Extremely excited probably a little impatient. As an avid Zibo 737 user on XP I just can’t wait for this. Happy to pay a decent amount. I only fly the FBW A320 and the CRJ at the moment so haven’t had to fork out too much so far seeing as FBW is free and the new 380 is coming as well. I am also very much looking forward to the ATR72 from Milviz, be keen to hear any news on that as there is an urgent need for a decent prop passenger plane on MSFS. Great video keep up the good work.

Not true, there's a few options PMDG can do if the NG3 prices less than $99, such as the difference off another product, let's not forget the $99 discount was announced before PMDG knew of how the MSFS market would be

All I know is that it's clear their aircraft rely too much on MSFS coding. It seems every time there is Sim updates it pushes them out of place so badly at the same time listening to another dev with a study-level aircraft in production those changes aren't hindering them

I don't think the issue necessarily is relying too much on MSFS SDK. It's more the fact the SDK is still very much in development and things are constantly changing. This compounded with the fact PMDG are trying to pull off a lot of 'firsts' for this sim in particular, meaning that they are going to be the most likely to uncover and experience any of the snags. There will be a time when things won't be like this but until then a lot of developers have a turbulent ride ahead of them.

Your not wrong. The reason it’s takin Them so long is because the DEVS at PMDG aren’t able to code with the MSFS SDK for some reason. They write everything in P3D and then see what does and what doesn’t work in MSFS. Part of the reason it’s taking forever and why every update breaks the airplane. There doing extra unnecessary steps. I’ve been trying to tell y’all that PMDG are slow and lie about progress. This will not be a plane that releases Q1 of 2022. I’m telling you there no where close. This will be a 2023 release or later. There’s no competition at the moment they know that so they will continue to drag there feet. .

PMDG says this: "We have stumbled into some items that cause us to feel the 737 cannot release without some platform input from Asobo. These items have been communicated to Asobo. Unsurprisingly, Asobo has a highly complex, very busy development agenda and has not provided us with feedback on which items are actionable by them, which are not, and when the actionable items might arrive on user machines. Until we have better clarity on this, it is not possible for us to set a release date for the product with certainty - and thus we are refraining from doing so. Nevertheless, PMDG will continue to work on their aircraft where possible and hopefully will be able to share more happy news with us soon!"

Rob - Your initial point of possibly the same variant packs as P3D is quite likely wrong, actually if you read the posts and listen to the interviews, RSR has said that they are completely changing the way they sell products in MSFS and changing it to a way where you don't buy what you don't want i.e if you only want the BBJ, you don't have to buy the 800/900 base pack. Therefore I don't actually think they'll be a base pack as such As for the simbrief/navigraph integration, the reason why the WT CJ4/ FBW 32NX has it but the CRJ doesn't is because the CJ4/32NX are coded in HTML, where the CRJ is coded in C++, and the integration can't be done for C++ aircraft...yet... As for the TX/WX radars (and I'll let you off as this info only released after this video) it will have the terrain radar on release as it's a custom for PMDG, the wx will have to wait for the API to be opened (hopefully in 2022) but RSR said it's just a quick turn on when they can, As for the price, I am going $70-$90, RSR said in the BlueSky Interview people will be pleasantly surprised how much the price has receded, yes there was the $99 off if you got the ngxu, but this is before PMDG knew how the MSFS market would be, it doesn't matter what they do as long as they give people $99 off, i.e if it's $80, you get it for free and a further $19 off another MSFS product of your choice :)

My price guess is about the same as yours right now. $60-$80 range. As for release that’s a “who knows” kind of deal right now. I put a guess out for just before Christmas which won’t be happening sadly. Like you I’d expect it before April as a general guess at this point lol. And yes I’m very much excited for it and will be grabbing it as soon as they release, I’m also extremely excited for their 777 lineup that they’ve confirmed will be coming after the NG. Probably more excited for that than anything else right now.

As a retired guy with probably 15k hours and type rating in 737s of all eras, I have only been flying Zibo and as a pilot I am mostly happy with it. The FMCs work mostly like the ones I operated, and this is a vital function of the sim. It's not perfect on a few things, the FD lags a bit in initial climb and ILS, but it's usable. This is why I need some competition to compare with. I already thus have a yoke/throttles/rudder (not of highest quality though I plan to switch to Boeing yoke) and my computer is made for simming. I'm ready to go when this thing is released and it will be fun to also compare MSFS to X-Plane and upcoming X-Plane 12.

Issues with EFB, Navigraph, Map display. AND Weather radar??? What a disappointment that Asobo is half-assing their SDK hooks into the sim...may as well stick with P3D....it's no wonder that NOT ONE A2A accusim plane has made its way into MSFS to this date: proof perfect that Asobo just does not want 3rd party aircraft makers to be able to fully realize their aircraft systems in MSFS...what a disappointment...this day and age of fully immersive VISUAL candy in videogames and now flight sims has left extremely accurate/complex 3rd-party aircraft renditions handicapped...bleh and meh...

