumstances and people gaslight themselves to forget that life isn't fair. It's the truth but at the same time one must keep trying even if they fail because they must It's not about having a positive mindset at all, some people are lucky and some people aren't but everyone has problems

I don’t know how your video ended up in my recommendations, but I want to express my gratitude to you, my friend, for your words. I am from Ukraine, 25 years old. After the start of the coronavirus pandemic, it felt like life had ended-at least, that’s how it seemed to me. But when the full-scale war in my country began on February 22, 2022, that was true hell. Since then, I’ve started losing my loved ones, acquaintances, and friends. I thought that at my age, life was just beginning, but I feel overwhelmed. I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m scared because I could be drafted into the army to defend my country. On one hand, that would be right, because we are fighting for our lives. But over the past year, it has become clear that even our Ukrainian government is acting against its own people. People are being forcefully taken away-masked men in black vans seize them and make them sign army contracts under duress. After that, there’s no contact with them. There are people who are confident they won’t serve or be sent to the frontlines, and they loudly support the idea of defending the country. But let’s be honest: many people are simply afraid, and I think that’s normal. All wars end in negotiations, so what’s the point of all this? If you’re reading this, I want to tell you that nothing is more important than the lives of your loved ones. Not war, not money-nothing. Life and health are the most important things. Cherish your mom, dad, sister, brother, grandparents, wife/girlfriend, and friends. Without them, we lose a part of ourselves, and there’s no way back. P.S. I want to apologize if something is wrong with this text. With my level of English, I couldn’t fully express my thoughts, so I’m writing this with the help of a translator. Thank you for reading! 😊

i’m sorry for your losses. i hope you aren’t drafted, and great message you have written. i’m 23 living in the united states, and our government too does not care about us. they only care about the rich. while everything the people in power are doing to eventually send us to extinction, maybe it was meant to be that way

I opened this video thinking it would be about what's wrong with today's video games, but to be honest, it is not the first of this type that I see on the internet. I'm wondering whether it is a bigger phenomenon, or just something that the social media make seem bigger thatn it really is. But going back to your comment, I can't even imagine what it must feel like to live in a country under attack and face the risk of being drafted. It must be terrible. Dearest condolences for the ones you have lost and best of luck to you. I'm from Poland, from the capital, so I face Ukrainian people everyday, but the whole situation feels kind of surreal. It is a tragedy, but still the world goes on and you guys have to live with it. If you'd ask me now, I would say that I don't expect an attack on my country nor on any NATO country, but who knows anymore -- there are conversations to bring the mandatory draft back here too. Life is kind of brutal and unforgiving, and you don't have a lot of control over what you face. I guess all we can do is try to make the best out of it under any circumstances. Slava Ukraini!

My whole life no one wanted anything to do with me, i was bullied in school, no real friends, no woman experiences and has pretty muched missed out, been neglected and forgotten on everything ive seen other people my age do first hand. My dad was abusive so i was a mommy's boy but what killed me the most is that not even my own mother wanted anything to do with me, my dad revealed that the reason why my mom sent me to my dad was because she herself didn't want to deal with. my entire life has just been a side character no one likes, i never was good at anything no matter how hard i worked and only the fortunate would end up with more for less. I tried just being humble, self improvement, different hobbies. I slowly lost enjoyment in everything and i see it clear as day that the rest if my years of living is basically pointless, im only ninteen and i can already see that theres nothing waiting for me. It makes me sad because it just hurts to be told that you can do something, its hurts to have a dream.

