I've been asking myself every day how we got from JFK to where we are now. My father was a Blue-collar worker as a welder and originally a die-hard Democrat in the days of JFK, but today, you couldn't pay him to vote for a Democrat, because the party is unrecognizable in its current form. He is retired and living on a very fixed and limited income, and still believes the Republicans are a safer bet when compared to the Democrats of today. The unfortunate reality is that EVERY politician is only in it for themselves, regardless of which side of the aisle they sit on, but at least the more conservative voices are still allowing people some semblance of freedom of speech without resorting to violence to silence them. Take care Buddy, and keep doing what you do brother.

Today Roosevelt, JFK, RFK and Carter would be outcasts. Young people often start out as liberals because they are emotional and have a heart. As they age many become conservative because they have a brain.
