I’m sad this video zooms in so much that you can’t see the stage details like little Anastasia in the background standing and listening, then walking away sadly when Nana sings the final close the door line

For those people who don't enjoy Maria's phrasing, I think it might be worth remembering that this concert was put together with little rehearsal. Her rendition during the later West End run was much more nuanced and polished.

Hmmm the difference between him a Broadway professionals is noticeable. Broadway pros study interpretation, singing and dancing (all at the same time) for years. Its not something you can just master in a few months

I wished they of recorded Miss Siagon with Will Chase instead of the guy on the recording. His voice was all over the place & his top register was awful. This guy is so much better.

I saw her in LA. She was phenomenal. Any lack in her voice was made up tenfold in her acting. Simply stunning performance.

Christopher Isherwood describes Sally as a mediocre singer. She performs with her arms hanging limply by her side. Emma Stone takes this to heart, but she builds the story without going beyond what Sally Bowles would have been capable of vocally and performatively. I've seen many renditions and I continue to be amazed at how many ways this song can be compellingly interpreted.

I'm not a big fan of Ball in this role but Staunton really saves it. She has the perfect voice and energy, and you can tell she prioritised good acting over perfect singing which makes her feel very authentic. Def one of my favourite Lovetts right behind Lupone and mayyybe Lansbury

Obviously this is incredible and this role is for legends only at this point- I personally prefer Bette Midler's performance of this number but I love seeing all the different ways these iconic performers take on this song- I'm excited to see how Audra does it in two weeks when I see the current stage show
