Rooting for both Darnold,and McCarthy.Great teammates.Looking forward to the Vikings newer look,and am thinking Darnold might surprise.

You think we need more edge rushers? Looks like a pretty full room to me already with Greenard, Ginker, Turner, Carter, PJ2, and Murphy. They need reps in the defense but to me the talent is there already.

I get what you’re saying but you can never have enough D-lineman and edge rushers. The Eagles 2 seasons ago had one of the best D line rotations I’ve ever seen and they steam rolled everyone to the Super Bowl.

I definitely believe that Sam Darnold should be starting quarterback!💜💛🏈 Robert Tonyan is going to be critical for the Minnesota Vikings!

Moss as physically dominating he was, would not go in the middle & play when he wanted to. JJ is a well brought up gent & most complete receiver. Campbell is not crazy.

How about the DT J. Roy? Don’t hear his name much at all.
@puppethound5 ай бұрын
I am realistic, I would be shocked if JJ starts over 2 QBs with game day experience. Unless Darnold pulls a Case Keenum and leads the Vikings to a 13-4 record, which I feel that will be the worst case scenario, the future is JJ. Why do I feel that if Darnold winning being the worst case? Because there is not much room for improvement as a team if/when JJ takes over and most likely Darnold gets paid big..BY SOME OTHER TEAM and the Vikings have to HOPE JJ can replace Darnold.

Troy Aikman as a rookie QB started for the Cowboys and was 0-11 but shortly under Aikman they went on to win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years. Learned under fire.
@Major9925 ай бұрын
Bad example but I get what you're saying. Aikman to me is overrated. This man was carried by a run game, has never thrown more than 23TDs, and has almost as many Ints than TDs. Yet he's a HOFer. Do that in today's world and he's a bust!

Hershel Walker trade gave Dallas 3 1sts, 3 2nds, a 3rd and a 6th round pick? That’s how Aikman got better fast.. the Hershel Walker trade.

I think the Risner signing probably moves Jurgens to the PS this season, but yes I agree Jurgens starting some time late in 2025, or ready to go in 2026 would be an ideal progression.

Is McConnell trying to change McCarthy throwing and footwork? Why? Did Reid do that to Mahomes? If mcarthy was so good, why are they trying to change the way he plays?

until KOC pulls his stubborn head out of his ass, i expect an average offense (scoring) at best. too predictable. too myopic. one dimensional. without diversifying the attack, defenses will just put their ears back and pressure the hell out of the Vikings. he needs to develop: - a run game with some imagination (not this bullshit straight handoff from a shotgun) - a workable screen game for both TE's and RB's (it sucks now. it really sucks) - attacking the width of the field with sweeps and safety valve passes (block/release patterns) - and finally....something other than failed "kush push" short yardage plays