I think it is going to be a great seller and could possibly yield upto $120 for the base model. Personally, I am interested but will probably not purchase as the hype and delays mean I have lost any excitment I had in this aircraft (which afterall is now quite a dated aircraft). I will certainly compare it with the Feonix Airbus first.

We already knew this... but PMDG says Asobo is holding them up... no release in December as was previously understood by the sim community. So BobbyFuzzy, you are quite late to the party. @@talon5368 If you look at the forums and listen to the interviews, RSR has already confirmed the pricing will be considerably less than P3D, because 1) MSFS has a much bigger market and market forces have reduced prices across the board and 2) P3D is a commercial sim, hence why legally (and this is explained in the forums) P3D products are at a higher price, $200+ for any aircraft in any sim is laughable

No doubt the community is excited for the aircraft, but some of PMDGs recent blog posts have come off as akin to whinging at Asobo. They hit so many roadblocks that other developers haven’t, I think because they want to just import the same 20 year old code rather than pull their finger out and write something for the 21st century. Their forums are also pretty toxic, if you so much as offer a critique of their work you get banned. I’m more excited for the Fenix A320, not because I don’t want a 737- but because I just sense Fenix’s attitude towards customer service and community engagement is lightyears ahead of PMDG.

Hi gamers! Fly very low over land area for 10 min, you will speed up the cpu by 10%, and the multitasking will be faster. Especially useful for laptops, and for older computer. Android and Symbian works too, Android requires 45 min full speed flight, don't need to be close to the surface. Windows benefits better on using the explorer, desktop, or any working. No hack, legal, and won't wreck the working PC. Demo can do the effect. I needed 4x 10 min flight on 2.1 ghz, the speedup is 30% better. It is permanent.

I'd guess around $60 for 800 only, and 20~30 for 900+ER, because MSFS is more "mob" than P3D, some people would get it for less price and after tried that they would found it's too hard for them and give up, so get more cheap "demo" would kinda make scene.

I think for many the price of the base sim at around 60 bucks is a critical barrier for pricing. It's basically economies of scale, if they selling it to a price that will suggest the audience that it's a bargain and if the high quality comes to life. i mean with their brand and their high standards... this could sell like crazy. Possibly the top product for the next year...

It is not just depth in the cockpit; MSFS has hugely impressive depth rendering in landscapes as well, it is something not often mentioned, but for me a major draw to MSFS

I don't see why it's taking so, so long to fix their 737 when they have their DC-6 that they got out so quickly which works perfectly... like why does the DC-6 work so well but not the 737? This is why people get frustrated at PMDG because it just doesn't really make much sense as to why these delays are taking *this* long.

My best guess at this point is we will not see it for a very long time. If we look at Microsoft’s track record here. They have had over a year to stabilize this sim and finalize the sdk so developers like pmdg could release quality products. Rob said it himself that he had to recall any possible release date and timeline. He is at this point going to wait until sim stops being broken every other month and for sdk to be fixed and required items added as he has already had to invest more time and money in it as it keeps breaking. He did mention taking a break early 2022 and then come back and work on other projects for another sim. He did not mention what sim but it would be a good guess that we may see the plane we are looking for in x plane 12

Maybe you should stop twisting what RSR said, because none of what you've said is correct, nowhere has he said PMDG is taking a break from MSFS and working on another sim, in fact he's put MORE resources on the NG3, if you are correct, why don't you go post this on their forums where RSR will quite happily tell you you're wrong and twisted his words. Also it has been confirmed on the forums PMDG is not developing for X-Plane

For example he said they were having issues with panel states but in yesterday’s update they said they’re close to finishing that, also you are correct about PMDG having to down tools but RSR has mentioned that is worst case scenario. All I was trying to say is it might be your opinion but none of it accurately ties in with what RSR has said in the Bluesky podcast, on the TheFlyingFabio’s Stream or his updates on the forum from the 8th 9th or 24th December

I remember the hype for their 747 V3 release, which blows my mind to think was already almost 5 years ago... I refuse to use FS11 (or MSFS) until there's a study-level commercial airliner available, and having purchased the NGXu under the promotion where I get NG3 for free, I am absolutely hotly anticipating this release. I purchased a brand-new PC to be able to handle the sim this time last year, a part of my mind regrets jumping the gun and not waiting for the newer hardware of today, but at the same time I know my RTX 3080 will last for years, and of course I'm very lucky to have even got my hands on one in the first place!

Highly doubting anything under $65. The DC-6 was £55 and this should be quite a lot more complex than that. My honest guess after making this video is $85.
