I suffer with depression, I remember my sisters & myself loving Jesus Christ superstar as children & we would often sing songs from it Our childhood's where not happy ones , most of the time. I have just watched 2nd part season 4 of Transparent which this song features. It took me back to days being frightened to go to bed & how the young boy he was used to try & protect his sisters. I couldn't all the time. I am 50 now, trying to listen it in the 'here & now' - but difficult. That little boy still lives in me & I still try & look after him. As sometimes, he looks out for me. This is sang beautifully, I thank you so much for posting.

I've seen several since including the British version with Tim Minchin and Mel C that toured a couple of years ago. But it's the 1992 version that blows everything else out of the water.