Well we have legalized killing babies daily so when you’re doing that level of blood sacrifice to the demonic what do you expect to happen? Millions of unborn babies are murdered by their own mothers every year. You can’t have a functioning or stable society with blood sacrifice at that level. Then we have homosexuals taking over, homosexuals can’t reproduce so the family unit has been destroyed. Mass murder of babies and destruction of family and you have a broken society and broken communities. But society won’t fix it, women won’t change and save themselves for marriage to avoid any baby murder. Men are looking at all this and just going nah I’m out and walking away. 2019 was peak society and we’ve been in a decline since then. People are too burnt out from the rat race- which has constantly been tightening its grip since 2020 and don’t either the have time, money, or both to enjoy the little things again like hobbies, or roadtrips/ events, etc and it’s sucking the joy out of life. Also… it seems any sense of “community” has been completely abolished since my youth- no one has neighbourhood bbq’s or neighbourhood spring cleanups, etc. so our sense of feeling connected with the wider world is limited to what “social” media we use I believe the collapse of society is upon us folks- it’s a slow burn, like the frog in a pot of water rhetoric, most folks don’t realize it’s upon us yet

Joy is found by being present in the now, not the yesterday nor tomorrow. If you are constantly thinking of "what it was", or "what it can be", your life is gonna be a constant storm of anxiety and sadness. It also doesn't help that the world in general has gone mad. This digital era has our brains fried, constantly over-stimulated, to the point were what gave you joy, and you know gives you joy because you know you are passionate about it, no longer does. Yet, it's not only the worlds fault, its ours as well, we have normalized so many toxic things, and have surrounded our own habits on those things. Many people don't even think about it, but your life habits are toxic. Being chronically online, sharing everything you do, seeking constant validation, trying to show you are capable, eating way too much junk food, not exercising, and much more. Hard to swallow fact, but nobody outside of your personal circle cares about you, or what you do, and if you are seeking validation on your circle, are those really your friends? You are nobody, I am nobody, everybody is nobody, and that's fine. Go outside, meet your friends, do activities that give you REAL dopamine. It sounds so simple and dumb, but the simple things are what matters the most. Stay strong my friend.

Life is meaningless without Jesus. The real treasure got robbed from us by theory of evolution and big bang theory, we abandoned God because of lies and now nothing mean anything, we are a cosmic accident and all our days are meaningless/pointless. I decided to pick up a Bible 8 years ago, now my hope is in the promises of God. I have found something that most of the world today know nothing about, because they are told it is stupid, and are told thinking you are a speck of dust and your life mean nothing is smart. What a robbery af meaning and hope. The suffering has no meanig if this is all for nothing, with God you get strenght to endure suffering because of the hope and the promises to come in the new creation. Jeremiah 16:19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. Psalm 14:2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures 1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Romans 3:19-26 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. John 3:15-18 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:3-7 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Galatians 1:3-5 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Jeremiah 6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Try meditating to bring your attention closer to the present. Avoid social media and short form content. Choose content that grows your knowledge and develops you. Get into nature more. Try wild camping if you haven't already. There's something very fulfilling about it and it also helps to put you into a meditative state. Explore reality and pick up hobbies you never thought to try. I think that a large part of why everyone is numb is due to the amount of mindless content we're exposed to on a regular basis. We get instant gratification like no other time in history.

