How I wish they did not do the overlays or the voice overs in this clip because seeing Merman singing EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSES in the plaid coat and with the original full arrangement and orchestration give us a strong idea of what her performance of this song was night after night in GYPSY. What a star, what a song, what a president!

That's quite the clever commentary starting at 3:08 when, as Ethel Merman sings "momma is gonna see to it," a very pregnant Jackie Kennedy is shown standing next to her husband, the new president.
