Their kids WERE homeless (technically speaking were wards of the state, so the taxpayers housed them by paying taxes through government services) and they gave them a home, food, clothing, etc. Also, you don’t know the situation of the employees they tipped. Some people who have jobs in the service industry (and other jobs) are homeless and stay in shelters, are in recovery, or struggling financially. Their trip to BK could have provided food for others who may not have eaten that night otherwise. Feel free to go purchase the BK menu yourself to feed the homeless (or use the $ you would have spent to make a donation to a soup kitchen or food pantry). Don’t tell others how to spend THEIR hard earned money!

Shelley I had a similar upbringing in terms of food and I am extremely fussy which doesn't help since I also only have 1 m of intestine due to having crohns disease and aspergers food traits. We only ever had peas, corn, carrots, mashed potatoes, iceberg lettuce, apples, strawberries and plums when in season. I eat more now including capsicum, celery, snow peas, cucumber, tomatoes, parsnip etc as long as it's kept separate on my plate (aspergers). I ended up doing 95% of my Dad's dinners after Mum passed away and he didn't eat any vegetables. At least when was was cooking she would make him eat corn, peas, carrot, beans and mashed potatoes. I showed Mum different ways to cook those few vegetables to make them how Dad would like but she was passed it by then. He liked meals made from a basic tomato and mince sauce so I got a dehydrator and put frozen corn, peas and carrot into it and when totally dry I would turn it into a powder which went into the meat source. It's ironic that rolls reverse at some point in time.

I haven't been to any fast foos restaurants for a very long time, and out of curiosity I compared the burger King Menu in Germany and the US - You can get every burger as a plant based version here in Germany, even the nuggets! There are actually zero vegetarian burgers in the US - like WHY?

I mean, you could always do grubhub or doordash for some of the restaurants in your area. I know its more expensive online and you wouldn't be able to tip the staff, but its an idea for some of the non fast food locations in your area. Or if you plan it ahead, you could see about getting it catered. Might be a fun idea if you invite Crazy Pieces over for it.

Fun!! I am a Whooper with cheese and original chicken sandwich fan! I think you should possibly do a "faster" food chain like Red Robin, Panda express and Chipotle. Maybe collaborate with the Pieces for those plus you can split the cost as that might get crazy! For fast food that I can think of off the top of my head is Arby's, Wendy's, KFC, and isn't there another chicken place too? Culver's? Do you have them? Popeyes? If you all are not Arby's fans that one could be tough. I think you will get lots of food but the question will be will the kids eat roast beef sandwiches? They do have a few other options but really not many. I personally LOVE Arby's and my first choice of all fast food.
