Having watched many of your videos now, I have to say what impresses me as much as the locations, is the care and respect with which you conduct your explorations. It is always sad to see a persons entire life reduced to what they leave behind. However, the respect you maintain when showing their intimate memories is a credit to you and your team that run the channel and strongly indicative of your character. Thank you for consistently incredible content but more importantly for the compassion and effort you put in to maintain the dignity of those who’s life’s are left behind to the indifference of time.

@R. I think when people see old homes looking run down or even certain types of antique furnishings they automatically think its haunted. If it was. And it's active then even though he doesn't do haunted places or really believe in it, there will be some noise, shadows or activity. There was a very large manion, or villa he went to months back that I actually spoke with a women who was asking them to help her get out. They were upstairs and heard noises and decided to leave. I was actually listening to the video resting my eyes when the vision came to me and spoke. I immediately sent them a message asking them to please go back and to just tell her it's safe for her to go. To just follow the light. Not sure if the went back. I think they were spooked!!

This is my favorite place so far. The furniture is Victorian but the architecture is more Art Deco. This was such a relaxing video. Now I have to get back to looking for flooring. Now that I finally have internet back. Being more than a few weeks on generator power following Hurricane Ida. A month without internet access your video was a huge delight. Seeing the destruction of this storm has made me more appreciative of all our everyday luxuries. We would have enjoyed the down time had it not been for the sound of all the generators. The extreme heat advisories making it feel even hotter than normal here in South Louisiana. I’m amazed how this storm blew water into homes from the smallest cracks. We have weep holes in the brick of our homes. It allows for moisture to escape and not accumulate leading to mold growth. This is where the water enter my home and ruined our flooring. We were here to clean but sadly many people weren’t here and not allowed to return for at least a week. Their homes are ruined. It will be a long road but we will all make repairs or rebuild. When you open that refrigerator/freezer I nearly gagged. I know exactly what that smells like. We were without garbage pickup for more than two weeks. Happy trails to your American friend. Hope you get to do all the things you want in life. Dreams are very important. Much love

12:06 on the mantle just to the right of the stained glass window is an old brass snotneus whale oil lamp. Circa 18th or early 19th century. Called a snotneus ( for snot nose ) because they dripped oil while burning, they had a little gutter under the spout to catch the dripping oil and return it to the font.

I’m always confused about why people just leave some of the things they do. I really get upset to see pictures of family members left in places, they are just forgotten. I’d be careful about the silverware too, make sure you add yourself putting it back. Depending on the age and availability of the flatware one item can go for a lot of money. On a side note, I’m jealous that in some places in the world electricity seems to be a human right. Not in America!

I always wondered also until i figured out 2 months ago that it had happened to my parents. In September 2019 Dad got sick and passed in October 2019, Mom had started showing signs of Alzheimer's 2 years earlier and his loss made her sink in it lower. But my Demon Possessed sister came in to "handle" things, she had my baby sister take my parents 3 hours away from the home (Dad stayed there a week before passing) and Mom stayed on with my baby sister. Well nearly a year and a half later the house still had not be touched and my demon possessed sister called me and said as soon as she had the house cleaned out I could come wipe down the shelves and sweep... we have no idea what she did with all of the antiques and special things, for 22 years she never even visited Mom and Dad at this home on the lake where they retired, which Dad was really proud of and loved then when Dad gets sick she comes running to control things because I am oldest and disabled. Now I am like you go ahead and keep the headache, she will not honor the will and try to take it all saying us other 3 kids sucked everything out of Mom and Dad but she takes no accountability for herself but there are more situations like that which are reasons homes are left abandoned. Thank God my baby sister got with the attorney and sold the home so it would live on in its majestic glory there on the lake. But in my parents area there are many people who retire there in grand homes, they have children who are now adults that do not care to take on the burden of cleaning out their parents homes, I find here in the senior apartments I live in many times the whole apartment is put in the dumpster because there is no family near by to take care of their items. Sadly sometimes probate court holds up for 7 to 15 years and things become horrid condition, sometimes the inheritor can not afford taxes and the county, state, providence etc do not want to deal with the cost of removing the place. I know in some of the places Moreno has been to the city could have taken the place and turned it into a museum, they could have sold some of the items and paid for the repairs of decay and had a great place for the city. Sorry I got to babbling, This just touches my heart also

I just got to the 15:00 mark and there are some amazing pieces in this home. In the stain glassed window to the left of the fireplace is a rare and beautiful 1903 Tiffany vase, it took my breath away, it is a very special piece. 11:20 Just as amazing as the Louis chair is that amazing Persian rug the chair sits on WOW 11:45 15:15 The copper kettle on the stove is early Victorian era. That is amazing craftsmanship, I don't steal but I could never afford to own these amazing pieces that you have shown lol 11:50 Those elephants look like Victorian era Ellies hand carved elephants, it looks like it is the complete pod. STUNNING! Directly next to the Elephants it looks like an early 1700s Middle East coffee pot before they were made with the long stick handle OMG STUNNING 14:45 the stainglass in the door is reflected in the wood adornments on the ceilings. It is masterful carpentry, so amazing 15:47 is a portable cup holder, looks like a 1970s style maybe

Hearing again and again of clothing left behind, perhaps you could remind people that donating clothing helps in so many ways. The Domestic Violence shelter accepts clothes for victims. The "work ready clothes" are presented to victims who are interviewing for a new job. It helps their self esteem to know they can go to a new job and not wear the same clothing everyday!

Hermosa casa tan ,tan lena de cosas, antigüedades, todo quedó detenido . Maravilloso todo los techos tan trabajados , la arquitectura . Increíble todo la verdad! Saludos cordiales 👍

Unless it has previously been removed, it is surprising to me that there is no piano or keyboard equivalent.

38:59 there is a gorgeous 1800s design candelabra sitting by or on the exercise bike (home trainer) OMG I have only seen those in the movies, too bad you didn't have a closer look at it for me lol. 39:25 you are close to it, I love it very much! 42:54 Those look like a matching pair of Lalique vases, they are so gorgeous those would go for $10,000 to $15,000 for the pair these days 42:58 the marble top vanity dressing table is beyond words too, it is so gorgeous and massive high end of the Art Deco era. 50:14 That is a complete awesome piece, I wonder if it is of stone or if it is bakealite? Really enjoyed your "little" helper there, he got to see such an amazing place. Glad he enjoyed the tour.

This home was just like the folks just walked out the door and didn't return. Very pristine. Thanks, Maureno.

32:56 was that little room a place to store coal? It looks like the construction brick is more of a structural change than original build The home looks like it was remodeled in the 1920s the Art Deco Era. I am so in LOVE with it The pressed leaf wallpaper 33:20 is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Some took a lot of time making that wallpaper. it is actual leaves collected and placed onto strips of wallpaper that has a special glue on it, the glue can not contain any fruit or natural adhesives so to not attract insects. It is really breath taking. Each leaf was laid on that paper, treated so to preserve it in its original color, then they would have had to press it to make sure it stayed flat to be adhered to the walls. A designer would have paid high money to have this wallpaper created. I am so in love with this I can not tell you how taken back I am at its beauty. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the leaf wallpaper. I wonder what kind of tree? Was it from their area or was it from somewhere else? They would have had to collect tons of leaves and press them first before they could make the wallpaper the whole process mind boggles me and I have never seen anything ever done like this. All of the painstaking time..... THANK YOU for sharing it with me

That is really a beautiful place. Although some memories have been left, it does look like some were taken, so hopefully their lives are still remembered. The place looks really comfortable and homey, I hope someone comes to give it love and a family again soon.
