That would require a 400 year time skip, because it took them 400 years to get there I believe. The events of mass effect 3 can be found in snippets throughout the game, and if I recall the pathfinder (OG) spoke with the milky way (though the transmissions took time) and if I recall that's how we found out how long it took.

To further add to my theory, if the relay in the milkyway was completed for mass effect 4, than we would have seen those peoples lineage in Andromeda centuries before the ARKS ever arrived, which would effectively RETCON mass effect Andromeda completely, making it as though it never happened, which is fine by me. 😅

I loved them all but originally held off on 3 for bad reviews BUT after finally playing with the remaster, damn bro, I honestly believe 3 got it a bit too hard, what they pulled off with the trilogy is nothing short of a masterpiece and one of the BEST choices and consequence type games ever made.

Dreadwolf has been in production for like nine years. Plus, I believe at that point they were working on Andromeda. And then they released the ME Legendary edition in 2021, meaning there have been two mass effect releases within the last 7 years, while people have been waiting for anything at all on the front of Dragon Age for 10 years.

My thoughts exactly. Given the current state of video games, it's even more critical for Dreadwolf to be a smashing success. And quite honestly, I just don't know if current day Bioware has that in them. I'd hate to see either franchise go away, but I'm going to go into it pessimistic so that anything better is a pleasant surprise.

The worst part is for the next few years EVERYTHING in the genre of games Dreadwolf plays in is going to be compared to Baldur's Gate 3. It doesn't just have to be good. It has to be so good every reviewer isn't saying, "Maybe get around to that Dark Urge play through you've been meaning to do of BG3 instead". So Bioware is heading straight into a no win situation. It's going to be the first high profile high budget game of it's type after an actual decade defining game.

A FPS. A RPG. A Strategy Game. Everyone plays what they like, but no one plays any one thing. There aren't any universally loved touchstones anymore. BG3 was that. BG3 sold more than all Dragon Age games combined. It's one of those oh so rare generational games. Everyone played it. Every type of "gamer" played it. Anyone who reviews it that isn't a traditional western RPG player is going to compare it to BG3, that's their only point of contact with the genre. To all of those people, every single last one of them, Dreadwolf is going to be found wanting. The developers already admitted as much when they were on the "No one should expect BG3 from games" train. Everyone saw that. Everyone remembers that, even if that isn't exactly what they said. Hype as much as you want. Hope as much as you want. But I remember all this from before. All the "Just play Halo." "Just play WoW." "Just play Zelda" "Just play Mario". Any time two games or several games come out within a year or two of a game which takes over on the scale BG3 did it's always what's said. "Just play X instead".

I have a crazy theory that the new mass effect game will probably be not only a sequel to the original trilogy, but an actual prequel to Andromeda. Considering that the events of Andromeda take place 600+ years after the events of the original trilogy; and granted the reason at 600+ years is because they were in Cryo sleep on their journey from the Milky Way galaxy to the Andromeda galaxy, and we know that discourage in the Helios cluster and the carbon dating of the remnant sites are said to be dormant for at least 400 years… it is very possible that the events with the Jardon, a.k.a. the creators of the Angara and what happens with Meridia could be something that the next Mass Effect game would be addressing. Regardless of which ending you chose at the end of Mass Effect three the Normandy still crash lands on an unknown planet. What if that planet is not in the Milky Way galaxy? What if during the events of the ending of massive factory, the Normandy was slingshotted across towards the Andromeda galaxy that would put the remaining crew there at the way before the events of Andromeda. This would also explain why the need to create a new mass relay because obviously they want to reach the Milky Way galaxy again to return back and it also explains why someone like Liara would be talking to the geth as it was their technology that allowed them to observe the Andromeda galaxy in the first place, and she would also know because she sent messages to Alec rider that she knows the arcs are on their way to Andromeda and would not have the people and the manpower to do the things that they need to do in order to return back to the Milky Way. Perhaps the new Mass Effect game would take place somewhere in between these two galaxies and set up events that would take place in both Andromeda and the Mass Effect trilogy chronology going forward maybe even intently creating the kett in the process. It’s a large possibility considering that in Andromeda the games adventure is restricted to the Helios cluster of the galaxy and you don’t get to explore beyond that so there is so much more that you can deal with that and it doesn’t conflict with either ending that you chose at the end of Mass Effect three.

