Have a '12 Q7 3.0t for 4 years now and my repairs are only remove and clean the washer level sensor bc rainx orange. Changed oil and just a couple of days ago the brake pad light came on. That's it. Currently have an '04 A6 2.7t project car torn down doing all hoses, oil gaskets and timing belt / water pump...secondary w/p delete, EGT emulators, boost & EGT gage etc etc

did you get one? I just got a 2018 S3 off a lease, barely used at all with 8K miles- I found out that a boomer had it stored in his garage for a while only used it for weekend drives. I have all the options I wanted including upgraded diamond stitched leather seats. I absolutely love this car dearly, even stock its really quick. The driving characteristics are amazing- so nimble and easy to "throw around" with total comfort. I got it with the factory resonator delete, sounds perfect , eventually Ill tune it but leaving it stock for a while.

There’s an S3 with 136k miles on it, asking for $20k. It’s completely done up to run on E-30, tuned transmission, tuned engine, incredibly well taken care of. Nothing wrong with the interior or exterior either. No lights on the dash. His boss gave him the car for $15,000 after it was completely modified and he took over and continued working on it, putting another $4k into it. I’d like to know what to ask if I do decide to purchase it, but I want to know if this is something I should forget about, or if this could last me 10 years if I take care of it

That’s low miles for a 16 s3. Yes they are reliable for sure. Mine has 188k now. I have replaced the usually failed parts but she’s still running great on my stage 2 tune.

That’s awesome. Congrats on the s3. Make sure to change the oil with full syn 5w40 every 10k. Change the dsg fluid and filter every 40k. Change the spark plugs every 40k. Make sure to run top tier 91 or 93oct fuel. My s3 has 159k on it now and still running strong. My stage 1 tune is ready for sale and stage 2 will be ready soon. Let me know and I’ll get you setup. the pasenger seat airbag is subject to a recall. Bring the car to Audi as they recently figured out how to get these repaired

Yah they recall had just been released. I swapped in a known good one for now but I will for sure take it in to have the recall performed

Hi, do you had any problem with mag-ride? And I have seen a little bit oil from the turbocharger inlet line, maybe its normal from crancase oil ventilation? Did you have any problem with turbocharger with these period?

So far the DCC system has been working great. I switch between comfort and dynamic a log and I can feel the change in the suspension when I make the switch. yes you will have a small amount of oil in the inlet area of the turbo due to the pcv system. The is38 is a very reliable turbo as long as its not overspun. I have 157k on the car now and it still hits 26psi without any issues.

It has 146k now. I have replace the water pump and tstat housing, performed a decarb of the intake valves and replaced the pods mat. shes been running great.

@@simonkeane1314 So far my advice to for you and you will thank me later. Is either find proof that the s3 had a CARBON CLEAN VALVE JOB. thats the first thing I did. Since it didn't get done. I paid $300 bucks on a special to get that done. Keep oil changes like religion bud. And filter. Every 5k liqui moly green molygen. Or motul If you tune then everything must be upgraded. Sparks coils etc.... So if you are not turning. That's the first thing. I'd ask. Then oil services. PCV valve need updating if it's 2015 Other than that. This is one of the most reliable 2.0T platforms. MQB ea888 Will be in the history books. Fun fast amazing car. Once I get my s3 way up in Niles. We will do a compression test on the block. And from there I'm thinking of turning for 500Hp + just for fun. 🤣
