LEARNING how to ride a bicycle for the first time down our driveway. running and running and running around, playing, sweating. drinking out of the hose. giving our dogs a bath in the front yard with that same hose. our family computer, watching the pipe screensaver, playing minesweep and windows pinball games. polly pockets. gameboy color and gameboy advance. It’s honestly funny and sad how many people are bothered by this video. I don’t think like bitter and close minded people. Too many think in terms of polarizing extremes. Everything has to be one way and one way only. I don’t, I mentioned the benefits of the phone and showed gratitude for what it did in my life. I guess those statements slip past the Neanderthal tiktok brain and some people just get emotional. “that damn phone got you a million views” you damn right it did, because I had the courage to upload my messages and people must really enjoy them. I’ve touched and been touched by the souls of many. “the hypocrisy” Yes I make content that people consume. Ig we needed rocket science to crack that code. Let’s not ignore that I advocate for lowering screen time and being conscious of what you consume instead of rotting the brain of millions and making a damn fool out of myself. Fellow 99 kid here. The world seems so bizarre compared to how it was when I was a child. Most people had flip phones that were barely capable of texting, and half the time they forgot to charge them so they just left it at home. My family still had a house phone when I was young. There was one old computer that the entire family shared. When I played video games with my friends, it meant going over to their house and playing split screen on one TV, passing controllers around so that everybody got a turn. I remember coming home from school and trying to finish my homework as fast as possible so I would get to play outside with my friends, and we would stay out there running around, chasing each other, playing hide and seek, fighting with sticks, playing soccer, throwing a football around. Hopscotch, kickball. Every boy was expected to own a baseball glove for a game of catch. Everybody did some kind of little league sport or athletic activity. Very different than the way my 9 year old brother grew up…

I was born in 86 as well. I've given up television as well as social media for the most part, but the allure of the world wide web and its bountiful offering of information, vast yet available at our fingertips on demand has an entrenched influence on me that is hard to shake. There are some gems out there that are truly invaluable, without which I would likely have a significantly different view of the world no doubt. Only thing is whether that's for better or worse. All I know is that we are living in times of information operations of the Military and State and the integrity of any information obtained through this avenue runs a risk of being potentially misleading or outright deceiving. I used to feel enlightened by the knowledge gained through internet resources, but for all I know I've arbitrarily accepted much of reality simply because certain things didn't seem within the realm of plausibility, probability or even possibility. I'm pretty sure my understanding of the world is exactly as some powerful entity intends it to be, not as it is in actuality. It's a crazy world and I get the feeling that it is quite different than most of us perceive it to be. It is much easier to accept something as legitimate when those around you take it for granted just the same. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but serious scrutiny leads to serious inquiry which yields only further questions and increases the discomfort of an unraveling paradigm. It's like seeking the light by traversing an ever-darkening path

Did you know that you can go to Heaven for free? This one decision can change your life and eternity forever. You've heard that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead - it means He paid the price for your sins so you can be forgiven, saved and have a personal relationship with your Creator. All you have to do is be willing in your mind to have your life and heart changed, believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead and follow/seek Him daily. Watch how the Holy Spirit moves in your life.. much love and God bless you!!

You have a nice voice to listen to. My story is... here we go... I watch a lot of art tutorials. Instead of being inspired and educated on different methods, I found myself getting discouraged and depressed. I'll never be this good, I give up... wow, I went from joy to depression just like that! Thank you for this video! Eyes wide open now!

Keep doing art tutorials! Don't compare it's so so unnecessary even if it's almost inevitable

Same. I was the top artist all throughout school. Not boasting but I was voted as such by my peers. Now? I draw maybe 6x a year. And I used to be more perfectionist about art and dedicated more time. Now I want to create just as quickly as I consume content. Awareness comes first. And then you take the next step. With new awareness, the saying, " Comparison is the thief of joy" has rung so loud when I come across others art now. Please keep creating. For yourself first and foremost. It's our souls therapy and helps us breathe more peacefully by letting our body express our emotions.

You’ve got an old soul. This video was just what I needed. Thank you for your insight and your knowledge. We need more of this and less of what we all consume on a daily basis.

“It profits of your insecurity” so well said. Trust me, I have gotten to place in life where I’ve realized social media will only make you feel bad for what you don’t have, no matter how successful, attractive, or popular you are. Just put the phone down and live life. It’s not worth it.

It really is. As a teenager without social media other than KZbin & Pinterest u can really feel at peace knowing there is sm more to life than scrolling on our phones for endless hours, especially because it eventually gets addicting. You are beautiful! You are important! You are loved! Live the life u have now, because tomorrow isn’t promised! God bless🙏❤

I was just talking about all of this yesterday with my husband. I am 36 years old. I remember what life was like before being taken over by screens and its still so hard for me to pull away from them. I am recognizing my own addictive behaviors with my screens. Hell, I was mindlessly scrolling on youtube as you video showed up. Honestly its almost a little eerie that your video showed up right after I talked about all of this. Anyways, I'm impressed that you understand this at your age when you've lived in this kind of society your whole life. It can be so hard to see things that youre immersed in. Its hard to have that healthy perspective. I'm so glad you're talking about this and encouraging others to do the same.

I'm 37 and feel the same. While I enjoyed video games as a child (still do now, but not to the same extent) and the threat of "square eyes" always loomed, it wasn't an addiction. Whereas my damn phone habits... I'm conscious of them, but doing little to resist and getting frustrated with myself. What's happened to us as a species? So dependent on these devices. Argh!

I'm 43 and please believe this old lady, growing up without a phone was so much better. I'm now even addicted to it, trying to give myself a digital detox and feel myself becoming lighter and more focused on the things that really matter. I can't even imagine growing up with one, and being immersed in that constantly online culture from my childhood days. I was just outside every day playing with the neighbour kids and in nature.

20:17 i relate so deeply, as you said “you just wanna be heard” and just wanna help people live their lives to the fullest it hurts me to seeing people in the same position i was a couple years back and i just wanna help people get into a better place yk?

whenever you settled on a topic throughout this video, repeating the message was something i really needed. it burned the message in my head even more, and it made me think "damn."

You have an old soul man, listening to you is like listening to someone who is wise beyond their years. I was genuinely shocked when you said you were only 21. Keep it up man, you're the kind of person this world needs!!

I’ve never heard any other person speak this very profound truth with such direct and honest words. Ever. Online or in person. I know it. And I know everyone knows it. But to hear another person say it is refreshing.

Lmao bro aint no way you post this as i finally forced myself to delete Instagram. I agree. It takes up too much of our time and the main reason i deleted is cuz its obvious that algorithm will do everything it can to keep you stuck. I feel free now, im gonna rely on my phone less and finally take a breather. A very true message bro 🔥

Thank you. I really needed that. Today I was so unproductive lying all day long in my bed scrolling down, searching up KZbin drama and all that shit. First I thought okay let me just watch this for 2 minutes but ended up watching the whole thing while doing my night stretches. You got a new subscriber. Appreciate what you are doing!