​@@Mister_Stanislav220I'm replaying the Mass Effect trilogy with a bunch of mods and one of them changes the ending to only be destroy, but your choices and efforts affect the accuracy (basically only targeting Reapers instead of indiscriminate synthetic destruction) if the destruction. Bioware might be retconning the ending to be something like that. I'd say it'd be for the better. Reducing your choice to choosing a color and not having your previous choices matter for the ending was terrible design, not to mention the non-destroy choices never having any build-up until the 3rd game (except MAYBE the control ending with the collector base choice at the ending of 2).

3 things I’m sure of. 1 Setting will be post Reaper war with destroy being canon. 2 at least a 600+ year time jump will have happened to fit in the Andromeda Initiative. 3 Dark energy will be a focal point in the story. Other thought maybe the mysterious Jardaan the creators of the angara and remnant might be a civilisation who saw the Reaper threat coming and thus fleeing to Andromeda, what happened to them after is something I want to know because they build them up so much in ME Andromeda and they seemed advanced on the same level as the Prothean’s if not more advanced. Meridian is a construct that requires high advancement, not even the Kett fully understood their technology

Biggest thing about this game is that the endings of the trilogy seemingly don't work. If the geth exist and the reapers are dead, then none of the endings match. It would instead have to be destroy but with only reapers dying, unless it was somehow a pocket of geth that survived by being out of reach.

I'm a longtime lover of this series, from when I played ME1 to when I have just done my 5th run-through of it ending just last night. I hope that they can improve on the camera mechanics when running, In ME3 it would have been better to be able to run and pan the camera so Shep could have ran in that direction. I'd also like to see the use of cloaking camouflage that a few of the other characters have in the series. Perhaps being able to select up to 3 other squad members for a mission depending on the intel you get and how difficult it may seem to complete it meaning it gives you the freedom to select up to that number. Being essentially more open on a lot of the worlds with random events to meeting friendly and interesting species never seen before. Also would like to see more in depth weapon development, to use of smoke grenades or EMPs depending on your class of character. I'd also like to have the ability to use a small light fighter to manoeuvre in tighter spaces to reach a goal or resource. Having given my "Things I'd like to see" I am really really looking forward to the next title, even if it does mean potentially losing Shepard ( given it's timeline he's likely old and unusable) I'm now nearly 40 years old and I'll be gaming till my last breath.

Specifically id like to see how Samara's surviving daughter and the monastari is doing. Todd” Howard messed up fallout 3 and fallout 4. Because of Todd Howard, the enclave has been defeated and gone to ruin. Fallout 4 should have been like fallout 3. I'm curious about that mysterious N7 figure. Slender build, either female or androgynous. Featureless helmet, almost Quarian inspired. Liara looking for N7 armor and communicating with a Geth. I'm thinking the Mysterious N7 figure is perhaps Shepard or at least his/her consciousness inside the body of a custom Geth unit. We know Shepard connected to a Geth Hub to save the Geth and Quarians from the Reapers. We also know that the Geth were interested in Shepard, Legion going so far as to use his/her old armor to patch a hole. Finally, one of the endings to the trilogy allows Shepard to sacrifice him/herself in order for organic and synthetic beings to fuse and achieve a perfect symbiosis. Shepard's consciousness may have survived and found its way into a synthetic unit. So yeah, this is what enters my mind as I see the picture of the Geth shaped crater and think of Legion and how even he didn't know why he chose Shepard's armor specifically to do repairs with.

I am currently playing Andromeda and i have ro say, that universe has potential if used and exploited correctly. I really wish they follow trough on bought sides - original setting and andromeda.

The bodylanguage and gait of the mysterious N7 in the 2024 N7 Day teaser, is strikingly similar to Liara's... (I have a keen eye for details so I'm pretty sure of it). The natural follow-up lore question is whether or not the N-courses are open to other species than human (I don't think so?) OR perhaps will be after the Reaper War. But we'll find out in the next game, I suppose. :-)

Theory: What if after the Reaper war, researching newfound Reaper tech, the Milky Way races developed a way to travel between galaxies faster than what the Andromeda Initiative is currently doing. Seeing as they are building a mass relay, that could be possible. So what if they simply swooped past the initiative arks and nexus and landed in Andromeda centuries in advance. Using the Reaper tech knowledge, they started terraforming planets to make them more habitable...becoming what the initiative knows as Remnants. Since they are there centuries ahead of the initiative, someone among them was bound to play god and created a new race, the Angara. Probably someone else didn't like that idea, conflicts arised and the Scourge happened, since that too is of Remnant technology. Similarly to being cut off from each other like the Protheans during their harvest cycle, they quietly died out or all offed each other. Or terraformed the planets hostile, as we can see in ME:A. Thoughts about this?

