Anyone else missing the lore in The Sims 2? Well I do! So I’ll be doing a little series where I tell you the story of that Family whilst bringing them into the Sims 4.
I am currently pre recording content for a trip I’m taking this summer so that’s why the hair colours are not from the most recent patch update!
For this video, I decided to recreate the Dreamer Family and their home in the sims 4. During the video I’ll be talking about the history of the Dreamer family, from their first appearance in the sims 3, right the way through to the Sims 4.

My favorites weren't even from Pleasantview, I was OBSESSED with Veronaville. I loved playing out the Capps and the Monty's drama. I never realized I was getting into Shakespearean levels of Drama, not realizing the parallels until I read Romeo and Juliet in High School. I miss that kind of feel, maybe in TS4 or TS5 they could have a town based off another Shakespearean story

I appreciate your work, and am a huge fan. So please know any criticism is genuine and comes from a place of admiration. Wonderful work as always with the lore and background information. The detail and editing give so much information. Just as the older Sims games the hair and features of all of the sims are very eurocentric, The Sims 4 is the only game you can really make black/afro sims. It would have been nice if instead of a 1:1 with the limited tools, from the older games, the newer black Sims had more black African features and hair textures. You mention Dirk being in The Sims 4, and yes they changed a lot, and not necessarily for the best (like lightening his skin) but at least he looks black in that game. Anyways, this is just my perspective.

I’ve never wanted to play one of the older versions of sims till I watched these. I wish sims 4 had these memory systems and pre existing relationships when you start the game

Really enjoy these videos. Thanks so much. I played the Sims1 and then years later the Sims4, mostly. I dabbled a little with the Sims3. I was a video recently putting forth the idea that the Newbie family from the Sims1 was evolved into the Pancake family of the Sims4. I remember the Newbie family because I played them with every other Sims player.

Late to watching this video, i have been binge watching all your lore videos ❤ you cracked me up saying what has EA been smoking cause you want some 😂 but maaaybe bc dirk and the pleasant twins came out later in the game cassandra would have had enough time to age up to make the generations sync up again? Idk thats just my thought. You should bring these videos back i love them!

My ideal sims 5 story would be set in the early days of Futureville when the Dam holding back the crater was just made and said craters ruins of pleasantview are still submerged underwater. With everything futuristic yet to be developed. The Town at this point would be like modern day Silicon Valley with a lot of cutting edge technology and modern building styles before the Town was redeveloped to be more futuristic.

My favorite is the Pleasant family because when I'm playing their household, I like to age Lilith back down to a toddler and sort of erase all bad relationships. After she gets taught how to walk, talk, and pee she gets aged back into a teen and goes shopping. Happy ending for the Pleasants!

Spot on with the lore problems!! Why give us such dynamic storylines to then take it away? I’m starting to think perhaps the sims team just like fucking with us for the fun of it. Also this was an excellent one as expected but you’re absolutely right the Dreamers are a bit bland in comparison to the other families 🤭

I played sims 2 today and I played as Donny and got Nina, Dina, Kaylynn, and Cassie Goth pregnant 😂 then I played as Kaylynn. She just had twins and moved into an apartment