I genuinely feel the same way. I honestly don't even remember what day it is half the time all the days just blend together and not like it even matters anyways as Mondays and Fridays and Sundays are all the same anyways... but i have to wonder if this is normal for younger people or is just gotten far worst in the last few years?? Like did the older generation feel the same way?? Are we just soft now and cant handle adversity like previous generations? Or is it legitimately different now to the point that the older generations dont understand what we are going thru.
@alexandermcbrien264Ай бұрын
I understand what you mean about the change in people, I've also noticed it aswell. I think it mainly boils down to a couple of things. The cost of living is so sky high still even in most countries and its still so damn hard to find employment everywhere you look. Even if you're somehow able to find something the pay usually isn't that much and nowhere near enough to survive let alone buy a house, continue to pay it off easily or start a family hence why the birth rate all over the world is dropping. Other reason could be if you look at the state of the world at the moment like Russia Ukraine War and the Israel Lebanon war and bombings that's enough to make you feel upset and depressed as you see the state of the world getting worse and worse and there's not much we can do to fix it. There's also a huge loneliness crisis that not a lot of people are addresing which is causing other issues like Depression and Suicide Rates to shoot up. I believe this is mostly exacerbated by the rise of Social Media and Dating Apps that have grown in popularity at least over the last 10-15 years or so already now. A lot of people especially young Men are struggling to find a partner and women are the ones who are makind dating extermely difficult for a lot of Men because they all have a lot of options, extremely high standards and do not want to date a lot of guys that makes less than they do, which automatically eliminates a large percentage of guys from the potential dating pool. If you mix all of these things together these are all the reasons I believe people are feeling this way that weren't problems for a lot of people in the older generations. Back in the older generations everyone was a lot happier as you could meet and connect with people a lot easier, you had security at your job, any job could support a family and easily buy a house on 1 basic income alone and things were not as expensive and hard as they are today. The simple is we just need to go back to how things were in the past, get off the news and social media and stop ingesting so much negative content. However its all easier said than done, all these wars do not look like they are ending anytime soon and you can't reverse the rise of the internet, social media, dating apps and smart phones unfortunately. You also can't make housing more affordable for the younger generations easier that seems nearly possible and hard to reverse. Honestly Idk what needs to done. Maybe stop immigration into the country, less people could mean more jobs for people already in the country which would lead to higher wages, more job security and less demand by people to buy homes and live in overly inflated rental properties. We could also work to get the women back at home looking after the children again as half the population working with the Men is also making it harder for people to find jobs alongside immigration.
@callumhoward1976Ай бұрын
You’ve highlighted the actual problem - it has nothing to with immigration or getting women back in the kitchen. It’s that people like you do not know how to adapt to an ever-changing society (at no point has society ever stood still at a good point, because there has never been a “good point” - a well functioning democratic society in which there are no people being violently oppressed). I agree with social media, smartphones and dating apps being bad for society but you’ve just shoved all the blame on to women and immigrants. Maybe if you take some responsibility and face up to your life’s challenges instead of blaming everything on other people, you may find more meaning in your life. The way I see it, society is as fucked as it is cause of greed, nothing more. Society operates on a basis of profit first, people second. Hell, there's about a dozen US presidents who lost children. In the past, death was ever present and common among children and younger people due to disease. Now, most of us aren't exposed to death as frequently. If people could keep their heads up and build great societies 200, 2000, years ago, we can get through these times.