I wonder if ME5 could take place during Liara's search for Shepard's body in ME2?? 🤔 That would make it fairly easy to not have to canonize any of the endings, or even any of the major details, while still giving us a good story.

Theory 1: we are going to be playing as a descendant of shephard’s, regardless if by blood or adoption into the family line. Then we can choose human/maybe alien race for character creation and use the Shephard name. Theory 2: Maybe og shephard will still be alive out there for us to find. Prob as a secret human squadmate or npc. Prob have og Shepherd in a cryogenic pod that was lost/stolen for us to find. -Theory 3: Ai Shepherd could be our robot squadmate or as our new Edi for the ship, and later in the story eventually take over a dead reaper as a nod to one of the other endings for a fight or as a hub like the citadel… Theory 4: og Shephard taking his breathe in the true ending is actually him/her waking up after getting lasered by the Reaper while rushing the Beacon of Light at the end. And we’ll get to play it out in the sequal as an intro to what actually happened versus what we played through at the end of ME3. T_T

I don’t think it would include a search for Shepard regardless due to that 2/3 of the ME3 endings have Shepard disintegrated but it’d be nice if they decided to give closure to the romance option about Shepard’s death

@@axelnilsson5124 they said the destroy ending is canon and their continuing from that ending. If you have high enough war assets in ME3 and pick the destroy ending. Its the only one where Shepherd survives. You can see him take a breathe.

I’m also one of the few that believes that Shepard taking a breath in the destroy ending is just her/him briefly returning to the afterlife before momentarily returning there and I believe that in order for Shepard’s story to continue he/her has to be dead regardless of ending because if Shepard survived the destroy ending then how would it play out in the synthesis and control endings as it would be disappointing that they wouldn’t continue the story from those endings because people see those as genuinely good endings

@@axelnilsson5124 *shrugs* in the “synthesis” and “control” endings everyone says Shepherd is seen turning into a “Husk” as he makes his sacrifice except in “Destroy”. Honestly if they decide to keep Shephard around in the next Mass Effect (doubt it) I’d wish we could restart from the moment Shepherd regains consciousness while trying to rush into the beam of light before fighting “Marauder Shields” hehe. I use to love the Indoctrination Theory. Wish we can get a retelling to it without the Star Child stuff as a cool story prologue in the next game. Also: didn’t think about it alluding to the afterlife.

Someone has probably thought this before, but i think the geth made a mass relay that links the 2 galaxies and in the 600 years between me3 and mea it closed because the scourge. The geth did after all make some hocus pocus telescope that could see Andromeda in more "real time". And that might mean that the remnants might be a milky way thing created by geth or maybe even the leviathans. Idk, I'm spitballing and i haven't read deep into any lore at all.

Ali from Syria.. This is my expectation of correcting the atmosphere in Andromeda and entering Méridien. Galaxies will be moved and combined and Shepherd will be revived and played with two characters.

Hey I know I'm late and its probably meaningless but I found something.. I just retrieved the N7 helmet on Alchera and the garment with the N7 logo of the helmets sprite is missing. All Liara picks up in the teaser is the garment with the N7 logo. Maybe "intentional." as Gamble said, likely looking too much into it

There are theories that say that the Destroy ending and Liara romance will have to be canonized for this uocoming game. I disagree. The Mass Effect series was excellent at changing based upon a player's decisions across the games. I think they simply used Liara to simply mean "Your romance choice is looking for Shepard". That Reaper may have been destroyed in open combat with the united fleets, not necessarily from firing the Crucible. I don't think any of the choices will need to be canonized.

They won't be building upon anything previously established, aside from Andromeda. I imagine they'll be bringing the scourge and the Kett into the milky way

@@axelnilsson5124 Yes, I suppose the SR-2 could be repaired after its crash landing. But there is a good reason to build a third Normandy: to use technology obtained from the destroyed/dead reaper hulls to build from the ground up a much more advanced frigate. I believe this will also be how Shepard will be back in action. The replacement of its cybernetic components with technology inspired by the reapers. Even if he's dead, he's been brought back to life before, it might be easier a second time since he's not completely organic.