I'm sure growing up in the golden age of a nation means you feel this effect much less. Maybe you skipped this stage of maturing and you were forced to grow up by today's hard times. I just know that 2012 sure as hell felt hopeless and fucked up compared to the times before it to anyone who was paying a lick of attention to politics and the economy. And me, about 20ish years old, felt quite empty unlike any point before in my life. It was multiple years of feeling this way until I managed to pull myself out of a pit of depression thinking that the world was ending and the future was bleak by establishing my new identity with more fulfilling beliefs and passions. Now I hear people say the same exact things I used to say back then while I still feel relatively good compared to back then. That to me says it's partially a maturing stage and not all about the times you live in. How many times have you heard older people say "in my day, [blank] was better?" 0:04 I would put it this way, and especially as a regular gamer, you'll be able to relate to this. The emptiness you're feeling is similar to the void a player experiences after finishing a game with an amazing story. I had that with The Witcher 3. Sure, you can still wander around, maybe stumble upon undiscovered side quests here and there, but the main game is over. There’s no real goal left to strive for. The core content, the excitement, and the fresh stimuli are gone. 1:25 Childhood and youth have come to an end, but what used to accompany adulthood in earlier times-starting a family with a wife and children-no longer happens for most people. So, when you do reach adulthood, the defining and significant moments marking this transition to the next stage of life are missing. Thus, as an adult, you don’t really feel like an adult, but you can no longer enjoy the advantages of childhood either. You are in a kind of arrested state, perhaps state of uncertainty. What remains, then, is melancholy and the physical and mental decline that comes with age, but not the rewards that once included a spouse, children, stable family, and the building of substantial wealth. Of course, there were men back then who didn’t have those things either, but there was still plenty of uncharted territory. We would embark on journeys by ship to discover new lands, living lives that were dangerous but exciting. The "quests," so to speak, continued, and the story didn’t just stop around 30 or even earlier. 1:40 Yes, we are living in a declining civilization, and I can hardly blame people for resorting to such unhealthy measures to feel a bit of joy or excitement, or simply to dull their senses so they can better endure life. Only a shift on a societal level can help here, as solutions on an individual level have become futile. If so many people in today’s Western society are unhappy, then there is something wrong with the system, and blaming individuals for their unhappiness shows a lack of clear-sightedness. 2:20 A positive mindset must have some kind of foundation. How optimistic or pessimistic you are also depends on what surrounds you, the experiences you’ve had, and how your brain processes the world. If the circumstances in life that inevitably affect us fail to generate genuine joy and positivity, then trying to cultivate positivity despite all the negative conditions is, to some extent, an exercise in self-deception. True positivity is something that develops organically, without requiring any great mental gymnastics to summon it. You either feel it naturally or you don’t. 3:16 2020 wasn’t necessarily the cause of many of the conditions we’re experiencing now, but rather an accelerant. Even without that strange virus, we would have ended up where we are now, just perhaps a little less abruptly. 5:10 I think the major advantage during the Great Depression and World War was that people still had a stronger sense of belonging. Social isolation wasn’t as pronounced. In war, there was camaraderie and a shared goal, and people still genuinely believed in their country and were willing to fight for it. Any suffering becomes more bearable when one is strengthened by the belief that it is not in vain. But today, with nihilism being so prevalent, everything feels pointless and meaningless to people. This sense of meaninglessness is probably unique in the history of humanity. People have always suffered, but suffering without perceiving a higher purpose is a multiplier for the pain.

Do what you can do for you. Learn to be self-sufficient to the extent that you can. Do challenging things, learn new skills, and expand your general knowledge of things. Human beings being crammed into cities of millions is not the natural human condition. People dont think about that kind of stuff. Humans arent meant to be connected to two-hundred people on a daily basis. We're oversaturated with short form content, door dash, porn, drama, and politics. That's why we remember childhood as we do, we didn't have the capacity to worry about that shit.

What worked for me, is to simply quit social media, people nowadays are too afraid of boredom, find a hobby, go out with friends, do whatever you find interesting and are actually curious about, allow yourself to get bored every once in a while. It’s a good take but the problem with this is it doesn’t actually work. Not long term. Everyone and I mean everyone is online in some form or fashion it’s not just social media. TV, news, games, KZbin, streaming, all of it changes your brain. Tbh it’s not possible to go cold turkey and reset yourself without going off grid. Ask me how I know. I have depression and have tried solving it that way. But what you will notice is you just become out of the loop and things start to bleed into your life and shock you. It’s better to have hope and to make sure you build a mindset that is strong and protects you from things that you can’t control. Staying in the loop isn’t the issue. It’s your mindset about all of it that starts to either deteriorate you or break you down collectively. Essentially you can’t avoid it all. You have to confront this new “vibe” in the world and choose to combat it with positivity if you can. It’s the one thing I found that has worked long term

Like when sitting on a bus or walking somewhere, instead of watching tiktok or some other stupid crap, you can read a book, listen to a audio book or some music, or simply be in the moment, observe the outside world and focus on your own thoughts. I'm kinda out of the loop when it comes to the most recent memes on tiktok and other useless crap, but i still tend to watch the news, just that i try my best to get a objective view on the world events instead of biased hysteria provoking bs. It's fine to spend a hour after work watching something interesting to you, it's a problem when it's the only hobby you got. I personally still watch youtube or shows, but I do so on a TV with my roommate, and while doing so we will talk about various things, and cook some food beforehand, so it's not just mindless consumption and I actually feel like I'm rested afterwards
